Orchestra STB vocal soli, SATB choir, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, trombone, 2 violins, viola, cello, contrabass - Grade 2 SKU: CA.5001611 Composed by Josef Gabriel Rheinberger. Edited by Han Theill. Violin 1. Sacred vocal music, Lent and Passiontide, Feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hymns in praise of the Virgin Mary. Single Part, Violin 1. Composed 1864. Op. 16. 8 pages. Duration 16 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 50.016/11. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.5001611). ISBN 9790007222680. Key: C minor. Language: Latin/German. Contemporary criticism saw in Rheinberger's Stabat Mater op. 16 from 1864 one of the most beautiful works of this type which the present time has to offer. Distinguished through its breadth of conception and its noble tonal effect, with its rich polyphony it reaches the masterpieces of the old Italian school. In the expressive choral movements rich-sounding homophonic passages are combined with sections worked out in strict polyphony. The sustained songlike solo pieces are of a profound expression. SATB choir, cantor, assembly, organ accompaniment, brass quartet SKU: GI.G-00...(+)
SATB choir, cantor, assembly, organ accompaniment, brass quartet SKU: GI.G-008828 Composed by Alan Hommerding. Advent, Advent 4 B, Advent 2 A, Annunciation, Immaculate Conception. Tune Name: Mundo Corde. Sacred. Octavo. 16 pages. GIA Publications #008828. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-008828). UPC: 641151088280. English, Latin. Alan's rich text speaks of Mary, the chosen one, faithful disciple, blessed among women, and pure in heart. Alan also composed this compelling musical setting for a recent commission. Thy lyrical melody is supported by organ and brass. In the absence of the brass instruments the accessible organ accompaniment in verse 1 may be used for the entire piece. Verse 2 works wonderfully well as the choir sings the Latin words Beati mundo corde. (Blessed are pure in heart) while the assembly and cantor continue singing the meoldy. Verses 3 and 4 feature brass quartet accompaniment as the melody is sung in unison. The final verse utilizes the choir singing the mantra-like phrase Ave Beata. (Hail, Blessed One) beneath the cantor and assembly melody. Assemblies will enjoy playing their essential role in the full version of By God Kept Pure. $1.65 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 1 to 2 weeks

There is much emotion in this choral concept joining a well-known hymn text with a melody from classical repertoire. Replete with images of our journey in life and our hope for heaven, this heartfelt anthem is touched with simple sincerity. The violin adds a bittersweet element and the appearance of Going Home is an inspired touch. The anthem doesn't linger in reflection but embraces the hope of heaven, rising to a dramatic finale of praise. $2.20 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 24 hours - In Stock

Soli SATB, SATB Choir, 2 Fl, 2 Ob, 2 Vl, Va, Bc SKU: CA.3116409 Cantata for the 13th Sunday after Trinity. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Edited by Frieder Rempp. Arranged by Paul Horn. 1x 31.164/21 flute 1, 1x 31.164/22 flute 2, 1x 31.164/23 oboe 1, 1x 31.164/24 oboe 2. Stuttgart Urtext Edition: Bach vocal. Harmony parts. Sacred vocal music, Cantatas, Whitsun. Set of Orchestra Parts. Composed 1725. BWV 164. Duration 17 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 31.164/09. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3116409). ISBN 9790007209018. Language: German/English. This six-movement cantata was performed for the first time on 26 August 1725 in Leipzig. The text was written by Bach's Weimar cantata poet Salomon Franck and had been published earlier in 1715 in his collection Evangelisches Andachts-Opffer. Here, Bach bases his work around the form of the Weimar cantatas which take their texts from Franck's printed collection (BWV 132, 152, 161-163, 165): movements 1-5 are performed by vocal soloists, whilst only the final chorus is given to the chorus. The key concepts of the text are Barmherzigkeit [compassion], Erbarmen [mercy] and wahre Christenliebe [true Christian love]; the chamber music arrangement of the cantata corresponds with this. The two arias for tenor and alto, and the duet for soprano and bass do not contain da capo sections, but repeat the entire text in a condensed form. The instruments do not contrast as a rule, but are treated as a string group (movements 1, 4), duetting (movement 3), and as full unison (movement 5). What is remarkable in all three movements is the thematic linking of the instrumental ritornello parts with the vocal parts through which Bach achieves a kind of unity of form. Score and parts available separately - see item CA.3116400. $14.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Piano (SATB) - early intermediate SKU: CR.984388 Composed by Jeffrey Blersch. Choral. Octavo. With music. Concordia Publishing House #984388. Published by Concordia Publishing House (CR.984388). ISBN 9780758672858. 7 X 10.25 inches. A text by Lisa M. Clark set for SATB and piano by Jeffrey Blersch. The text was inspired by the parable of the dishonest manager (Luke 16:1 - 13) and will help Christians wrestle with the concepts of living in a broken world to make an eternal difference. The music presents a warm melodic setting of the text, and each choral part gets to sing the melody. Look with eyes that see forever, Faithful to the Lord's design. Work within the world, but never Choose its call o'er things divine. Nothing on this earth can sever You from love that will refine, You from love that will refine. Serve with hands that toil unceasing, Diligent in great and small. With the Kingdom's realm increasing, Rob the devil's lair of all. Joyous souls, their bonds releasing, Sing their rescue from the fall, Sing their rescue from the fall. Love with hearts that will not waver Underneath the fearsome fight. Show the weary Jesus' favor, Won to make creation right. By all means, bring all to savor Mercies rich and glories bright, Mercies rich and glories bright. UPC: 196288153245. 6.75x10.5x0.036 inches. 1 John 4:9, Psalm 40:2-12. A well-known hymn text speaks through a fresh musical treatment in this evocative choral offering. A murmuring piano motive in minor introduces a testimony to God's saving love, while the main theme suggests the spirit of a folk song or rustic sea shanty. As the anthem develops, the piano accompaniment expands, adding a theatrical sweep to the concept. $2.50 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 24 hours - In Stock

Instrument parts. MorningStar Music Publishers #60-4011. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers (MN.60-4011). UPC: 688670640117. English. The hymn tune SHADES MOUNTAIN (K. Lee Scott, 1987) is paired with a 1976 Erik Routley text in this concertato for choir, congregation, brass quintet, organ, and optional timpani and percussion. Six stanzas of the fifteen-measure melody are provided here. Two stanzas are notated in SATB layout. Stanza 2 encourages the congregation to sing in four parts as in a hymnal layout (reproducible congregational pages are provided). Stanza 4 is for the choir alone, a cappella, in four parts. One stanza (1) asks the women of the congregation to sing with the women of the choir, and this concept is repeated with the men (stanza 3). Stanza 5 is unison, stanza 6 is unison with descant. An introduction and interlude before the final stanza round out the piece. A majestic piece, full of wonderful variety and color.
