Giulio Roberti (1823 - 1891) was an Italian composer
and musicographer.
Roberti was a pupil Lauro Rossi and in 1849 he gave the theater his first opera Pier de Mèdici, moving shortly thereafter to Paris, where he remained until 1858, when he returned to Turin to premiere his second opera Petrarca, which failed due to libretto. He then returned to Paris, and later London and, finally, Florence, where he founded a school of singing and was in charge of the development of the education of...(+) |
