Double Bass - Intermediate - Digital Download By Billie Eilish. Arranged by Graham Boag. Score, Set of Parts. 12 pages. Published by Graham Boag
Item Number: H0.859229-SC004282702<br> <br> No Time to Die is a the twenty-fifth instalment in the James Bond film series produced by Eon Productions. It features Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Léa Seydoux, and Christoph Waltz reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and Ana de Armas joining the cast.<br> <br> <br> <br> The theme song is sung by the American singer Billie Eilish. In January 2019, Eilish told her management that she wanted to be involved "if any Bond things come up whatever we have to do we will do". When the opportunity did arise, the pair jumped into action to book a recording studio, but it left them "intensely uninspired" and suffering from writer's block. Following this lacklustre day in the studio and they ended up writing and recording the song in a tour bus in Texas, after Finneas came up with an initial chord progression; in just three days the song was written and recorded. Prior to this, the siblings had a meeting with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, who sent them the script for the opening scene in order to give them a bit of inspiration, which Eilish said was "so cool" and "really, really helpful."<br> <br> Finneas claimed it was useful to go back to listen to previous Bond themes to ensure they were on the right track and did not copy or recreate something which had already been done before, adding that "there are few things in your career that are as desirable as doing a Bond song. We did not take the opportunity lightly and worked as hard as we could to prove ourselves". Eilish also revealed that Daniel Craig himself had a major role in vetting the submissions.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,English Horn - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1258422 Composed by Guillaume de Machaut, 1300-1377. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Contest,Early Music,Festival,Historic,Medieval. 84 pages. Jmsgu3 #851675. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1258422). INSTRUMENTATION: 2 ENGLISH HORNS and 2 BASSOONS1. Kyrie2. Gloria3. Credo4. Sanctus5. Agnus dei6. Ite missa estGuillaume de Machaut composed the Messe de Nostre Dame, also known as the Mass of Our Lady, in the early 1360s. He wrote the mass for the Cathedral at Reims, where he served as a canon, a permanent clergy member. According to a rubric found at the Cathedral, it would have likely been performed for the Saturday Lady Mass. Guillaume de Machaut's Messe de Nostre Dame is significant in the history of music for several reasons:1. It is the first complete setting of the Ordinary of the Mass by a single composer that has survived.2. It is a unified mass, meaning that the composer selected relevant chants for each section as the borrowed tenor.3. It was composed in four voices, which was unusual at the time.4. The texts of both Gloria and Credo are quite lengthy, and therefore Machaut set these movements in a style reminiscent of the earlier discant style, having short phrases, similar rhythmic motion in all parts, and a low ratio of notes per syllable of text, both ending with long, rhapsodic sections for the final word, Amen.Machaut's Messe de Nostre Dame is a landmark in musical history, but it is far from being avant-garde merely for the sake of uniqueness. It is considered to be a culmination of the musical style of the Ars Nova period, which was characterized by complex polyphonic textures and rhythmic innovations. The mass is also significant because it was composed during a time of great political and social upheaval in Europe, and it reflects the changing attitudes towards religion and music during this period. Overall, Machaut's Messe de Nostre Dame is a significant work that represents a culmination of the musical style of the Ars Nova period and reflects the changing attitudes towards religion and music during the 14th century. The mass consists of five movements: Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei, followed by the dismissal Ite, missa est. The tenor of the Kyrie is based on Vatican Kyrie IV, the Sanctus, and Agnus correspond to Vatican Mass XVII, and the Ite is on Sanctus VIII. The Gloria and Credo have no apparent chant basis, although they are stylistically related to one another. The mass is a unified mass, meaning that the composer selected relevant chants for each section as the borrowed tenor. The Messe de Nostre Dame is significant in the history of music because it is the first complete setting of the Ordinary of the Mass by a single composer that has survived. It is also significant because it was composed during a time of great political and social upheaval in Europe, and it reflects the changing attitudes towards religion and music during this period. Overall, the Messe de Nostre Dame was an important part of the liturgical practices of the time, and it is still regarded as a masterpiece of medieval music and of all religious music.

Solage: Le basile for Double Reed Quartet
Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Double Reed Quartet,English Horn - Level 2 - Digital Download

Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Double Reed Quartet,English Horn - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1266448 Composed by Solage. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Contest,Early Music,Festival,Historic,Holiday. 8 pages. Jmsgu3 #859185. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1266448). Solage's ballade Le basile de sa propre nature is a significant work in the history of medieval music. Here are some of its historical significances:1. It is one of the twelve surviving works attributed to Solage, a French composer who lived in the late 14th century. Solage's works are known for their complex rhythms, intricate harmonies, and expressive melodies.2. Le basile de sa propre nature is a four-voice ballade that features a text about the mythical creature known as the basilisk. The lyrics describe the basilisk as a monster that kills everything it sees with its deadly venom. The music is characterized by its intricate rhythms and harmonies, which reflect the text's vivid imagery.3. The ballade is preserved in the Chantilly Codex, a manuscript that contains a collection of French secular music from the late 14th century. The Chantilly Codex is one of the most important sources of medieval music, and it provides valuable insights into the musical practices of the time.4. Le basile de sa propre nature is an example of the Ars subtilior style, which was a highly experimental and complex musical style that emerged in the late 14th century. This style was characterized by its use of intricate rhythms, complex harmonies, and unusual notational practices. The Ars subtilior style was highly influential in the development of later musical styles, and it remains an important part of the medieval musical canon.Overall, Solage's ballade Le basile de sa propre nature is a significant work that reflects the complex and experimental musical practices of the late 14th century. Its vivid imagery, intricate rhythms, and complex harmonies make it a valuable contribution to the medieval musical canon.Lyrics:All those he sees he kills suddenly,For his venom is deadly. He is a basilisk by his own nature,And he has no other way of being. He is a monster of great power,And he is feared by all who know him.He is a creature of the earth,And he is a master of death. He is a basilisk by his own nature,And he has no other way of being. All those he sees he kills suddenly,For his venom is deadly. He is a creature of the night,And he is a master of the dark.He is a monster of great might,And he is feared by all who hear his name. He is a basilisk by his own nature,And he has no other way of being. All those he sees he kills suddenly,For his venom is deadly.Solage was a French composer and probably also a poet who lived in the late 14th century. He composed the most pieces in the Chantilly Codex, which is the principal source of music of the ars subtilior, a manneristic compositional school centered on Avignon at the end of the century. Solage is an obscure composer, and aside from what can be deduced from the pieces attributed to him in the Chantilly Codex, nothing else is known about him. There are several interpretations of his name, and it is not clear whether his first name was Jean or Charles.  The ars subtilior was a manneristic compositional school centered on Avignon at the end of the 14th century. It was characterized by complex rhythms and pitch, and it was a transitional period between the late medieval and Renaissance periods. Solage was one of the composers who fit into this school, and he composed the most pieces in the Chantilly Codex, which is the principal source of music of the ars subtilior. Stylistically, Solage's works exhibit two distinctly different characters: a relatively simple one usually associated with his great predecessor and elder contemporary Guillaume de Machaut, and a more recherché one, complex in the areas of both pitch and rhythm, characteristic of the ars subtilior.Â

