Kevin G. Pace #854253. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1261183). A beautiful, dramatic choral composition portraying the miracle of Jesus in feeding the 5000.  Music by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:Jesus lifted up his eyes while sitting on a mount. There a multitude had come, where thousands was the count.Jesus asked of Philip then, “Whence shall we buy some bread?â€Feeding hungry souls was such a way the Master led.One small lad had barley loaves, just five that day were found. And small fishes, only two, were set upon the ground.“Bring them hither,†Jesus said, then blessed and brake the loaves. These became like manna there, this miracle to show.Jesus asked disciples close to share the scanty feast. Each did eat, not sparingly, ‘til all were filled and pleased. Then He called disciples there to gather what remained;Twelve full baskets still were left, all through the Savior’s Name.Jesus also fills our lives when we might have a lack.Needing aid we lend our best, then He gives as we act.Listening to all we pledge He takes each offering,Always giving more to us than what we humbly bring.Chorus:Granting needs and pure desires is what our Savior seeks. As He fills our daily cups, we aid his heartfelt plea.He will ever honor us by giving what we lack. This, this precious miracle, is what He gives us back.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1080353). A bold, dramatic, sacred hymn. Music composed by Kevin G. Pace. Text written in the 1500s by Martin Luther. Text: 1 Now praise we Christ, the Holy One, The blessed virgin Mary's Son. From east to west, from shore to shore Let earth its Lord and King adore. 2 He who himself all things did make A servant's form agreed to take, That he as man mankind might win And save his creatures from their sin. 3 The grace and pow'r of God the Lord Upon the mother was outpoured; A virgin pure and undefiled In wondrous way conceived a child. 4 The noble mother bore a Son -- For so did Gabriel's promise run -- Whom John confessed and leaped with joy Before the mother knew her boy. 5 Upon a manger filled with hay In poverty content he lay; With milk was fed the Lord of all, Who feeds the ravens when they call. 6 The heav'nly choirs rejoice and raise Their voice to God in songs of praise. To humble shepherds is proclaimed The Shepherd who the world has framed. 7 All honor unto Christ the Lord, Eternal and incarnate Word, With Father and with Holy Ghost, Till time in endless time be lost.

Text : The trumpet sounded forth: From the watchman on the tower: “Amend your ways, turn back to God, Feel His redeeming power.†The trumpet’s voice is loud and strong, It calls us to gather ‘round, For its clear voice is warning, “Hearken to the trumpet’s sound. A trumpet sounded forth, Calling men to arms: Prepare yourself for battles long, Protect all from danger’s harm. A trumpet sounded forth: “Raise the ensign high, Rally to the Standard Bearer, Yea, to the Lord on High.†His trumpet sounded forth, It will never call retreat: “Go forth in faith to meet the Lord, Kneel at His judgement seat.†A trumpet sounded forth, Proclaiming divine decree: The Gospel is restored to earth, So all men may come to Me. A trumpet shall sound forth, Calling all men from the grave When resurrected souls will sing, “Hosanna to the One Who Saves!†The trumpet sounded forth: “Prepare for the King to appear!†With songs of joy, we await that day, “Behold! Your King is Here!â€.

THE ICON OF THE INVISIBLE GOD (SATB) – Colossians 1:15-20
Chorale SATB
Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.926661 Composed by Michael…
(+)
Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.926661 Composed by Michael A. Morizio. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 15 pages. M.A. Morizio #3588399. Published by M.A. Morizio (A0.926661). In the first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Colossians, we discover the next known Hymn to Christ right after his introductory passages, beginning at the 15th verse. Paul opens this letter with a blessing, then immediately flows to one of the 1st century hymns, which I have called, The Icon of the Invisible God. The lyrics of this hymn are declarative, bold and illuminating as to whom the Christ figure is-the icon, the very image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. The text makes it abundantly clear that Jesus is the authority; that He was there before all things, that He created all things, and that through Him all things hold together. This anthem is composed for SATB choir with Pipe Organ accompaniment. The meter is set to 6/8 time, with a rhythm tempo of Totally Alive; which is one actual definition of the word Holy. The anthem starts at a good clip (♪=100). The key is G Major, with an incidental and occasional flatted 5th (Dâ™) as a surprise-landing befitting to the text presented, as if to say, This is so amazing, how can it be? The flatted 5th gives the piece it's own identity and causes the listener to stand up and take notice whenever it occurs. When the hymn's lyrics glide into the all-important resolution, having made peace through the blood of the cross, the song retards and lands on a surprising musical cadence, the sixth chord (E Major). In this piece, the pipe organ is boldly featured as it supports and under girds the musical line, occasionally trumpeting its own victorious motifs and adding some contrapuntal elements, such as this duplet motif, in the pedal line. The final lyrics about Christ having reconciled everything to Himself, whether things on the earth or in the heavens, finish the piece with a great, ‘High-Church’ choral ending.

