Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596525 Composed by Juan MarÃa Solare. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Latin. Score. 7 pages. Juan Maria Solare #3621769. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596525). The piano piece Bad Hombres Jumping Over my Wall While Yelling '¡Arriba!, ¡Arriba!' was composed in Bremen, Germany, in August 2018, for the project 45miniatures by pianist Nick Phillips. The overall character of this piece responds vaguely to Nicholas Phillips' suggestion: playful/childish outbursts, in the form of heckler chords or bad hombre-like non-chord tones. The title depicts a surrealistic, clownesque, ridiculous situation; a dream for some and a nightmare for others. For those totally unaware: the expression Bad Hombres was used by president Donald Trump during the third 2016 United States Presidential Debate. While answering a question about his immigration policy, Donald Trump stated that there were a lot of drug lords in the United States and that they needed to be removed. He concluded his comment by saying we have some bad hombres here and we have to get them out. (thus implying that the responsible of US' drug problems are Latinos)Character and moods: happy, merry, mysterious. About the performance All the piece consists of mini clusters (two minor seconds). The notation can be sometimes obscure (due to the many unavoidable accidentals). To facilitate the reading (deciphering) of the score, the easiest is to follow the highest note of each cluster: they usually form a simple chord. For instance, bar 17 is (melodically speaking) a F7 chord. Got it? L = Left Hand R = Right Hand The verbal comments along the music are not meant to be actually read aloud, but alla mente (like in some Satie's music). However, if you want to recite them at concert, go ahead.Juan MarÃa Solare (http://www.JuanMariaSolare.com)

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1502425 By Gloria Gaynor. By Harry Simeone, Henry Onorati, and Katherine K. Davis. Arranged by Justin K. Reeve. Christmas,Holiday,New Age. Score. 3 pages. Justin Kenlon Reeve #1078230. Published by Justin Kenlon Reeve (A0.1502425). “Little Drummer Boy,” originally titled “Carol of the Drum,” is based on a traditional Czech carol. In 1957, Henry Onorati arranged the song for a recording by the Jack Halloran Singers, but it was not released in time for Christmas. The next year, Harry Simeone was looking for material to create a Christmas album, and Onorati introduced him to the “Carol of the Drum.” Simeone re-arranged the song, retitled it “The Little Drummer Boy,” and recorded it with the Harry Simeone Chorale on the album Sing We Now of Christmas. The song is the story of a young shepherd boy who joins the procession of the wise men and other humble admirers to the Savior’s manger. When the boy reaches the gathering, others present gifts, but all the boy can afford is his gift of making music on his drum. Over 200 versions of this song in at least seven languages have been written. In September 1977, an additional track was recorded for Bing Crosby’s Merrie Olde Christmas television special, performed by Crosby and David Bowie. According to co-writer Ian Fraser, Bowie balked at singing “Little Drummer Boy.” “I hate this song. Is there something else I could sing?” Fraser recalls Bowie telling him. Fraser, along with songwriter Larry Grossman and the special’s scriptwriter, Buz Kohan, then wrote the “Peace on Earth” lyrics as a counterpoint to “Little Drummer Boy.” Crosby performed “Little Drummer Boy,” while Bowie sang the new tune “Peace on Earth,” which they reportedly performed after less than an hour of rehearsal. Crosby never lived to see his performance on television, as he died a month after recording. The show aired in November 1977 on CBS.

