Gleichwohl betrachten die Autoren es als ihre Pflicht und Aufgabe, traditionelles Liedgut zu bewahren, sodass in der Neuauflage eine Mischung aus Altbewahrtem und Neuem ensteht. Ziel der Schule ist weiterhin eine solide technische, musikalische und blaserische Ausbildung, die einerseits einen frohlichen fruhinstrumentalen Zugang zur Blockflote ermoglicht, andererseits aber den Weg zum kunstlerischen Blockflotenspiel nicht verbaut sondern sinnvoll vorbereitet.
