Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818342 Composed by Darlene Zschech. Arranged by Stephen R. Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 18 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6252777. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818342). The Potter’s Hand ♫ by Darlene Zschech ♫ with Spirit of God Descend Upon My Heart (lyrics by George Croly, melody MORECAMBE by Frederick C Atkinson) ♫ piano solo arrangement by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ With the images of the potter, the clay, and the pottery vessel, Isaiah answers the age-old question “What claim does God have on my life?†Nothing we see, hear, taste, smell, or feel would exist without the Creator. Neither you nor I would or could exist without Him. As a painter, sculptor, composer, designer etc. creates a masterwork for his or her own purposes, so we have a purpose beyond ourselves and our existence. ♫ But the images in Isaiah of the potter go beyond the functionality of the created objects, and the purpose and rights of the artisan. Darlene Zschech brings out the beauty and glory of being the masterwork of a true artist. ♫ A song of commitment and consecration, we need songs like this in our repertoire of worship, to urge us to go beyond the words of worship to the giving of our lives in worship. ♫ If our current worship music wasn’t so disposable, we’d be singing this song for many years to come. ♫ slide presentation by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ This .pdf file includes 2 files: 1) Letter size piano score 2) Small page piano score for performing from a 10 inch tablet. (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. You can find programs online that will allow you to split pdf files so that you can choose the correct part of the pdf for your tablet.) ♫ The YouTube video contains the full recording.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1213917 By Roy Clark. By Charles Aznavour and Herbert Kretzmer. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Film/TV,Jazz,Multicultural,Singer/Songwriter,Standards,World. Score. 8 pages. Timothy Stapay #811114. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1213917). Yesterday When I was Young is a song composed by Georges Garvarentz and written by Charles Aznavour and released in September 1964. The original French title translates to Just yesterday or Not so long ago.It is considered one of Aznavour's greatest hits. The English-language lyrics, written by Herbert Kretzmer, tell of someone reflecting on his life, recalling how he had wasted his younger years.Lyrics:[Verse 1]Yesterday when I was youngThe taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongueI teased at life as if it were a foolish gameThe way the evening breeze may tease a candle flameThe thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I plannedI always built, alas, on weak and shifting sandI lived by night and shunned the naked light of dayAnd only now I see how the years ran away[Verse 2]Yesterday, when I was youngSo many drinking songs were waiting to be sungSo many wayward pleasures lay in store for meAnd so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to seeI ran so fast that time and youth at last ran outI never stopped to think what life was all aboutAnd every conversation I can now recallConcerned itself with me, me and nothing else at all[Verse 3]Yesterday the moon was blueAnd every crazy day brought something new to doI used my magic age as if it were a wandAnd never saw the waste and emptiness beyondThe game of love I played with arrogance and prideAnd every flame I lit too quickly, quickly diedThe friends I made all seemed somehow to drift awayAnd only I am left on stage to end the play[Outro]There are so many songs in me that won't be sungI feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongueThe time has come for me to pay for yesterdayWhen I was youngYoung, young...

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987080 Composed by Eric Paul Nolte.…
(+)
Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987080 Composed by Eric Paul Nolte. Contemporary. Score. 12 pages. Eric Paul Nolte #566749. Published by Eric Paul Nolte (A0.987080). This piece is one of an album of my contemporary classical compositions. Yes, I too wince at offering you something saddled with this oxymoron--contemporary classical--but this phrase is now an irresistible, commercially recognized category defying any principled protest from the ranks of wounded musicological curmudgeons like me. The style here employs a tonal palette that celebrates the more or less common practice of composers from J. S. Bach to Ravel, Prokofiev, and the 20th century American songbook. You will see that I reject Arnold Schoenberg's assertion that by 1910 tonality had exhausted itself, and needed to be reinvented according to an aesthetics that dismiss our scales and harmonies as purely arbitrary human conventions with no basis in nature. On the contrary, I believe that we are endowed by our nature to respond emotionally to our traditional materials of music in the same way as nature equips us to respond to the taste of food and drink. We differ in our taste for savory, sweet, and sour, but it is wrong to say that our very capacity to taste is a merely cultural convention. There is biology, and then physics too! By the same standard, it can't be true that one person's taste for arsenic is as valid as another's taste for beer or kumquats. The major triad is a force of nature, like the sun, wind, and rain! I also like big fat juicy 13 chords, and contrapuntal weaving of melody! I believe the purpose of music is to sway us emotionally, and if it can uplift us too, so much the better! While I am not ashamed to write a bare triad, unadorned by chromatic alterations (much less by clusters of chord collisions) I have nevertheless employed much complicated harmony. Moreover, some passages are written in a spiky harmony that might be analyzed as bitonal, as at the meno mosso section, beginning at measure 112, where the mood I wanted to set inspired me to write the theme in C minor while the left hand climbs up from the bottom of the keyboard in a widely spaced, D-flat 13 arpeggio. I have composed these pieces with the skills of intermediate to early-advanced pianists in mind. This piece demands the ability to play some counterpoint between two voices in one hand. There is a section that requires one to play moderately fast octaves, but nothing as difficult as the G minor Prelude of Chopin (to say nothing of his harrowing octave Etude from Opus 25!) While there are many polyrhythmic passages, none is more complicated than two-against-three notes. All said, there is nothing here to make your hands (or, I dare say, your ears) bleed. The performing time is around nine minutes and a breath or three. I have a number of videos posted on YouTube.com, I have a website under construction, ericpaulnolte.com, and, since 2011, an occasional blog of my ravings on life, love, and the cosmos, at ericpaulnolte.blogspot.com. You may write me at nolte0125@gmail.com.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1373611 Composed by Adoniram J. Gordon, Frederick H. Lehman, Traditional, and William B. Bradbury. Arranged by Amanda Tero. Christian,Holiday,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 29 pages. Amanda Tero #957915. Published by Amanda Tero (A0.1373611). Do you need Valentine's Hymns for church services in February? These 5 hymns cover God's love to us, Jesus's love to us, and our love to Him.Written in the key of C, these 5 early intermediate piano solos have simple patterns that are easy for the intermediate pianist to sightread. These early intermediate hymn solos are equivalent to most Level 2 and 3 curricula.Ideal for church services (especially in February), Valentine’s banquets, conferences, recitals, and more!Arranged to be simple yet tasteful in style. Here is all the information you’ll need to decide if this collection of early intermediate sheet music is the level you’re looking for:·     All in the Key of C (What Wondrous Love is This? is in A Dorian—no accidentals in key signature)·     No key changes·     Basic format: intro, verse/chorus, interlude, verse/chorus, ending·     2 verses each·     Single-note melody in the right hand (brief LH melody in The Love of God)·     Mostly broken 5ths and triads in the left hand·     Repetitive patterns for easy learning·     Similar chords between verses·     Note reading up to 2 ledger lines·     Rhythm not faster than eighth notes·     Just 1 page turn each (exception: Oh, How I Love Jesus has 2) Jesus Loves Me is an old favorite, often seen as a “children’s song.†However, the words to this hymn of love are just as important for adults as for children. While a simple arrangement, this is not a childish sounding arrangement.·     Features an “echo†melody written 8va·     Left hand in treble clef for portions·     Ends with hand crossing My Jesus, I Love Thee begins unexpectedly with colorful chords that finally release tension into a calm first verse. There are slight jazz textures in this arrangement but also classical elements with scales and Alberti bass.·     Rich chord textures (just a hint of jazz/dissonance)·     Accidentals·     Right hand scales (ascending & descending) Oh, How I Love Jesus is a cheerful arrangement with just a hint of cinematic-style melodies. The chords are very similar between verse 1 and 2 in this arrangement, making it especially easy for the pianist to learn.·     6/8 meter·     Cinematic elements·     Chords repeat: open 5ths and 6ths or filled in triads/chords The Love of God starts with left hand melody, making this different from all the other arrangements. The goal is for this to be a seamless melody transition between the hands while the non-melody hand supports at a slightly lower volume.·     Left hand melody for part·     Right hand chords for part·     Left hand repeats in different octaves for broader sound What Wondrous Love is This? is a haunting conclusion to the collection. It is predominantly arranged with open 5ths in the left hand and repeating patterns in the right hand. It ends with slow, four-note chords that are very hymn-like.·     A Dorian mode·     Very easy left hand (repeating open 5ths)·     Sounds harder than it really is.