The meaning of this song is that if we right something down like a message or film tape so on you can then hide it good well sometime in the future the item will still be there as long as it is not destroyed thus it will travel in the future the best way is on paper writings or stone tablets because in the future they may have or may not have the same technology as we do today for videos or tapes so on to see it or hear the message if someone in the future finds it off course it would have to be preserved from things like weather that can destroy it well the old saints preached the gospel everywhere but also wrote it down and hid it well well by miracle by praying GOD preserved it and now we got the holy bible this is proven that there was no way in the world that this holy bible could have survived preserved all these years unless GOD preserved it which he did this is the story of how the holy bible survived the time they found it they found it in different books lots of them in different places of the world this proves there must be a GOD out there who preserved it the HOLY BIBLE thus the song says s o s reaching the future thus it means as i said above

Film/TV,Jazz,Multicultural,Singer/Songwriter,Standards,World. Score. 8 pages. Timothy Stapay #811114. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1213917). Yesterday When I was Young is a song composed by Georges Garvarentz and written by Charles Aznavour and released in September 1964. The original French title translates to Just yesterday or Not so long ago.It is considered one of Aznavour's greatest hits. The English-language lyrics, written by Herbert Kretzmer, tell of someone reflecting on his life, recalling how he had wasted his younger years.Lyrics:[Verse 1]Yesterday when I was youngThe taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongueI teased at life as if it were a foolish gameThe way the evening breeze may tease a candle flameThe thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I plannedI always built, alas, on weak and shifting sandI lived by night and shunned the naked light of dayAnd only now I see how the years ran away[Verse 2]Yesterday, when I was youngSo many drinking songs were waiting to be sungSo many wayward pleasures lay in store for meAnd so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to seeI ran so fast that time and youth at last ran outI never stopped to think what life was all aboutAnd every conversation I can now recallConcerned itself with me, me and nothing else at all[Verse 3]Yesterday the moon was blueAnd every crazy day brought something new to doI used my magic age as if it were a wandAnd never saw the waste and emptiness beyondThe game of love I played with arrogance and prideAnd every flame I lit too quickly, quickly diedThe friends I made all seemed somehow to drift awayAnd only I am left on stage to end the play[Outro]There are so many songs in me that won't be sungI feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongueThe time has come for me to pay for yesterdayWhen I was youngYoung, young...

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.935500 Composed by Kazys Daugela. Christmas,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Kazys Daugela #6292371. Published by Kazys Daugela (A0.935500). Four-part suite The Seasons for narrator and orchestra Lithuanian composer Kazys Daugėla created on the basis of K. Donelaitis poem The Seasons plots and the most famous artist Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas (1907-1997) woodcut illustrations. These Donelaitis poem The Seasons illustrations have become classics of Lithuanian art. Composer created his paintings of the suite using native Lithuania Minor folk song melodies. Some of them are written almost 200 years ago. Most songs used are from Christian Bartsch prepared and published by Lithuanian folk songs Song of the votes. If you do not doubt that the song’s soul is in the melody, it should also be true, that the song is understood correctly only when we sing or listen to it – so believed Ch. Bartsch. He could not possibly foresee that the songs that sounded at his time will be wiped out in parallel with the East Prussian population. But after all, maybe he did predict? Therefore, he was rescuing them. The ancient epics and worldview associate The Seasons with cyclical idea of time, which is expressed by the view of The Sun’s path in the sky. The main hero of this musical work is The Sun and the diversity of nature, life and work associated with it. In the Eternal Circle we born, age, die - everything repeats, nothing new happens. In the second part of the The Cares of Winter, the Lithuanian traditional Advent song Sodai, sodai, leliumoj was used and developed.

Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069995 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Christian,Sacred. Accompaniment. Duration 231. Boothe Publishing #5984125. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069995). Fourteen year old Joseph Smith went into a grove of trees to pray and ask God for help to know which church was true, and which one he should join. God and His son Jesus Christ appeared to him and spoke to him face to face. With the appearance of God and His son to the boy Joseph Smith, there was once again a prophet on the earth. This event came to be called the first vision. This vision proved to Joseph Smith that God is not dead. God and His son Jesus Christ are alive and love us today. They have not left us alone here in the world to work out our own salvation. The greatest teachers and preachers of our times cannot save us for they are subject to death. Only Jesus Christ could and did break the bands of death. God talks to us today through His prophets. He does not speak to us through those who say He is gone and has left them in charge. The only way to find truth about God is to study His doctrine and then talk with Him. Ask Him if what you are learning is true. With 4,300 Christian religions on the earth today, we can know through revelation from God which is His true church. There can be only one. God told Joseph that He had a great work for him to do. God sent an angel who revealed to Joseph plates of gold. These plates of Gold were records kept by Israelite prophets in ancient America. God brought them to this land of promise before the Jews were carried away captive into Babylon. I know this is true. You can read the Book of Mormon. You can ask God for yourself if it is true. Then you too can know, for God will answer your prayer.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.761847 Composed by Louis Landon. New Age,Spiritual. Score. 