Soloists, Choir, Orchestra SKU: BA.BA08862-90 Pastorale héroïque in one act. Composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau. Edited by rik Kocevar. Arranged by François Saint-Yves. This edition: urtext edition. Paperback. Vocal Score. Duration 3 hours. Baerenreiter Verlag #BA08862_90. Published by Baerenreiter Verlag (BA.BA08862-90). ISBN 9790006558223. 27 x 19 cm inches. Text Language: French. Preface: Kocevar, rik. Text: Charles Colle. The heroic pastoral Daphnis et Egle was performed only once, on 29 October 1753, for the entertainment of King Louis XV at Fontainebleau and remained unpublished until today.
This edition is based on Rameau's autograph manuscript, a copy of the separate parts, and the libretto published by Ballard in 1753. A comparison of the sources reveals two versions of the work: the original version and the one revised for Fontainebleau, whereby the differences lie mainly in the final divertissement. This edition recommends the Fontainebleau version--which is actually more complete in its musical form, in particular with its overture and two ariettas--but also reconstructs the original state of the final divertissement (presented in the appendix) before it was revised.

Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3913719). ISBN 9790007133115. Language: German. The cantata cycle Die Tageszeiten, which was composed in Hamburg in 1757, is one of the outstanding late works of Georg Philipp Telemann. A Symphonie and four cantatas (each of which consists of an aria, accompagnato, aria, and chorus) portray, in a richly sensitive manner, the course of a day, beginning with the awakening of nature to the sunset. The poetry of Friedrich Wilhelm Zachariae and Telemann's music herald the beauty of nature, as well as the greatness of God revealed within it. Colorful instrumentation and pictures in sound corresponding to each time of the day, delicate compositional structure, and an ingenious realization of the text characterize this work, whose musical idiom is at times reminiscent of Haydn. Sacred vocal music, Christmas. Set of Orchestra Parts. Composed 1724. BWV 133. Duration 20 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 31.133/09. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3113309). ISBN 9790007207977. Language: German. The cantata Ich freue mich in dir was first performed during Bach's second year as Thomaskantor, on the 3rd day of Christmas, and belongs to the so-called annual cycle of chorale cantatas. Here the focus of the composition is the hymn of the same name by Philipp Ziegler, in which the first and final strophes were adopted, word for word, in the first and sixth movements of the cantata. The soprano, which carries the chorale, is supported by the conrnett (Zink), which already at this time had become a seldom-used instrument. The joyful, lively choral movement with instrumental interludes directly follows the first aria, and begins with a marked, ascending motive at the word Getrost! (safely). The oboes d'amore which accompany the alto lend the movement a special color. In the second aria (for soprano), Bach again shows himself to be the master of text interpretation. The words Wie lieblich klingt es in den Ohren are emphasized in an exchange between open strings and sixteenth note figures. Score and parts available separately - see item CA.3113300. $17.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks | | |
