Concert Band - Grade 1.5; Grade 2 SKU: FJ.B1862S Composed by William Owens. Concert Band - Flex Instrumentation. FJH Flex Series. Score. Duration 2:10. The FJH Music Company Inc #98-B1862S. Published by The FJH Music Company Inc (FJ.B1862S). English. This powerful work depicts the frantic voyage of the RMS Carpathia, the first ship to arrive on the scene after receiving a distress call from the Titanic. Determined to save as many lives as possible, the captain managed to squeeze 17 knots out of a supposed 14-knot vessel. The music depicts the vibrations of the ship's hull along with the hissing of the boiler. As Carpathia arrives on the terrible scene, the music relinquishes its fast pace to a slow, mournful hymn. After a brief moment of tranquility, the music intensifies as the rescue ship embarks on her triumphant yet tragic return voyage to safety. Absolutely stunning! Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-459-010 Composed by Philip Sp...(+)
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-459-010 Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Midway Series. Opening Pieces. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2017. Anglo Music Press #AMP 459-010. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-459-010). English-German-French-Dutch. Festival Prelude ‘Ad Excel’ was commissioned by the AD Concert Band, from Solihull in the UK, to celebrate their 40th Anniversary in 2016. The title, Ad Excel, is a play on words: it is Latin for ‘to excel’ but also celebrates the band’s anniversary as XL is 40 in Roman numerals. The work opens with a bright fanfare with frequent changes of meter. This leads to a playful main subject, played first by woodwinds, followed by full band. A bridge passage leads to a legato second subject, played twice. The bridge passage returns to introduce the both main melodies in new keys and instrumentations before a coda, derived from the opening fanfare, brings the work to a close.
$140.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Like the Eagle, We Soar and Rise was commissioned by Yuying Secondary School Concert Band and Yuying Alumni Association for the 2010 centenary of the school’s foundation. The piece was named by a friend of the composer named Steven Phua, who originally suggested commissioning a new piece to Satoshi Yagisawa. The piece furthermore takes its name from the text of the Yuying Secondary School song. This composition is based on three different concepts: the first one demonstrates ‘The founders’ passion for education’; the second concept illustrates ‘Hardship in war time’; the third one ‘To the future’ describes the inner strength people find to overcome struggles. Thispiece concludes with a fanfare, which is the sound of hope that leads to a brighter future in a positive direction. The world premiere of this piece was conducted by Faizal Bin Othman, who is one of the leading educators in Singapore, and was performed by the Yuying Secondary School Concert Band.
$47.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1175712-010). English-German-French-Dutch. This work was composed as a commission by the Keika Gakuen Symphonic Band, to commemorate their 40th annual concert. The composition is a march-style work that begins with a chorale based on a theme from the school song—a distinctive motif that reappears in the middle section. Tetsuya Kashino, a graduate of the high school, is a band coach and has a deep friendship with the composer. Kashino named the work Scent of Spring, which reflects two distinct meanings—firstly, in Japanese, a part of the band’s own name, and also “a premiere in Springâ€. Scent of Spring is a bright and optimistic piece of music, suitable to perform on various occasions.

Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1115070-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. This three-movement work is a tribute to French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. The first movement depicts what is without a doubt Bartholdi’s most famous sculpture, the Statue of Liberty in New York, which also gives this piece its name. Next listeners get to experience the trumpeting angels, which can be seen atop the First Baptist Church in Boston. The final movement takes listeners to France to view the Lion of Belfort in France.
Liberty: in één woord imposant!
$275.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Composed 2012. 12 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1125069-140. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1125069-140). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. When the song Silent Night was fi_x001F_rst heard, at Christmas 1818 in the village church of Oberndorf, near Salzburg in Austria, no one could have dreamt of the success this Christmas carol would enjoy the world over. The village schoolteacher and organist Franz Gruber - the 150th anniversary of whose death is marked in 2013 - composed the melody for a poem by Franz Mohr shortly before Christmas. Today, Silent Night is sung in over 300 languages worldwide.
Oberdorf-Salzburg, Kerstmis 1818.
$25.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