5 pages. Landon Creative, Inc. #3129855. Published by Landon Creative, Inc. (A0.761847). Healing Hearts is the fourth solo piano release from Louis Landon in less than two years, an indication that his 2013 move to Sedona, AZ sparked an amazing creative streak for him. Since his move, Landon has established Healing Piano of Sedona which offers a unique sound healing experience to create mental, physical and emotional well-being. Landon is a Steinway Artist who has toured internationally and has released seventeen albums, eleven of which are solo piano (one is a best of). He has been using the techniques of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky for spiritual development since 1980. Healing Piano of Sedona was created to help people live life joyously, passionately, stress- and disease-free.The thirteen tracks on Healing Hearts were created spontaneously to assist individuals in their emotional and spiritual well-being. I have to admit that in the past, I have had a strong preference for Landon’s more composed music, but he is improvising and performing so much now that his spontaneous music is incredibly cohesive and complete and the emotional content is rich and sincere. Landon has performed house concerts in my series every year for the past seven years and while his music has always been exceptionally good, now it’s often breathtaking in its beauty and honesty. Nothing is held back, coming from the purest source of creativity. I’m blown away by the music on Healing Hearts and am certain that it will be the second of Landon’s albums on my Favorites list for 2014.Most of the tracks overflow with peace and serenity. In fact, Louis calls his home studio The Peace Palace and I can see why! A couple of pieces are a bit livelier, but the entire album is perfect for a warm and soothing background. However, be sure to treat your mind and soul to a blissful hour of calming music that can effortlessly heal the spirit and wash away the cares of the moment, the day, or life in general - at least for a while. All of the tracks are exceptional, but I’ll mention a few favorites. Amy’s Song is a breath of fresh air - graceful, tender and very warm. Gorgeous! Desert Peace is somewhat more ambient and so peaceful. I love the title track, which is more minor and a bit darker, but so poignant and compelling. Now or Never seems to be offering support and encouragement to move forward - gently but firmly. Sacred is almost hymn-like. The Great Unknown is dedicated to a young family member who passed away recently. Dark and sometimes painfully sad, there is hope as the healing process takes place - an amazing piece of music! The Painter expresses the passionate spirit that can flow from one artist to another. Unstoppable begins quietly and simply, gradually building energy, strength and power. Unstoppable, indeed! A great, upbeat ending to a fantastic album!Healing Hearts is a must-hear! It is available from louislandon.com, Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby. Very highly recommended!

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1203048 By Isadar. By Isadar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jazz,New Age. Score. 7 pages. Mainya Music Publishing (BMI) #801732. Published by Mainya Music Publishing (BMI) (A0.1203048). Contains:Numb - taken from the Isadar solo piano collection, The Purple Heart (improvisational solo piano) (available soon on SMP) Sounds like: Keith Jarrett's Köln Concert, Bill Evans, Liz Story, George Winston, early Windham Hill solo piano artists Transcribed by:  David Shenton ( https://www.shentonmusic.com/ ) verbatim to the sound recording Album & Songbook review by:  Kathy Parsons (MainlyPiano.com):The Purple Heart is Isadar’s solo piano tribute and memorial to the people who lost their lives in the 9/11/01 tragedy. Recorded as a 56-minute improvisation on 12/25/02, the music is thoughtful, somber, and quite elegant. There are actually thirteen pieces on the CD, but they segue into each other, making it difficult to tell where one song ends and another begins. This is very definitely NOT a problem, as the album unfolds naturally and organically, asking questions, looking inward, and expressing shock and grief. However, this is not music about only despair or rage. I also hear hope and determination as well as quiet reverence - the strange mix of emotions we all felt during those dark days. Titles include From Cradle to Coffin, Bravery, Numb, New York Skyline, and Truth. Isadar has a wonderful way of wearing his heart on his musical sleeve, pouring deep emotion and heartfelt expression into his music. The music was recorded in one take, but rather than meandering all over the place, Isadar used recurring themes that make the work cohesive and consistent enough to hold together even after many listens. This is a very strong and passionate work, but it was recorded with a rather quiet voice which allows it to be very comfortable and soothing background music as well as evocative solo piano music for concentrated and focused listening. The Purple Heart Sheet Music Collection is a note-for-note solo piano transcription of Isadar’s 2003 memorial CD by the same name (transcribed by David Shenton). The recording and book are a tribute to those who died in the attacks of 9/11/2001. The music was recorded in one take and although there are thirteen titles, the pieces segue into each other, creating a seamless 56-minute improvisation. The book indicates where the various pieces begin and end, but can also be played as one long piece. Although the theme of the music is very somber and bleak, the music covers the broad range of emotions we all felt during that period - anger, sadness, hope, determination, resolve, fear, grief, etc. Although the recording is an improvisation, Isadar incorporates a recurring theme that holds the work together as a single entity. Some pieces are very slow while others are lively and even fast. All thirteen pieces are in C minor/Eb major, but the variety of moods and tempos keep the music evolving without becoming repetitious. When the recurring theme pops up, it’s like seeing an old friend! The difficulty in playing someone’s improvisation is that the creation of the music was spontaneous and free-flowing. It isn’t easy to read an improvisation and give the music that quality of freedom. Less advanced pianists might find this frustrating. The time signatures change frequently, but a competent pianist will have no trouble with that. As I was playing this book, I sensed that I was looking directly into Isadar’s heart and feeling what he was feeling as the music was being born - a very powerful experience! Isadar is an artist on both Enlightened Piano Radio & Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, featuring today's biggest names in solo piano music.

Fantasia Sonata in D Major for piano solo - Ludwig van Beethoven (Unv 12 / deest 45) - Reconstructio

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.933520 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, Cees Nieuwenhuizen. Classical. Score. 48 pages. Upstream Music #482215. Published by Upstream Music (A0.933520). There are many more unfinished than completed compositions of Beethoven that have been preserved. ln these fragments one sees ideas for individual works. A large number of sketchbooks and sketches from the composer were preserved and are housed in libraries and private collections all over the globe. Some sketches are no more than brief experiments or short elaborated ideas, but there are also fragments preserved that nearly give us a complete picture of a composition. In the so-called Kafka sketchbook, which was published in 1970 in London, approximately 500 fragments of manuscripts were bundled that stem from 1786 - 1799. The Fantasia Sonata in D (deest 45) for piano forte in three parts, was hidden in the archives since 1792. This sonata of the young Beethoven, with striking similarities to the Moonlight sonata and the Pastorale has never been performed on stage. Young pianotalent Martin Oei played it for the first time in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, October 21st, 2012. The large, over 1100 bars comprising torso now known as Fantasia Sonata in D from 1792, cannot be called a sketch anymore, although Beethoven has not completed the work and used many ideas in other, later works. The reconstruction of the sketches was done by the Dutch Beethoven musicologist and composer Cees Nieuwenhuizen. The piece was probably written in Bonn, three years before he started to write his first official piano sonata of a series of 32 sonatas. In November 1792 Beethoven went from Bonn to Vienna to study with the famous composer Joseph Haydn (1732–1809). Beethoven rapidly proceeded to make his mark as a brilliant keyboard performer and as a gifted young composer with a number of works to his credit. In 1795 his first mature published works appeared, and his career was officially launched. Striking harmonies The re-using of previously drafted material is quite common in Beethoven's works. Apparently the material wasn't yet ripe enough at the time of its origination, or perhaps Beethoven changed his mind with regards to the new composition. This could very well be so regarding the torso from Kafka’s sketchbook that we now call the Piano Fantasia sonata in D. This piece contains 1100 bars of music, not taking into account the alternative bars. The piece is composed by Beethoven in 1792 - 1793 and was set up as a tripartite sonata in D with remarkable abnormalities in terms of form and content. There are striking harmonies that cannot be found in other works composed in that same period. It’s possible that the composer didn’t have the courage to publish it or that indeed the time was not yet ripe for it. Finally the composer let the draft go and never came back to it. Or did he? Thematic similarities We find phrases in several later works that share similarities with ideas and themes from Fantasia sonata in D. The first part of Fantasia sonata has the same theme as the trio of the third movement of Symphony no. 7 (in A Major Opus 92). Even the key and also the rhythm in 3/4 time are the same. This cannot be a coincidence. Similar mood and thematic parallels can be found in the Pastorale, the Sonata for piano no. 15 (Opus 28): it is striking that this piece is also composed in D and in 3/4 time. We find similar dramatic expression in the Sonata for piano no. I 7 in d minor Opus 31 no. 2. The second movement of the Fantasia sonata nearly has the same theme as the second movement of the Sonata for piano no. 23 in minor (the Appassionato Opus 57). Martin Oei, Daiel Wayenberg, Cees Nieuwenhuizen at The World Premiere in The Concertgebouw Beethoven begins the third movement of the Fantasia sonata with the main theme of the first movement, but now in e minor. lts appearance in minor is an entirely new idea. Nevertheless Beethoven doesn't elaborate the idea any further because it disappears after 29 bars. Now a new agitated theme starts in d minor, which was announced in the first movement, but now reappears in its complete.

