Full Orchestra - Level 3 - SKU: A0.546779 By K.C. And The Sunshine Band. By Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch. Arranged by Kevin Riley. 20th Century,Pop. Score and parts. 35 pages. Kevin Riley #156712. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.546779). That's the Way (I Like It) is a song by the American group KC and the Sunshine Band from their self-titled second studio album. The single became the band's second No. 1 hit in the Billboard Hot 100, and it is one of the few chart-toppers in history to hit No. 1 on more than one occasion during a one-month period, as it did between November and December 1975. It topped the American pop chart for one week, and then was replaced by another disco song, Fly, Robin, Fly by Silver Convention. That's the Way (I Like It) returned to No. 1 for one more week after Fly, Robin, Fly completed three weeks at the top. That's the Way (I Like It) also spent one week at No. 1 in the soul singles chart. The song is in natural minor. The song was also an international chart hit, reaching No. 1 in Canada[4] and the Netherlands and charting in Australia (No. 5), Belgium (No. 2), Germany (No. 20), Ireland (No. 17), New Zealand (No. 12), Norway (No. 5) and the United Kingdom (No. 4). For release as a single and radio airplay, the song was toned down from the original recording, which would have jeopardized it receiving getting radio airplay at the time. However the sexual overtones may have improved the record's reception at discos, increasing its overall popularity in the charts.

Piano Solo - Level 1 - SKU: A0.809406 By Simon And Garfunkel. By Paul Simon. Arranged by Academia Unimusica. Pop,Rock. Score. 1 pages. Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) #6251769. Published by Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) (A0.809406). The Sound of Silence, originally The Sounds of Silence, is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The song was written by Paul Simon over several months in 1963 and 1964. A studio audition led to the duo signing a record deal with Columbia Records, and the original 'acoustic' version of the song was recorded in March 1964 at Columbia Studios in New York City and included on their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.. Released on October 19, 1964,[2] the album was a commercial failure and led to the duo disbanding; Simon returned to England, and Art Garfunkel to his studies at Columbia University. In 1965, the song began to attract airplay at radio stations in Boston, Massachusetts, and throughout Florida. The growing airplay led Tom Wilson, the song's producer, to remix the track, overdubbing electric instruments and drums. This remixed version was released as a single in September 1965. Simon & Garfunkel were not informed of the song's remix until after its release. The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending January 1, 1966, leading the duo to reunite and hastily record their second album, which Columbia titled Sounds of Silence in an attempt to capitalize on the song's success. The remixed single version of the song was included on this follow-up album. It was featured in the 1967 film The Graduate and was included on the film's soundtrack album. It was additionally released on the Mrs. Robinson 'EP' in 1968, along with three other songs from the film: Mrs. Robinson, April Come She Will and Scarborough Fair/Canticle. The song was a top-ten hit in multiple countries worldwide, among them Australia, Austria, West Germany, Japan and the Netherlands. Generally considered a classic folk rock song, the song was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress for being culturally, historically, or aesthetically important in 2012, along with the rest of the Sounds of Silence album. Originally titled The Sounds of Silence on the album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., the song was shortened for later compilations, beginning with the 1972 compilation album Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits.[3]