Stephen R Dalrymple #6709747. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818372). Hope of the World: 13 Feed the Flock for Slaughter original song arranged for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ music © 1999 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2024 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ based on Zechariah 11, John 10, and Matthew 27♫ The Judah of Zechariah was marred by exiles who struggled greatly to obey God’s law. Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai and Malachi contain many passages that point out the sin of the people. Joshua, the current high priest, is pictured in one of Zechariah’s visions as wearing filthy apparel, desperately needing cleansing. Sheep in Bible times are grown more for their wool and milk, not so much for the slaughterhouse. Zechariah likens the leadership of Judah to shepherds and flock owners who are primarily concerned with selling meat. But there is a good shepherd who intervenes to lead the flock. He is mistreated by the owners and the shepherds and paid the price of a slave for his efforts. The good shepherd, casts the price on the floor for the potter.♫ Zechariah is looking ahead to a time when the religious leaders of Judah were short on compassion and the needs of people. Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd. We see several parallel’s here in John 10. He called the religious leaders of His day, thieves and robbers, and predators. Judas Iscariot was paid the price of a slave to betray Jesus, which he threw to the ground, but was scooped to purchase a Potter’s Field!♫ Includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir part on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet♫  (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927456 Composed by Roger Jones, Alison Fuggle. Arranged by Annie Routley. Christian,Easter,Musical/Show,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 98 pages. Christian Music Ministries #6135917. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927456). Rock - a worship musical.Full piano score with SATB choir, solo parts and narration.Starting in Caesarea, Peter's story unfolds in flashback. From fishing, his 3 years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus calls Peter 'the Rock' - but we see that only in Christ, and filled with His Spirit, is Peter on solid ground.Synopsis Traditional words introduce the theme of the Musical: Jesus is our ROCK OF AGES, but the story starts IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. Here, centurion Cornelius declares I’ve had a vision - but who can explain it, who can help? Cornelius’ household tell of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus, and we are taken back to Galilee when Peter, a fisherman, WORKING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, hears Jesus’ call to leave your nets and leave your boats. He responds I WILL FOLLOW YOU. For three years Peter follows Jesus, and when challenged declares YOU ARE MESSIAH, the Son of the living God! Jesus replies On this rock I will build my church, then, ominously, points towards Jerusalem. He and his followers eventually arrive in the city at Passover, and during the meal they wonder IN THIS BREAD, IN THIS WINE, is there love for me? At first reluctant, Peter allows Jesus to wash his feet. Events turn against Jesus; he is arrested, and Peter is afraid. The taunt SURELY YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WITH HIM sees Peter denying he ever knew Jesus. Then their eyes meet across the courtyard, and Peter is devastated by his own failure. But even at such an awful time as this, THE LOOK OF LOVE contains acceptance and hope. WERE YOU THERE WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED MY LORD? Peter wasn’t - he was in hiding along with many of the disciples. But after the resurrection, Jesus greets Peter and the others in Galilee: THIS IS THE PLACE – I am the Lord who comes to meet you here. Jesus asks: SIMON PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME? After being asked three times Peter reaches reality: Lord, you know everything … you know how much I love you! and receives the commission Feed my sheep. Peter and the disciples return to Jerusalem, and wait for the promised Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the Spirit comes, and as A CHOSEN PEOPLE, the followers of Jesus receive his power. Peter preaches, and thousands believe and respond JUST AS I AM … O Lamb of God I come. The Church is born and in the power of the Spirit begin WORKING IN THE FATHER’S BUSINESS, doing the things that Jesus did! Peter eventually arrives IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. He shares his vision with Cornelius and his household, and declares God has no favourites … you can be saved too … if you believe in Jesus. They believe, receive the power of the Spirit, and Gentiles also become members of the Chosen People, called out of darkness into wonderful light! Peter’s vision is fulfilled – the Gospel is for all who believe in Jesus. Peter declares HE IS THE STONE that the builders rejected … on Jesus the ROCK I will build my life! .