He composed the piece in 1935 and recorded it with his orchestra during the same year. According to Ellington, the song was born in Durham, North Carolina. We had played a big dance in a tobacco warehouse, and afterwards a friend of mine, an executive in the North Carolina Mutual Insurance Company, threw a party for Amy. I was playing piano when another one of our friends had some trouble with two chicks. To pacify them, I composed this there and then, with one chick standing on each side of the piano.

Colores de un otoño incipiente -- Colors of an incipient autumn seven somewhat abstract pieces for piano Recording of Colores de un otoño incipiente - piano in several platforms Colores de un otoño incipiente -- on Spotify In this work, an idea that has haunted me for a long time crystallizes: that the titles of the individual pieces are read like lines of a poem. Colors of an incipient autumn The day declines. Coppery with old leaves, the earth awaits. Innocence Parched by the long vigils. Frugal in the face of excess, He resigned himself to the unfinished And he left a hole of light in this nothingness. Such a poem alludes without great subtlety to decadence and aging. The title Apergaminada por las largas vigilias is taken from a poem by Pedro Lastra. Y dejó un hueco de luz en esta nada comes from a micropoem attributed to Alejandro Güerri, written in memory of Javier Adúriz. This seventh piece, transparent and delicate, pictures a being definitively transformed into light. The idea of desmesura (excess) arises from the prologue by Javier Adúriz to his book Solos de conciencia (1985): Faced with the excess of death, consciousness perceives the weakness of its willful affirmation, the one for which it feels itself unique and safe from all decrepitude. Adúriz was one of the fundamental figures in my artistic training. And apparently he still is. Musically, this cycle of works abounds in harmony of chords by fourths in a minimalist neoclassical aesthetic. The way of working texturally with the piano as an instrument - my instrument - highlights the pedal, the resonances, the third dimension of sound. These seven somewhat abstract pieces were composed at the end of 2019 in and around Bremen, in several cases with my new-born daughter Laura in my arms, trying to put her at to sleep and staying asleep. This explains the cautious nature of the music and its prudent dynamics that never reach a mezzoforte. There were several unsuccessful attempts to release this recording (initially planned for September 2020, at the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere). Finally, the album will be released (on Spotify and other streaming platforms) on 22 April 2022, coinciding with what would be my father's 103rd birthday. It is also autumn but in the southern hemisphere. Recorded on a Steinway B grand piano (serial number: 568208) at the Musikschule Bremen (Germany) with two Neumann KM-184 microphones. Recording and mastering technician: Alexander Derben. For the artwork, the impressive photographer and visual storyteller Leon Drago, from London, has kindly authorised the use of his photograph Pathway, The Garden House and Pergola, Hampstead Heath extension, London. Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818222 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Martin Luther. Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Sacred. Score. 15 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #3070993. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818222). A Mighty Fortress is Our God ♫ piano solo arrangement by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ Martin Luther wrote Ein Feste Burg sometime between 1527 and 1529. (Luther published the Ninety-five Theses in 1517 and was excommunicated in 1521.) Ein Feste Burg was translated into English by Miles Coverdale in 1539 with the title, Oure God is a defence and towre. The English text most familiar to me was translated by Francis Hedge in 1853. ♫ Luther believed in the power of music. In 1558 in the Forward to Georg Rhau's Symphoniae he wrote “I truly desire that all Christians would love and regard as worthy the lovely gift of music, which is a precious, worthy, and costly treasure given to mankind by God. … next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world. It controls our thoughts, minds, hearts, and spirits.... Our dear fathers and prophets did not desire without reason that music be always used in the churches. Hence, we have so many songs and psalms. This precious gift has been given to man alone that he might thereby remind himself that God has created man for the express purpose of praising and extolling God.†♫ In his lifetime, Luther made 3 major contributions to the Church: the doctrine of salvation by faith alone, the belief that Scripture should be translated into the people's language (producing a translation of the Bible into German), and the birth of congregational singing. In Roman Catholic churches of his day, only the cantor and a chorus sang the mass in Latin. He was determined to restore congregational singing in German to the church. ♫ In the slides, I have featured the Citadelle Laferrière, a fortress in Northern Haiti, commissioned in 1805 by Henri Christophe and completed in 1820, following Haiti’s independence from France in 1804. ♫ music © 2010 (copyright registered in 'Rejoice Ye Pure In Heart’ collection) ♫ recording ℗ 2020 Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ presentation © 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ performed by the arranger ♫ This .pdf file includes 2 files: 1) Letter size piano score 2) Small page piano score for performing from a 10 inch tablet ♫ (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818283 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Franz Joseph Haydn. Arranged by edited by Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Classical. Score. 14 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #4967139. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818283). Piano Sonata 40.2 Presto (Classical Music for Tablet Series) Franz Joseph Haydn was born in 1732 in a small village in Austria, near the Hungarian border. ♫ His father was a wheelwright and a leader of the town. His mother had been a cook in the palace of a Count. His father had taught himself to play the harp. His family was musical and often sang together (16 brothers and sisters). His father saw that he was extremely musical and that he couldn’t get the education he needed in his little village. When he was 6 years old, he was sent to the home of a relative about 7 miles away to study to be a musician. He never lived with his parents again. ♫ In 1752 he was employed by Count Karl Joseph Morzin, leading the Count’s small orchestra and writing the first of his symphonies. ♫ In 1760 he married Maria Keller. They had a very unhappy marriage, producing no children. ♫ In 1760 Count Paul Andre Esterhazy (one of the wealthiest and most important nobles in the Austrian empire) hired him as assistant director of music. In 1766 at the age of 34, Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy appointed Haydn his Director of Music. His job was divided between the Esterhazy palace in Austria their palace across the border Hungary. ♫ Haydn dedicated Piano Sonata 40 to Princess Marie Esterhazy. He worked for the Esterhazys for the next 28 years, writing hundreds of pieces of music for the prince. After about 15 years, he signed a new contract allowing him to write music for other customers. Haydn’s reputation grew to international fame. ♫ Haydn wrote 104 Symphonies. (Some count 107.) Not unlike George Washington, nicknamed the “Father of our Countryâ€, yet had no children, Haydn is known as the “Father of the Symphony.†and the “Father of the string Quartet.†♫ Napoleon captured Vienna in 1809. Napoleon, himself, ordered an honor guard be placed at Haydn’s home where Haydn lay dying. ♫ The Classical Music for Tablet Series offers piano masterworks by classical composers formatted to be read on 10 inch tablets. I use an Amazon Kindle with Mobile Sheets Pro and an Air Turn blue tooth foot pedal to practice and perform piano music. Similar products available to provide other tablets the same functionality. ♫ The pieces in this series have not been arranged, but most have been edited slightly, and have been formatted to fit this screen size. For example, in the tablet versions, first and second endings are often removed and the repeated measures and endings written into the music so the performer can avoid having to go back to previous pages. These kinds of section repeats were invented to spare the composer’s time and the cost of extra paper and ink. But with a tablet the cost of paper and ink is irrelevant. ♫ Although there are a lot more page turns with a 10 inch screen compared with letter size pages, the readability of the music (due to the backlighting on the tablet) and the portability of the music (travelling with a small tablet instead of oversized books or portfolios of sheet music) easily makes up for the extra page turns. ♫ Your purchase provides one .pdf file that contains both the tablet edition and the letter size page (printable) version. There are several programs available online that will allow you to separate this .pdf file into 2 .pdf files to make it more useful.

Piano Solo - Easy/Beginner - Digital Download Composed by Louis Landon. 21st Century, New Age. Sheet Music Single. 4 pages. Published by Landon Creative, Inc.
