Essentially, they revive the old style of the Chorale- Prelude, but using carol tunes instead of hymns or chorales. They are derived from German, French and English melodies - some of the German tunes were found in my mother's old school songbook from her schooldays in Germany after the First World War. $16.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Published by Carus Verlag (CA.5027200). ISBN 9790007298371. As well as 20 organ sonatas and seven collections of stand-alone organ pieces with opus numbers, Rheinberger composed a whole range of smaller works for organ methods or organ collections for his favorite instrument, mainly at the request of colleagues and friends.
In 1897, at the request of the English publisher Novello, Rheinberger compiled a collection of six pieces for the series “Village Organist†and had these published as “Six Short Piecesâ€. He drew largely on older pieces for this, but also composed three new pieces. What resulted is a delightful group of little gems for worship or organ teaching, including a short character piece, “Consolationâ€.

Sacred vocal music, Requiem, End of the church year, Mourning, death. Single Part, Organ. CG op. Posth. 4 pages. Duration 35 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 27.315/49. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.2731549). ISBN 9790007201746. Key: C major. Language: Latin. Charles Gounod composed this Requiem under the impact of the death of his four-year-old grandson, Maurice. According to information handed down, while finishing the details of this work he was overtaken by death. It was published posthumously in various constellations by his pupil, Henri Busser, but the only complete version from the pen of Gounod is the version for large orchestra, which is published here for the first time in a critical edition. Gounod's Requiem, unlike many contemporary settings of the Mass of the Dead, is not characterized by darkness and terror. Rather, with all of its trepidation - expressed through a marked chromaticism - an atmosphere of hopeful expectation, of trust in the grace and equity of the divine judge predominates. This confidence finds its expression in the choice of the fundamental key of C major, which is rather unusual for a requiem. The work was given an impressive performance on the occasion of the first anniversary of Gounod's death in the Parisian church of Sainte-Madeleine under the direction of Gabriel Fauré and it was highly acclaimed by the contemporary press. English - Danish. This toccata is based on the introit to the Christian Epiphany festival and solemnly announces the appearance of the Lord. As a toccata, the work is an introduction to Hakim's Adoration (Schott, ED 22614) for voice, flute and organ, a paraphrase of the first three introitus to Epiphany. The Toccata develops a series of symphonic variations with virtuoso movements that emphasize the expressiveness of the words of the Gregorian text: Ecce advenit dominator dominus: et regnum in manu ejus, et potestas, et empium. Deus, judicium tuum regi da: et justitiam tuam Filio regis. (Behold, the Lord, the ruler, comes: and the kingdom is in his hand, and the power and the dominion. God, give your judicial office to the king: and yours Justice to the son of the king.) (Malachi 3: 1, I Chronicles 29:12, Psalm 71: 1, 10, 11). $23.99 - See more - Buy online

Thoughts on the composition “Zwischenklänge†with regard to the subject of “home and abroadâ€: - Music that never rests, that is in constant motion and mutation, its tones almost trembling, on the run, in constant tension. - Music that unfolds its beauty in the “in betweenâ€, in the appoggiatura, in the flash-like emergence and disappearance of harmonic colors. - Music as an evolvement of time, waiting, bustling, erupting, or withdrawing.
The composition “Zwischenklänge†was awarded tje 11th Composition Prize of Contemporary Sacred Music of the European Church Music Festival Schwäbisch Gmünd. – The premiere was given on 27 August 2012 by Roman Summereder (Vienna).

Soprano voice, SATB chorus divisi, Organ - Grade 4 SKU: CA.2741045 Arrangement for soloists, choir and organ (arr. M. Popp). Composed by Anton Bruckner. Arranged by Marius Popp. Gattungen vokal: Sacred vocal music. Full Score. WAB 38. Duration 9 minutes. Carus Verlag #2741045. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.2741045). ISBN 9790007300029. Key: C major. German/English. Bruckner described his setting of Psalm 150 (1892) as “my best festive cantata of allâ€. With its monumental Halleluja theme and the great fugue on “Alles, was Odem hat, lobe den Herrnâ€, the psalm setting has a pronounced festive character.
For this edition, Marius Popp has transcribed the orchestral writing for organ. Originally scored for large orchestra and large choir, this festive cantata can now also be performed by smaller choral forces in a sacred space. The fascinating combination of filigree motifs, powerful passages and chromatically bold complexities are expressed in a completely new way in this arrangement. An exciting setting of one of the most popular psalms for more experienced choirs to perform in festive church services or concerts.
The vocal and choral scores from the original version (also available as Carus 27.410/00) can be used with the organ version. . Score available separately - see item CA.2741000. $35.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Orchestra Soli ATB, SATB Choir, Flute, 2 Oboes, (Violin), Strings, Organ SKU: CA.3110207 Cantata for the 10th Sunday after Trinity. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Edited by Reinhold Kubik. Arranged by Paul Horn. This edition: paperbound. BWV 102. Sacred vocal music, Cantatas. Study score. Composed 1726. BWV 102. 84 pages. Duration 24 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 31.102/07. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3110207). ISBN 9790007047382. Key: G minor / c minor. Language: German/English. In 1726 Johann Sebastian Bach performed a series of cantatas by his Meiningen cousin Johann Ludwig, then continued this series with his own works, but remained faithful to the textual models used his cousin: a Meiningen cycle of texts by an unknown author from the early 18th century. All these texts share the characteristic of including two quotations from the bible: one from the Old Testament at the beginning, and another from the New Testament in the middle. These cantatas include Herr, deine Augen sehen nach dem Glauben BWV 102. The opening chorus in several sections is one of Bach's masterpieces of choral composition. The cantata is also one of those works on which Bach's later reputation was based: performances are documented from 1776 in Hamburg and in Berlin by Zelter's Sing-Akademie from 1813 onwards. In 1830 it was one of the very first cantatas by Bach to appear in print. Score available separately - see item CA.3110200. $14.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