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing! for String Quartet

(+)
Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841363 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn, Samuel Arnold, and William H. Cummings. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 18 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #6098159. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.841363). This year's Christmas publication choice fell on a song very dear to me: Hark! The herald angels sing. The text, inspired by Luke’s Gospel (2:14), appears for the first time in a collection of Christmas carols called Hymns and Sacred Poems in 1739, jointly written by Charles Wesley (1707-1788 ) and George Whitefield (1714-1770), two of the founding members of the Methodist movement. The version we know today is the one adapted by William H. Cummings (1831-1915) from the section Vaterland, in deinen Gauen of the Festgesang zum Gutenbergfest, WoO 9, by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847). The story, however, is more complex and articulated than that. The original version of the text, written by Wesley, bearing the title Hymn for Christmas-Day, had received only slow and solemn music for its verses, music now almost completely discarded. Also, his original opening lines were Hark! How all the welkin rings / Glory to the King of Kings .The version that has been passed to us is the result of alterations made by different hands, especially those of Whitefield, who changed the initial couplet into the one we know today. In 1840-one hundred years after the publication of Hymns and sacred Poems-Mendelssohn composed a cantata commemorating Johann Gutenberg’s invention of movable-type printing. The English musician William H. Cummings finally adapted Mendelssohn’s music around 1855 in order to fit the music to the verses and give it its present look.In this edition we propose the version that every listener expects to hear when reading the title on the programme and, immediately after, one of the few original versions that have reached us in their entirety, that is the one set to music by Samuel Arnold (1740-1802) and available today in The British Minstrel, and Musical and Literary Miscellany, vol. 3, published in 1843.The proposed instrumentations are those of the classical string quartet and the cello quartet. Both variants are very simple to perform and are certainly suitable for small string ensembles formed in musical schools. In the cello quartet version, the only relatively complex part is that of the first cello, which should be left to the teacher or to a student able to play up to the 7th position without excessive troubles.I hope this music can bring you the serenity that made me prepare it.

Lord, Heal Our Land musically asks for the Lord's comfort and healing during difficult and uncertain times. Let today be a day of healing when so much of it seems torn...All the good we were sharing before is still where we stand. Let the Comforter come near to us and Lord, heal our land. The lovely melody, easy harmonies, and simple, yet poignant piano accompaniment will speak gently to your singers and audience. Sheila Gagen's lyrics were inspired by He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 - NIV (NOTE: Demo recording and Youtube link are the Two-Part arrangement). .