Isadar’s In Search For the Meaning of Christmas definitely falls into this category! Thoughtful, introspective, and a bit moody, Isadar’s arrangements are true to the carols (with some small melody changes in “Bring a Torch” and “Carol of the Bells” that bother me just a little) and still seem very personal. “Bring a Torch”, “The Holly and the Ivy”, and “I Saw Three Ships” are given a lighthearted, joyful treatment. “Star of Wonder (We Three Kings)”, “What Child Is This?”, “The Coventry Carol”, and “Sing We Now of Christmas” are all minor, somber, reverent pieces, and all four are given loving arrangements that keep the dark, mysterious nature of the songs and reflect Isadar’s own sensibilities. “Carol of the Bells” and Isadar's take on Liz Story’s arrangement of “Greensleeves” are energetic without losing all abandon. “Silent Night” and “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear” present us with a very cold, deep solitude - both feel like late night with moonlight reflecting off the snow. Both are moody, but very beautifully so. George Winston’s “December” is one of my all-time favorite holiday albums, and I feel In Search For the Meaning of Christmas holds up exceptionally well next to it. This is an excellent collection of Christmas music, and I highly recommend it!<br> <br> In Search For the Meaning of Christmas is the companion songbook to Isadar’s 1999 solo piano release by the same name. Meticulously transcribed note-for-note by David Shenton of New York Music Publishing, the music is faithful to the recording in every way (except for the pianist - YOU!). The scores are clear, concise, and easy to read, and also include chord indications for improvisation or the use of instruments other than or in addition to the piano. Isadar’s arrangements cover a whole range of emotions, from very dark and somber to joyful and buoyant. All of the pieces from the CD are here, including Isadar’s homage to Liz Story and her beautiful version of “Greensleeves.” My personal favorites of the eleven songs in this book are the bright and cheerful “Bring A Torch,” “What Child Is This?”, “Greensleeves,” the darkly gorgeous “The Coventry Carol,” and “Sing We Now of Christmas.” Other titles that I really like are “Children Go Where I Send Thee/The Holly and the Ivy,” “Star of Wonder (We Three Kings)," “Carol of the Bells,” and the effervescent “Three Ships.” “Silent” (Silent Night) and “Midnight” (It Came Upon a Midnight Clear) are a bit too dark for my own holiday tastes, but are interesting and very personal arrangements. This book will make a great addition to your holiday sheet music collection and is available from isadar.com and amazon.com.<br> <br> Isadar is an artist on both Enlightened Piano Radio & Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, the latter featuring some of today's biggest names in solo piano music, including Ludovico Einaudi, David Nevue, Brian Crain, Kevin Kern, Robin Spielberg, Michele McLaughlin, Philip Wesley and over 300 more...<br> <br> Also available as sheet music in physical songbooks, digital downloads, as well as software for Yamaha Disklavier player-pianos.<br> <br> For more information, visit his website at: http://www.isadar.comSounds like: Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Vince Guaraldi, Liz Story's "The Gift", George Winston's "December", early Windham Hill solo piano artists, and "A Winter's Solstice" compilations.<br> <br> <br> Transcribed by: David Shenton ( https://www.shentonmusic.com/ ) verbatim to the sound recording<br> <br> Contents:<br> 1. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1131936 Composed by Traditional Greek Carol. Arranged by HOVIG NASSANIAN. Christmas,Jazz,Multicultural,Sacred,Traditional,World. Score. 2 pages. Hovig Nassanian #732171. Published by Hovig Nassanian (A0.1131936). This is one of the authentic traditional Greek carols which is sung by carollers in Cyprus during the Christmas season. In this arrangement, I wanted to give a taste of our island through this carol, but as you can see, I took plenty of liberties in adding some ‘twists’ and colour to it. You can listen to the arrangement on my Christmas piano album on Spotify and all other streaming platforms by searching for 'Kypriaka Kalanta' 'Hovig Nassanian'.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1466523 Composed by Hal Sharper and Jerry Goldsmith. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 4 pages. Timothy Stapay #1045091. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1466523). Free As The Wind was composed by Jerry Goldsmith, a very prolific composer of film scores. This is the main theme from the movie Papillon starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. This arrangement is written for intermediate piano.Yesterday's world is a dream like a river that runs through my mind Made of fields and the white pebbled stream that I knew as a child Butterfly wings in the sun taught me all that I needed to see For they sang sang to my heart oh look at me look at me Free as the wind free as the wind that is the way you should be. Love was the dream of my life And I gave it the best I knew how So it always brings tears to my eyes when I think of it now Gone like the butterfly days And the boy that I once used to be But my heart still hears a voice Telling me look , look and you will see There's no regret that I feel For the bitter sweet taste of it all If you love there's a chance you may fly If you fall, well you fall Rather the butterfly life To have lived for a day and been free For my heart still hears a voice Telling me look and you will see.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1411457 Composed by Keaton Springfield. Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 31 pages. Songburd Music #993724. Published by Songburd Music (A0.1411457). The Two-Part Inventions by Keaton Springfield take their inspiration from the Two-Part Inventions of J.S. Bach.  As students of music become familiar with the inventions of J.S. Bach in the course of their studies, it is unsurprising that they should come to admire and champion these works in music studios and performances. For composers, these works present an opportunity to learn from, model and at times emulate musical styles of the Baroque.  While these two-part inventions are Baroque in nature, musical elements are present that exceed their historical bounds such as the modulations found in No. 5 and No. 6.Performance considerations have been made for the sake of practical instruction, while still retaining a Baroque aesthetic.  For example, typical pieces of the Baroque era are without tempi or dynamic indications.  In keeping with this, the tempi provided in parenthesis should be viewed only as recommended approximations and not as fixed directives.  Liberty is also afforded to the performer and music teacher regarding dynamics, which are entirely absent in the score. Performers are encouraged to seek out their own inspiration on the matter of dynamics and tempi through experimentation and a judicious ear.  The provided ornamentation may be augmented or even done away with entirely depending on the needs and tastes of the performer. While the range of style and difficulty in this collection varies widely, it is suitable for use in music education, worship service, and public performance.  For piano instructors, the following order is recommended to fit a general progressive study: 8, 2, 4, 3, 1, 10, 9, 6, 5, 7, which may be adjusted to accommodate the skills and temperament of individual students.
