The exercises presented in this book are intended as a stepping stone for the jazz trumpeter so that you may be able to create your own practice ideas. Most trumpet players blow downward a bit too much. as a consequence, the pressure point lies on the lower lip. The result: .a thick, dull tone without treble and smoothness.