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.926671 Composed by Michael A. Morizio. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 24 pages. M.A. Morizio #3588445. Published by M.A. Morizio (A0.926671). My dear friend, and Pastor Don Colageo and I cut our teeth together with this piece when we decided to dive headlong into this cycle of Seven Anthems to Christ. It was the second song of the (SEVEN ANTHEMS TO CHRIST) cycle that I had composed, but the first using his Greek translation(s). It eventually would become the last piece to grace the cycle of seven in order of my musical presentation sequence. In fact, this known 1st century Hymn to Christ spans 18 verses of the first chapter of the Gospel of John. My setting of the anthem is seven plus minutes long in performance length. The song's length was not on purpose, but the number seven does have Biblical significance (seven days of creation, seven golden lamp stands, etc.) The number seven is also known among Biblical scholars as the number of Holiness and Perfect Creation. Since this rather long, yet theologically complete Hymn to Christ already existed in the 1st century, it is no wonder the Apostle John opted to begin his Gospel with it, probably quoting the entire text. Consequently, he converted this particular Hymn to Christ’s lyrics into what would later become canonized Scripture. The anthem is composed for SSATB with solo SSA trio, and Solo Soprano and Solo Baritone lines, accompanied by Flute and B♠Clarinet. The key signature of the anthem is B♠Major. However, a lot of time is spent weaving and bobbing around the Dominant chord, (F Major). The Flute and Clarinet introduction play seven different motifs, interweaving with counterpoint, musically connoting the dual natures of Christ--fully God, and fully man. An SSA trio opens the piece recounting the creation story. A bass solo shortly follows, introducing John the baptizer's story and purpose. Soon, the anthem breaks out into full SSATB illustrating Christ's life and purpose for our salvation. The final coda is the great Doxology, sung in 5 parts, accompanied by the Flute and Clarinet, and the entire congregation (or audience) is invited to sing along with the familiar tune.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.921768 Composed by Lisa Waites. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 2 pages. Servant Song Music and Ministry #6629007. Published by Servant Song Music and Ministry (A0.921768). We're Forgiven (God of Grace) was originally scored in a Piano/Guitar/Voice format, but for this Advent/Christmas season, Servant Song Music & Ministry has produced this full SATB Choral arrangement, as well! This particular arrangement is suitable for Beginner and Early Intermediate Church Choirs and Worship Teams, including very small ensembles. If you don't have any men in your choir, you can turn the score into a Soprano/Alto 2-part version pretty easily, too. This short, accessible piece of worship music was written as a liturgical response for use during Christian services during the Advent/Christmas/Epiphany seasons of the church calendar. It returns the work of the people TO the people, placing the Words of Assurance into the mouths and hearts of the congregation and/or choir, rather than having the minister alone speaking the words of absolution/assurance after the Prayer of Confession. Set in a simple key for beginning accompanists and including chord charts for guitarists (or pianists who prefer to play by reading the melody notes in the RH and playing by chord symbol with their LH), this song has been set in a perfect vocal range for congregational voices and/or church choirs. Non-liturgical churches have also appreciated this piece as a way for congregants to respond musically to services on themes such as God's Grace, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Prodigals, Mercy, and also throughout Advent or whenever the pastor is focusing on themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, etc. Please don't make illegal copies of this score; it is the primary way I recover the costs of arranging, engraving and publishing new music. I work on the honour system. If you truly can't afford to purchase copies of this piece for each of your singers/musicians, please contact me via email or my Facebook music page, and I'll make sure your group is taken care of. To God be the glory!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976711 Composed by Isaac Watts / Lowell Mason. Arranged by Robert Myers. Christian,Easter,Sacred. Octavo. 31 pages. WheatMyer Music #4775085. Published by WheatMyer Music (A0.976711). When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, written by the Father of English Hymnody, Isaac Watts, in 1707 and later matched with Lowell Mason’s 1824 tune, HAMBURG, has long stood at the forefront of English hymnody. This arrangement, taken from my Passion Week cantata, Wounded, Bleeding, Still Proceeding, allows the full talent-spectrum of the Body of Christ to contemplate His sacrifice and offer their devotion. The first two stanzas feature an alto/soprano duet, set in a minor key with frequent diminished and augmented chords to reflect the despair and loss of a witness to the crucifixion. The entire third stanza, set for SATB chorus, never really moves off the F minor tonic until the end. That, and the relentless pounding of the bass line, ponders the witnesses anguish and our vicarious experience of it through Scripture. So, sing these stanzas sadly – they are sad! When the choir enters, be sure to observe the swelling crescendos/diminuendos as the sorrow and love mingle together. The fourth stanza offers optional congregational participation and may be used to provide a responsorial to the Word of God or a preparation for the Table. The choir sings this stanza in four part harmony as the congregation joins on the melody. It stays in a major key and closely follows the traditional consonances used in Lowell Mason’s harmonization; thus, the choral parts will feel familiar and the congregational melody will flow naturally. Take the text literally (Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.) and sing it firmly, enthusiastically, passionately, but never triumphantly. Sing it as a song of personal devotion to commit all that you have, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, to the one who humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Phil 2:8b) so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor 5:21)The music is well within the grasp of any ensemble competent with traditional SATB anthems. The piano/organ accompaniments are straightforward yet very colorful. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross is an unapologetic Christian worship anthem suitable for sacred services, yet does not compromise on artistic expression. The parts provided in this version include a full score, a piano-vocal octavo (which may be performed alone), and organ and timpani/percussion parts. Neither organ or timpani are required but adding either or both provides a deep and rich experience. Parts for reduced orchestra (strings and single winds) are available separately.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.719733 Composed by Various. Arranged by Curtis Hanson. Sacred. Octavo. 11 pages. Curtis Hanson #4573041. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719733). As years come and go, one increasingly recalls memories of earlier times. One of the most vivid and cherished memories I have while growing up is of Sunday mornings, going to church, sitting in the same pew each week with my grandmother, hearing and singing the beautiful hymns of our faith, and then returning home to the aroma of beef slowly roasting in the oven. My father directed the church choir, my mother and older brothers sang in the choir, so the wonderful music of our faith was instilled in me from an early age. This medley, and others in the series, are arrangements of many of my favorite hymns from those early years, many of which have been lost in more recent editions. For this series, I have elected to use the older texts as that is the way they were first written and the way I first learned them. There is a reverence and beauty in the language enriching the vocal/choral tone which, I believe, is lost in contemporary, conversational, or politically correct syntax. I shudder to think of the day when a penitential phrase such as Hear thou my prayer, O Lord is rendered as Hey, God-dude, listen up - I'm talkin' atcha! I have also opted not to include the many wonderful hymns and carols which are associated with the major festivals of Christmas and Easter as those are commonly found in other collections. A caveat: I have no delusions, and I offer no pretenses, that these settings are great art. They are simply expressions of faith which I hope may bring a small measure of joy to other church musicians. The general concept of each medley is to present the hymn, often in its original chorale form, and then vary its harmony or texture. The hymns in this set include Break Thou the Bread of Life, Come, Ye Thankful People, Come, and We Gather Together.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.926664 Composed by Michael A. Morizio. A Cappella,Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. M.A. Morizio #3588427. Published by M.A. Morizio (A0.926664). The Apostle John’s visions in Revelation are nothing less than astounding to all readers. However, little is it known that another Hymn to Christ is neatly tucked into the very first seven verses of this last book of the Bible. John begins his Revelation (verses 1-3) with a prelude, introducing Jesus Christ and the apocalypse (revelation) that was made to him via the angel sent to describe all the things about which he was to write. He says, Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and keep what is written in it, for the time is near. After this short prelude, John delivers an epistolary opening (a greeting identifying the author and recipients), then pronounces a blessing upon the recipients-verses 4-6. After both the prelude and the opening, John immediately proceeds to another known Hymn to Christ, in verse 7, which I have called, Behold He Is Coming. When presented with the text in Revelation 1:7, I immediately thought, Where is the Gospel, the good news, in this piece? After several minutes of meditating on the text, I realized the Gospel message was right there in front of me-in the very last line: Yes, so be it [Lord], so be it, [Amen!] There will be peace! All will be known. Every single person will understand, at that point. The end, is the ushering in of a new beginning. The piece is scored in G minor for SATB with flute and Bâ™ clarinet accompaniment. In the opening phrase, we hear the clarinet on a sustained high (concert) G, which crescendos into a quick, descending sixteenth note pattern. There is urgency! The flute joins the clarinet in a duet to complete the introduction to the anthem. Then, the choir begins their haunting chant, Behold, He is coming with the clouds. Every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him. Every eye will see Him and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him . Alas, there is peace! The two instruments dissolve into an a cappella four-part chorale where the choir creates the agreement between the text and the music, modulating to the relative major (Bâ™)-all is reconciled in a final Amen!

