In the light I have found my family, I am safe to sing my song. With a lightly syncopated, contemporary sound, this uplifting original expresses the need for a warm and welcoming community for all. Composer Mark Burrows reminds us that we can help others feel comfort and belonging simply by sharing our inner light. Perform with piano alone or with the addition of an optional djembe. Rich with opportunities for social-emotional learning.

Carefully placed staccatos and well-chosen chord inversions illuminate the gospel style of this original anthem of hope. It's a perfect pep talk or pick-me-up theme song for whenever your program needs a lift. A solo voice becomes a duet before all the singers join in and grow with intensity. Several ascending key changes raise spirits, ensuring that the uplifting message resonates. Everything will be alright, everything will be okay, 'cause I can see a new horizon on a brand new day. If you don't perform with the kickin' SoundTrax accompaniment, be sure to add a groovin' drummer and riffing organ of your own. We dare you (and your audience) not to clap along!

I've always enjoyed celebratory and rhythmic singing. I also know there's a need for this style in treble voices. The holiday season is a perfect time to create such a work. The text of The Angels' Gloria is based on the familiar Montgomery hymn with original music. This work can be easily be done as a call and answer or antiphonal setting. Try using it as a processional, too. Hearing the voices surround the audience is always exciting for everyone and a superb teaching and learning experience. The accompaniment is intentionally simple and bell-like, supporting the three-part harmonies. I've also created a B-section that is a cappella in full three-part singing, rich and full giving lots of contrast to the piece. There is so much good teaching throughout the piece, making for interesting rehearsals and a terrific performance piece. I hope this adds just the right sparkle for your Christmas or holiday program.—Greg Gilpin.

In the words of Anne Frank: “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” These sage words from a young Anne are the foundation for this original song. “One child can change the world. No matter how big, and no matter how small.” These powerful lyrics, gently set, provide a message that all young children need to hear.