End Of The LineAlbum & Songbook review by:  Kathy Parsons (MainlyPiano.com):Isadar’s fourth solo piano album is a blend of smooth jazz and new age stylings, showing both his impressive technique and sensitivity to melody. Several of the eight selections are free-form and improvisational, revealing some of Liz Story’s influence on his music. Some of Isadar’s earlier recordings have very dark, moody sections, but this one stays fairly upbeat and optimistic without being ear candy. The music is complex enough to sink your teeth into, and yet is accessible enough to enjoy as a backdrop to a quiet dinner or an evening with a good book. Joyful Running begins the journey with an exuberant and uplifting piece that reminds me a little of some of Spencer Brewer’s bouncier compositions. Fountain of Life is a beautiful piece with a water-like flow that never stops in its 10 1/2 minutes. I listened to this CD several times without realizing that this song was that long. It flows and meanders so effortlessly that it seemed no longer than the other seven selections, most of which are between four and five minutes in length. Unstructured and free, this is one of my favorite tracks. I also really like the title track, which is even more abstract and unstructured. The tone is of searching and moving forward. End of the Line is my favorite on this album. Very introspective and contemplative, this seems to be a very personal piece. It is the most somber track, but one still senses hope despite the ending of something dear and important. Or maybe it’s simply the end of the journey and the dread of returning to real life - I feel this way on the last day of my vacations! It is a wonderful and moving closing to an excellent album. The companion songbook is expertly transcribed and engraved by David Shenton of New York Music Publishing. The layout of the music is clear and uncluttered, and the notation includes pedal markings and dynamics that allow the pianist to express the music as closely as possible to how Isadar played it on the recording.  A few of the pieces are quite long and require a more advanced pianist who is able to express the nuances that keep the recording so interesting, but several of the pieces are well within the capabilities of upper intermediate players.  Some of the rhythms are a little bit tricky, but the majority of the left hand parts are running eighth notes, which make it easier.  None of the key signatures are difficult, and none of the chords have a reach of more than an octave, making this music very playable for smaller hands.  My favorite pieces to play in this book are Joyful Running, Voice of God (Thanksgiving), Smoke Signals, and End of the Line.Isadar is an artist on both Enlightened Piano Radio & Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, the latter featuring some of today's biggest names in solo piano music, including Ludovico Einaudi, David Nevue, Brian Crain, Kevin Kern, Robin Spielberg, Michele McLaughlin, Philip Wesley and over 300 more... Full Orchestra - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1400367 Composed by Jerry Goldsmith. Arranged by Chris Siddall. Film/TV. 9 pages. Chris Siddall Music Publishing #983553. Published by Chris Siddall Music Publishing (A0.1400367). Director Phillip Noyce, who had helmed the previous two entries in the Jack Ryan franchise (with scores by James Horner), was replaced at the last minute on 2002’s The Sum of All Fears by Phil Alden Robinson. Despite his prior collaborations with Robinson, Horner stepped aside and thus the scoring assignment went to Jerry Goldsmith.  In the years following his magnificent stretch of production in 1998 and 1999,  Goldsmith’s output had slowed to a crawl and The Sum of All Fears proved to be a welcome return to form. Featuring a song which was later revealed to be an extension of his tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks, Goldsmith created an outstanding score with moments of solemn beauty contrasted with robust action music.Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - SKU: A0.522222 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Folk,Holiday. Score. 21 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #3913261. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522222). These folk song arrangements are written in the Welsh language. The vocal range is from Middle C to F on the top line of the staff. They are suitable for mezzo soprano and could also be sung by tenor voice an octave lower. They are among some of the most popular folk songs of Wales and sure to be well received at a vocal recital. They would also make excellent encore pieces. For copyright reasons, English translations are not provided, although some are to be found on various web pages. 1. Y Ddau Farch (The Two Mares) The song tells the story of two horses. The older one tells the younger, “In my day I was as good a horse as youâ€. But when I became too old to work, I was sent away to the mountains. She vows never to return to her cruel owners. This is an example of a macaronic song in which the lyrics use more than one language. 2. Si Hei Lwli, ’Mabi (Sleep, my Lovely Baby) In this pentatonic lullaby, a mother tells her child that their ship is moving away, the captain is on board, the eastern wind is blowing and the seagull is on its nest. 3. Canu Cwnsela (Wassail Song) The singers ask permission to come in and sing for their dinner. But they seem to have chosen the wrong house because the reply is: “I have no dinner or money to spend, to give you a welcome tonight.†The melody is in the Dorian Mode. 4. Robin Ddiog (Lazy Robin) The song, also in the Aeolian mode is about a robin whose little house is always tidy. “Open the door a little bit, so that I can see the sea and the waves†he asks. When the door is opened, the breeze sweeps away all the leaves from the floor. 5. Migildi Magildi “When the smithy’s door is open, we can see the blacksmith working.†The song describes the sights and sounds of the blacksmith’s workshop. You can hear all the songs in the audio demo, though they are played by an oboe rather than sung.