He has partnered with Rebecca Fair for this flowing anthem that celebrates the life and name of Jesus. Including the hymn O HOW I LOVE JESUS with new words was a brilliant idea. Imagine Joseph's amazement when an angel of the Lord appeared in his dream, telling him to take Mary as his wife...that she would have a son who was to be named Jesus “for he will save his people from their sins.” Today we are still amazed at the power of this name, and grateful that we, too, can Call Him Jesus.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841364 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn, Samuel Arnold, and William H. Cummings. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 18 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #6098157. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.841364).

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.915680 Composed by Richard Joseph Barber. Classical,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 4 pages. Barber Music Company #3023247. Published by Barber Music Company (A0.915680). Words by St. Ambrose of Milan (c340–397), tr. by John Henry Newman.Set to music and arranged by Richard Joseph Barber for Rev. Jason Parker, High Country Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, CO.Composer's note:This is a joyous call to prayer (especially morning prayer). The music reminds me of little children skipping with glee under a bright blue morning sky. It needs to be sung with joy in the Lord, Who hears us when we call, forgives our sins, and gives us grace to love Him, keep his commands and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. It should be a wonder morning service anthem, but why not try it in the evening, too, in anticipation of meeting God at the beginning of the next day. The key to the style of this piece is rhythmic vitality. The 6/8 meter should be conducted in two, but singers (and the conductor) must feel the eighth note division of the beat as the composition's energizing rhythmic subtext. After the choir has learned the words, pitches and rhythms of the piece, have them let the text go for awhile, and replace it with the syllable doo for every eighth note value. That is, for every eighth note sing 'doo once; for every quarter note sing it twice; for every dotted quarter note sing it three times, and so on. You will hear some giggling from your singers. That is okay. They will have some fun, and you will hear definite improvement. RJB (barberpianoserv@gmail.com).