String Quartet Cello,Double Bass,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.747013 By The Andrews Sisters. By Aloysio Oliveira, Ervin Drake, and Zequinha Abreu. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Classical,Latin,Multicultural,World. 14 pages. Keith Terrett #5869549. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.747013). Arranged for String Orchestra Tico-Tico no fubá (sparrow in the cornmeal, or, literally, rufous-collared sparrow in the cornmeal) is a Brazilian choro song written by Zequinha de Abreu in 1917. A great arrangement for your next performance, sure to be a big hit with your audience! Its original title was Tico-Tico no farelo (sparrow in the bran), but since Brazilian guitarist Américo Jacomino Canhoto (1889â1928) had a work with the same title, Abreu's work was given its present name in 1931, and sometime afterward Aloysio de Oliveira wrote the original Portuguese lyrics.Eros Volusia and her dancers dance to Tico-Tico in 1942 Rio Rita. Ethel Smith performed Tico-Tico onscreen in Bathing Beauty (1944). Carmen Miranda performed Tico-Tico onscreen in Copacabana (1947); It was also featured in the Aquarela do Brasil segment of the Walt Disney film Saludos Amigos (1942) and in Woody Allen's Radio Days (1987).In Quebec the song has been used for several decades in commercials for Sico paint. In season three of Mama's Family episode An Ill Wind, an intoxicated Iola briefly sings the song's chorus before passing out onto a bed. This song can be heard on various episodes of the Belgian Kabouter Wesley cartoon. In season one of Narcos: Mexico, episode 3 (El Padrino), the orchestral version of the song is played by a band during a reception. A biographical movie about Zequinha de Abreu with the same title, Tico-Tico no Fubá was produced in 1952 by the Brazilian film studio Companhia Cinematográfica Vera Cruz, starring Anselmo Duarte as Abreu. The title phrase also features in the lyrics to the song O Pato made famous by João Gilberto.Choro (Portuguese pronunciation: [ËÊoɾu], cry or lament), also popularly called chorinho (little cry or little lament), is an instrumental Brazilian popular music genre which originated in 19th century Rio de Janeiro. Despite its name, the music often has a fast and happy rhythm. It is characterized by virtuosity, improvisation and subtle modulations, and is full of syncopation and counterpoint. Choro is considered the first characteristically Brazilian genre of urban popular music. The serenaders who play choros are known as chorões.

Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit - For String Orquestra

Large Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889436 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Easter,Standards. Score and parts. 11 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4737807. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889436). The cantata âGottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, BWV 106- âGod`s Time Is The Very Best Time, ranks among Bach's most important works. It is a work of genius such as even great masters seldom achieve. The Actus tragicus belongs to the great musical literature of the world. Although Bach's manuscript is lost, the work is agreed to be one of the earliest Bach cantatas, probably composed during the year he spent in Mühlhausen 1707/1708 as organist of theDivi Blasil church, at the age of 22. Various funerals known to have taken place at this time have been proposed as the occasion for the composition, for example that of his uncle Tobias Lämmerhirt from his mother's family, who died inErfurt on 10 August 1707, and that of Adolph Strecker, a former mayor of Mühlhausen, whose funeral was 16 September 1708. The earliest surviving manuscript, in the hand of Christian Friedrich Penzel, was copied in 1768 after Bach's death. It introduced the title Actus tragicus. The cantata was published in 1876 as part of the first complete edition of Bach's works: the Bach-Gesellschaft-Ausgabe, edited by Wilhelm Rust. The text consists of different Bible passages from the Old and New Testament, as well as individual verses of hymns by Martin Lither and Adam Reusner, which all together refer to finiteness, preparation for death and dying. The Arrangement is relatively easy to perform, also appropriate for beginners. It is an ideal piece for advanced performers, this music touches deep into the Soul. The piece was arranged for modern instruments, I introduced some embellishments and interpretation symbols thus shortening the length of some notes, but no notes where otherwise changed or omitted in this arrangement. Also the original placement of the voices is totally respected, the structure of the piece was simply left as it was composed in its original form. Bach scored the instrumental parts for a small ensemble of Baroque instruments two recorders, two violas da gamba and continuo. I propose an interpretation for a modern string orquestra or a string quintet in this arrangement. You should feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills, Your taste and Soul. If the orquestra only has one double bass I would recommend you to reenforce the bass with a cello. It can be very well performed by a âstring quintet- a string quartet with a double bass. Have fun! It is a piece that can be used in many different kinds of situations, in a serious concert hall, or a funeral, in Easter or even Christmas celebrations and all other kinds of Spiritual events. When performed Live It will give you back a great feedback from the public, you will always want to have it in your repertoire. The score was written on Finale. The sound file was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of this score. Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file. I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy the music. Sheers! Luis Anjos Teixeira Thanks to Claudia Eppelt for the all the Love, the wonderful painting and cover design. Prelude and Fugue in C major for String Orchestra - Arrangement of Beethoven Hess 31

String Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.933524 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, Cees Nieuwenhuizen. Arranged by Upstream Music. Classical. Score and parts. 24 pages. Upstream Music #6353319. Published by Upstream Music (A0.933524). The Prelude and Fugue in C major were created during the period of study with Johann Georg Albrechtsberger, who lived from February 3, 1736 to March 7, 1809. Albrechtsberger was an Austrian theoretician and pedagogue of music, an organist, as well as a composer. He entered upon his career early as a choirboy in the choir of the monastery of Melk, Austria. There he was discovered by the crown prince, the later emperor Joseph II. The latter facilitated an appointment as the court organist.Later Albrechtsberger became conductor of the chapel choir of the famous Stephansdom in Vienna. Albrechtsberger was a highly praised pedagogue; Beethoven, too, was among his pupils. It was this composer that studied with Albrechtsberger from January 1794 to March/May 1795. Together with Beethoven, Albrechtsberger researched all forms of the counterpoint, which is most manifest in the large number of exercises passed down; over 300 studies, fugues etc. have been preserved with corrections and alterations by Albrechtsberger. During this period of study, greater works were also composed, such as the Dona Nobis Pacem (Hess A57), the Prelude and Fugue in E minor (Hess 29), the Prelude and Fugue in F major (Hess 30) and the present one in C major (Hess 31). The piece was probably composed in 1794-95; this opus also shows numerous improvements and alterations by his master, although some alterations are by Beethoven himself. The manuscript of the work is to be found in Vienna, and did not appear in print until 1967 for the first time. The present version sticks closely to Beethovenâs, but has been provided with a double bass part so as to adapt the work for being performed with a larger strength than for which it was originally written. The strength originally intended by Beethoven was two violins, a viola and a cello, so as a string quartet. With the supplementary bass part, the piece can also be played by a string orchestra, which will no doubt promote its dissemination and familiarity. In a sense, the work is already a preliminary study for the string quartets Opus 18 produced later.Especially the rhythm, melodic forms, and the counterpoint applied, frequently return in these string quartets. Beethoven has hardly indicated any rests in the empty bars; Cees has as yet added them. The phrasing, dynamics and time indications have also been added. Beethoven merely writes down the notes, while we have to accept the fact that various notes have been changed by Albrechtsberger but Beethovenâs notes might have been just as interesting. Of some notes it was not clear what Beethoven exactly meant; in such a case, Cees has adhered to the harmonious form, adapting the notes which, logically speaking, fit in with the harmonic unity.

This adds a great deal of energy and unexpected adventure to your performance. Each song could be repeated depending upon the length of time required. This is a very versatile collection. Suitable for Christmas parties or receptions, church services, and receptions, nightclubs, and school presentations. Also, they are very easy to perform or even sight-read.MusicEach song in the Double Reed Choir Christmas Book is adventurously reharmonized, but the melody always remains perfectly intact. This makes it easy for anyone to sing along. Moreover, the songs end properly in the correct key so as to add an element of familiarity and closure. Small Ensemble Bassoon,Cello,Double Bass - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.887013 Composed by Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky. Arranged by James Brady. 20th Century,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 7 pages. James Brady Music #5709911. Published by James Brady Music (A0.887013). This arrangement of the opening of Mussorgsky's best-known work is ideally suited as an opening or closing statement piece for a group of 4 early-intermediate cellos (or basses, with one with a C extension) or other bass clef instruments. It stays true to the original piece with adaptations in range for developing players and an adapted ending better suited for standalone performance. The estimated duration of the performance is 1m 30s.Pictures at an Exhibition is a suite of pieces for piano based on pictures by Mussorgsky's friend Viktor Hartmann, who died suddenly in 1873, aged 39. A memorial exhibition of Hartmann's works was staged in St. Petersburg the following year, and Mussorgsky's suite depicts walk around it, viewing 10 pictures in total. In addition to the pieces inspired by individual pictures, the suite contains several variations of the 'Promenade' theme, which depicts Mussorgsky roving through the exhibition, now leisurely, now briskly in order to come close to a picture that had attracted his attention, and at times sadly, thinking of his departed friend. (Vladimir Stasov).Ranges have been reduced to accommodate young or developing players. The 1st part goes no higher than F4, and the bass part no lower than C2. The melody is mainly in the 1st part, with passages in the 2nd and 3rd parts from time to time, but as the texture of Mussorgksy's composition is almost exclusively homophonic, all parts have equal importance. I have inserted additional dynamics and accents to aid phrasing, and adapted the ending to suit a standalone performance. For more arrangements for developing ensembles, see:https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/james-brady-music-sheet-music/3006312

