Traditional American folksong The traditional American folksong is here set for 3,4 or 5 octaves of bells. Special performance notes are given for each octave. As one would expect there is a great deal of skipping around, especially in the accompaniment. Traditional harmonies are used, but forays are made into outside harmonies as well. All kinds of special techniques are called for including mart lifts.

Palm Sunday Hymn The favorite Palm Sunday hymn is first presented with a modal passage inserted between phrases of the tune, and goes on to use fresh harmonies throughout. The texture is predominantly chordal with very few complex rhythms. The rating level comes from the frequency of bell changes due to the harmonic scheme of the piece. This piece is arranged in G Major and C Major and is 77 measures.