Healing Hearts 3<br> Louis Landon<br> 2016 / Landon Creative, Inc.<br> 63 minutes<br> Review by Kathy Parsons<br> Louis Landon’s Healing Hearts 3 is the third in a series of solo piano albums that are comprised of improvisations that were created while clients were in session at his Healing Piano of Sedona (AZ). These sixty-minute healing and music sessions consist of forty minutes of mentoring and twenty minutes of music that includes personalized music for the client’s own use. Landon created Healing Piano of Sedona several years ago to help people live life joyously, passionately, and stress- and disease-free. Landon is a Steinway Artist who has been a life-long musician. Healing Hearts 3 is his twenty-first album and fourteenth solo piano collection. Each of the thirteen pieces on the album was inspired by a different “soul journey,” so the music is quite varied although it maintains a very calming and peaceful vibe throughout.<br> <br> It is interesting to note that Healing Hearts 3 has the closest to the ideal sound Landon has been looking for on his recordings. He attributes that achievement to the mastering and editing expertise of Joe Bongiorno of Piano Haven Studio, also in Sedona. Landon has been trying to get the sound of a classical concert hall in his Peace Palace studio recordings and this album definitely has that sound, which is exceptionally beautiful - clear, warm and resonant.<br> <br> Healing Hearts 3 begins with “Standing In the Light,” a softly flowing piece with a poignant melody that gently soothes the heart - a favorite. “Heart Song” is hushed, intimate and obviously very personal. “Triumph of the Soul” starts out in the deep bass of the piano - very dark and lost. As the piece evolves, it gradually lightens as it moves up the piano keyboard, ending in a very positive place. I’ve often said that the piano is the best instrument to express the sound and feeling of rain and “Night Rain” proves that point again. More energetic than most of the other tracks, the notes flow freely: sometimes smoothly and evenly, sometimes more percussive like big fat raindrops - love it! “Tears” is heartbreak set to music, although tears are so often a big part of the healing process. Such deep emotion is expressed in this piece! Landon wisely follows sadness with “Happy Man,” a lively slice of pianistic sunshine. “Phoenix Rising” begins in the deep bass of the piano, obviously signifying a very dark place or crisis. Over the course of the composition, there is turmoil and pain, but then Landon gradually moves the piece into the upper end of the piano to a much lighter and more peaceful place - a stunning piece! “Healing Time” is gently uplifting and so soothing and serene that I can actually feel it melting away tension - another favorite. “Music Runs Through Me” flows quickly like a stream with sparkles of sunlight dancing happily on its surface. “Balance” returns to a calm stillness that comes when things/life are in balance. Slow, lyrical and very peaceful, it’s the perfect closing for another great album from Louis Landon!<br> <br> I have thoroughly enjoyed all three Healing Hearts albums, but I think #3 is my favorite. It is available from LouisLandon.com, Amazon, iTunes and CD Baby. Very highly recommended!<br> November 4, 2016<br> <br> Recorded at The Peace Palace, Sedona, AZ, from November 2015 to February 2016. on a Steinway B.<br> <br> Music mastering: Joe Bongiorno at Piano Haven Studio, Sedona, AZ<br> <br> <br> <br> Louis Landon is a composer and Steinway artist. His latest, entitled Provocative Piano, was released on January 29, 2021. Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1281191 Composed by Wanda Landowska. Arranged by Zellev. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Folk,New Age. Score. 7 pages. Zellev Music #872533. Published by Zellev Music (A0.1281191). Key Signature: Fâ?¯ minorTime Signature: 3/4Tempo: Allegro vivace (143)Difficulty: AdvancedWanda Landowska (July 5, 1879 - August 16, 1959) was a Polish harpsichordist and composer who led the revival of the popularity of the harpsichord in the early 1900s. She was one of the earliest advocates and scholars on historically informed performance practices, and she made the first-ever recording of J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations on the harpsichord.Landowska was born in Warsaw in 1879 and started playing the piano when she was four years old. As a child, she studied with Jan KleczyÅ?ski and then Aleksander Michalowski. Kleczynski noticed in her lessons that she had an affinity for older Baroque music, and he didn't want to impose his sensibilities onto the already apparent musical prodigy. Consequently, her mother decided that Kleczynski was too lenient of a teacher and sent her to study with the stricter Michalowski, who was a Chopin specialist. When she was 16 years old, Landowska moved to Berlin to study composition with Heinrich Urban, but was discouraged by the rigid curriculum. However, while in Berlin she composed songs and orchestral works, and she met her future husband, Henry Lew. In 1900, the young couple moved to Paris and got married. There she became associated with the Schola Cantorum, and was introduced to Vincent D'Indy, Albert Schweitzer, and other prominent performers and musicologists of the era.Throughout the next ten years, Landowska toured Europe and Russia, and dedicated herself to