This thoughtful Advent anthem highlights different names given to Jesus by prophets and others longing for the newborn King. Inspired by the hymn, The King Shall Come When Morning Dawns, the rich, minor melody is easy to learn and underscores the mystical feel of the piece. Available separately: Unison/opt. 2-Part Treble. Duration: ca. 2:43.

Equally suited for both church and school settings, this popular spiritual was originally sung as a protest song denouncing slavery and hypocrisy. The song's energetic melody underscores an uncompromising drive for equality, justice, and freedom. Repeated phrases in the melody and text make the piece an ideal choice for any unison or two-part choir.

This is a hidden gem! An African resurrection hymn artfully arranged for choir and assembly. The accompaniment includes organ (somewhat unusually scored), xylophone, drum, and axatse (a large hollow gourd with beads tied around the outside). The tunes remains unharmonized, but has some choral countermelodies. The refrain after each of the four verses is a series of alleluias. SATB or Unison. Percussion: Xylophone, Drum (African, Conga), Axatse. Â
