Nu heeft het nieuw leven ingeblazen gekregen in een dancevariant én als themasong bij de Netflixserie La Casa de Papel. Naar aanleiding daarvan creëerde Anthony Gröger dit levendige arrangement voor strijkkwartet.
Bella Ciao ist ursprünglich ein italienisches Volkslied aus dem späten 19. Jahrhundert. Im Laufe der Jahrzehnte sind zahlreiche Versionen erschienen; in jüngster Zeit ist das Lied durch eine neue Tanzadaption und die Verwendung als Thema für die Netflix-Serie La casa de papel (Haus des Geldes“) wieder aufgelebt. Das wiederum hat Anthony Gröger dazu inspiriert, dieses neue dynamische Arrangement für Streichquartett zu schreiben.