researching the authentic performance practices of older music. Her husband assisted her in this research, and they often utilized libraries that they encountered while touring. She concluded that it's more appropriate to play Baroque keyboard music on the harpsichord rather than on the piano. By 1909, Landowska and her husband published the book Musique Ancienne, which was the culmination of all of their research regarding the performance practices of Baroque music. She also started teaching harpsichord classes in 1913 at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin.Ten years later, Landowska made her debut in the United States, performing with the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Stokowski. Also in 1923, she performed in the world premiere of Manuel de Falla's El retablo de maese Pedro, where she met Francis Poulenc and asked him to write a harpsichord concerto for her. She also commissioned a concerto from Falla in 1925, which would prove to be a modern masterpiece. In 1929, Landowska performed the premiere of Poulenc's Concert champêtre in Paris. By this time, she had settled in a town north of Paris, and was teaching from her school L'Ã?cole de Musique Ancienne, which she established in 1925. She offered private and group courses and an annual summer concert series that was very popular. Landowska taught and performed in this capacity until 1940, when she had to abandon the school, her extensive library, and her home because of World War II. With the assistance of her student Denise Restout, she escaped to Portugal and then sailed to the United States, and eventually settled in Lakeville, Connecticut. She continued to perform and teach in the U.S., and at the age of 70 she recorded the complete Well-Tempered Clavier, which was highly acclaimed. Landowska was 80 years old when she passed away in Lakeville in 1959.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1041503 Composed by Gabrielle Felicita Chen. Contest,Festival,Folk,Holiday,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score. 9 pages. Gabrielle Felicita Chen #646246. Published by Gabrielle Felicita Chen (A0.1041503). “L’amore di Kebo Iwa†simply means ‘the Love of Kebo Iwa’ , which is inspired from Indonesian Balinese folk music. It is usually played by the instruments called Gamelan. Bali is an island in Indonesia rich with cultural traditions that are very much rooted in myths and legends. After understanding deeper of the legend of “Kebo Iwaâ€, I was so drawn to the character and the plot that I decided to tell the story in my piano composition. I was able to use different kinds of musical techniques to express different moods. One of them is to apply the Pentatonic ‘Balinese Pelog’ Scale in B flat Major, which represents the majority of the Gamelan sound that is usually transcribed into Western notations. Below is the synopsis the “L’amore di Kebo Iwaâ€. A Once upon a time, in Bali, there was a husband and a wife who dearly wanted to have a baby. They prayed to God for a very long time. Finally, God heard their prayers and blessed them with a baby boy. But there was something special about this baby boy: he was very big- a giant baby. They named him Kebo Iwa. Kebo Iwa grew up with a good heart and became a gentleman. He was a kind hearted giant; he protected the village dearly. One day, the King of Majapahit from Java wanted to conquer Bali. He had heard about Kebo Iwa and knew that his army would lose to Kebo Iwa. B Therefore, the King of Majapahit tricked Kebo Iwa. He invited Kebo Iwa to Java island, promising that he would arrange a wedding for Kebo Iwa to marry his daughter, the beautiful Majapahit princess. Kebo Iwa was so in love with the princess, so he happily travelled to Java island. C After he arrived in Java, the King of Majapahit asked a favour from Kebo Iwa to dig a well, with the reason for it being the dry season. Kebo Iwa then sincerely gave some help and started digging a big, giant well. D However, the King Majapahit never meant to deliver his promise to Kebo Iwa. Instead, the King Majapahit commanded the troops to cover the well with mud and boulders. But when Kebo Iwa realized, it was too late. He was already in the position that was far too deep below - at the bottom of the well. Kebo Iwa then cried loudly and sadly with a broken heart until his last breath. He was buried alive. Soon after that, the Majapahit troops attacked and conquered Bali. E At last, the well was covered and grew a hill of flowers. To this day, the Bali villagers still remember Kebo Iwa as their hero. To honor him, they erected a giant statue of Kebo Iwa in Gianyar, Bali, as a memorial.

Piano - Moderately Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.15-857-06E Composed by Thomas Keesecker. 9/11 Service, Funeral. 3 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #15-857-06E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.15-857-06E). The final volume in our popular series of reflective piano music books, The Quiet Heart was written at a time when the composer was experiencing health issues, and the resulting focus is on healing and comfort. However, don't expect all the material to be subdued—there are several titles written as dances, inspired by Psalm 30: You have turned my mourning into dancing. As in the previous volumes of hymn-based piano settings, the rather uncomplicated writing belies the musical impact.