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Bassoon,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552172 Composed by Franz Joseph Haydn. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Classical,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. 27 pages. Jmsgu3 #6254817. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552172). Divertimento No. 74 originally scored for Baryton Trio.In three movements:1. Adagio2. Allegro3. Minuet: AllegrettoDuration: ca. 14:10, Score: 15 pages.Franz Josef Haydn was an Austrian composer who is best known for his work in the field of chamber music. He composed in a variety of musical forms, including divertimenti, trios and string quartets. He was a prolific composer who wrote over 100 pieces of chamber music and is believed to have been a major influence on the music of his students and contemporaries, including Mozart and Beethoven. Haydn's music is known for its balance and clarity in structure. His chamber works were known for their accessibility and elegance, with melodies that were often lighthearted and charming. His symphonies were well-crafted and often featured balanced melodic elements. Haydn composed many well-known divertimenti and trios, but his string quartets are what he is most celebrated for. He wrote some sixty to eighty string quartets, and these works were historically significant for expanding the limits of the genre and for their influence on the composers and musicians who followed him.

Mozart: Requiem in D minor K626 III.Sequenz No.2 Tuba Mirum - symphonic wind

Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111159 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical,Religious,Sacred. 16 pages. RayThompsonMusic #713434. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1111159). Arranged standard wind decet/dectet/bass Mozart's textual inspiration is apparent in the Tuba mirum (Hark, the trumpet) movement, which is introduced with a sequence of three notes in arpeggio, played in Bâ major by a solo tenor trombone, unaccompanied, in accordance with the usual German translation of the Latin tuba, Posaune (trombone). Two measures later, the bass soloist enters, imitating the same theme. At m. 7, there is a fermata, the only point in all the work at which a solo cadence occurs. The final quarter notes of the bass soloist herald the arrival of the tenor, followed by the alto and soprano in dramatic fashion. On the text Cum vix justus sit securus (When only barely may the just one be secure), there is a switch to a homophonic segment sung by the quartet at the same time, articulating, without accompaniment, the cum and vix on the strong (1st and 3rd), then on the weak (2nd and 4th) beats, with the violins and continuo responding each time; this interruption (which one may interpret as the interruption preceding the Last Judgment) is heard sotto voce, forte and then piano to bring the movement finally into a crescendo into a perfect cadence. My arrangement gives the trombone part to the first horn, and the vocal entries are given to the 4 wind instruments (All Player 1) I have added some additional sustaining notes on the horns, under the syncorpated section. Section III of the requiem is titled âSequenzâ (sequentia or sequence). It is made up of the following pieces I have arrangements of all of them, for varying types of ensemble * Dies irae * Tuba mirum * Rex tremendae * Recordare * Confutatis * Lacrymosa I have also arranged Mozarts Motet âAve Verum Corpusâ K618.

Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797712 By Eydie Gorme. By Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary. Score and parts. 21 pages. Derek Hasted #3688807. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797712). BLAME IT ON THE BOSSA NOVA - FIVE GUITARS/LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This arrangement suits a guitar quintet, or alternatively a guitar quartet and a bass instrument - for example electric or acoustic bass or double bass. The fifth part is supplied in both treble and bass clefs - two versions of the same line. This arrangement has been a firm favorite in the adult ensemble that I run, and audiences love the infectious rhythm. Just like the original, the second verse is a semitone higher, but as the full score suggests, if you play verse one with no open strings, then verse two is simply one fret higher - a magical key-change that delights audiences and is no work at all!I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.
