The traditional spiritual is arranged with contrasting sections, alternating between mournful, slow verses and finger-snapping, swing refrains supported by a walking-bass accompaniment. The harmonies are interesting but not challenging. This piece will be well received by your church members and would make a great encore for a choral concert.