Published by Frank Starobin (A0.874045). Maurice Ravel wrote his string quartet in 1903 and it is now considered to be a standard in the repertoire. Its second movement features a fun little scherzo followed by a slow, lyrical, wayward song. The scherzo returns completing the form. In this arrangement, I’ve used changing orchestration reminiscent of Ravel’s scoring (and also a little bit of his contemporary, Debussy). Duration – 6:15https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7P23iXuz-o

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.990685 Composed by Stephanie K. Andrews. Contemporary. Octavo. 29 pages. Stephanie K Andrews #6432151. Published by Stephanie K Andrews (A0.990685). Crystal Veil Suite was composed in 2018 for REVEL, an Austin, Texas based classical music group led by Dr. Carla McElhaney, and for Chorus Austin, also of Austin, Texas, Ryan Heller, Artistic Director. The premiere of the piece took place on December 1, 2018, at the Existential Solstice concert, part of REVEL's Radio Project concert series. The Existential Solstice concert, a collaboration between REVEL and Chorus Austin, featured music and poetry meant to elicit vivid imagery of winter scenes. As a lifelong Texan, this required a stretching of my creativity, as you well might imagine. The A section of the first movement, The Snow, was written in Phyrigian mode to evoke the melancholy mood that may accompany a long winter, with descending patterns in the viola and the right hand of the piano painting a gentle snowfall. The B section contrasts with a faster tempo, suggesting an intensification of the snowfall, before returning to the melancholic A section. The second movement, Frost and Wind, paints a snowstorm with its faster tempo, swirling winds in the right hand of the piano and in the choir, and bitter frost evinced in all voices. Finally, in the third movement, Snow, a shift to the major mode and tranquil melodic lines suggests a return to a gentle snowfall following the storm, with contemplative motives in all voices, until a lone robin's voice and sunlight bring us hope of spring's return.

An Open World, When I Land and And the Wind are three settings of poems from Fletcher LaVallee Bartholomew's collection entitled And the Wind: Gnostic Poems 1945 - 1979. When I Land is duration ca. 5 minutes. Minneapolis native Fletcher Bartholomew spent most of his life in aviation, beginning with a childhood flight in a Curtis Robin in 1929. His work in aviation started with a job as an inspector in an aircraft factory. He went on to become a test pilot in World War II, serving at the South India Air Depot at Bangalore, India. He often spoke later of his experience on the ship to India and the people he met travelling around the subcontinent. He subsequently worked in aviation in Munich, Germany, and in Lima, Peru, before he concluded his career working in airport planning and management. Follow along in the score as you listen to a performance in this video: https://youtu.be/8ZmbFg3jI6s TEXT: I fly da Vinci's dream on wings of speed,With effortless delight I cleave the air, Free in the boundless realm of sky, I feed My soul with wonder, questions seeming fair. Why brought forth to wander on this earth? Why given this brief breath of life, To wonder at our enigmatic birth, To reach for stars, want reason for the strife. Yet, being here, why try to find a plan? Why waste time in thought before we go? Is not life enough for any man? How many have, as theirs, my answer, No. When I set foot again upon the land, And darkness gains upon the setting of the sun, I long to feel the welcome of your hand In mine, to rest, let Time its silly cycles run, Life's nights are all too few. No other hand, no other's look, no other one, Can bring that peace to mind or heart or soul, No peace. Although I know there's always fun In life, to reach that sublime goal, I must return to you.

Published by Mark Lansom (A0.759588). 1. Gogerddan, 2. Robin Ddiog, 3. Cadair Idris, 4. RhosymedreWelsh Folk Song Suite was written in 2011 for Wrexham Schools String Ensemble, though it is an enjoyable challenge for string groups of any age. The notes are mostly straightforward and the rhythms can be taught and learnt. The work is conveniently named, though only the inner movements could be described as a folk song. The first is taken from Edward Jones’s 1794 Musical and Poetical Relicks of the Welsh Bards, whilst the fourth is a famous hymn.Three of the movements share a modernist idiom without often straying from their melodic root. In the final movement ideas from the first two movements return. The slow movement, Cadair Idris, however, stands alone, with much more traditional harmonic roots, and is joined structurally by an original melody. Score and parts included.

Published by Chris Siddall Music Publishing (A0.1148554). 1991’s Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was a huge box office success and Michael Kamen’s score is one of his finest. The song “Everything I Do (I Do It For You)†which Kamen co-wrote with Bryan Adams and Robert John Mutt Lange spent sixteen weeks at the number one spot in the UK singles chart, and went on to sell more than 15 million copies worldwide. This cue appears early in the movie, after Robin escapes imprisonment and returns home to England from the Crusades to find much has changed in his absence. Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to perform film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!
