Arranged for 4 or 5 octave handbell choir with an optional B-flat 2 and G2. Level 4. A free and ethereal opening gives way to hurried, almost desperate sixteenth notes in this masterwork from Hart Morris, written in honor of Fred Gramann. A syncopated melody ensues, accompanied the entire time by the same frantic sixteenth notes. The mood gradually slows and becomes more hymn-like before the emergence of a final, triumphal verse of the hymntune LOBE DEN HERREN (Praise to the Lord, the Almighty). A grand challenge for any advanced choir looking to showcase their talents.

Sondra K. Tucker has written the impassioned Seasons of Life, for three to five octaves of handbells. This memorial piece is both hauntingly beautiful and powerfully life-affirming. Though marked a level four, most choirs capable of ringing a level three piece ought to be able to work this one up with a modest effort, and the result will be well worth it. Mallets and singing bell are used sparingly throughout, but always to good effect. Perfect for a memorial service or general use. 3-5 octaves level 4.

4-7 octaves - level 4+ - - This advanced original composition starts off with grand, slow chords, but don't let that simplicity fool you -- what begins peacefully becomes an explosion of energy and motion, making liberal use of bass bells malleted on the table. The piece becomes a whirlwind of activity, carrying the listener (and, in some cases, the ringers) along on a spirited, celebratory journey.

Arranged for 3 to 7 octave handbell choir and optional 3 to 7 octaves of handchime. Level 4+. Leo Delibes. From the talented pen of Sandra Eithun comes another fantastic transcription of a well-know piece from classical literature, this one from Leo Delibes' Lakme. Flowing sixteenth notes and deep, sonorous bass lines create a truly magnificent tonal experience. Delicate plucks and malleted notes appear throughout, replicating pizzicato string notes to great effect. A true masterwork, and a brilliant addition to the advanced handbell literature. The recording is a live performance of the Kalamazoo Ringers under the direction of Janet Van Valey.
