Due to the success of our Instrumental Fingering Posters, we thought it would be helpful to create a smaller version that could be tucked comfortably into any method book as a reference guide. Unbeknownst to us after days of research, we were left with countless questions, much confusion, and a slew of poorly crafted images from contradicting publications. That being said, we realized that there weren't truly any trustworthy resources in print and decided to address the void. We consulted experts in every category asking questions until both we and they and we were satisfied. Finally, a guide to fingering for beginners that even the experienced players will find beneficial. Santorella's Basic Fingering Charts are essential for anyone that picks up an instrument. Initially intended for beginners but after understanding the importance of false fingerings or more appropriately called, alternate fingerings their necessity is vital for playing certain musical passages on a particular instrument. In addition, after observing the difficulties that students had in identifying key signatures, we decided to include the Circle of Fifths diagram and every major scale in two octaves in every key including their enharmonic counterparts. After all was said in done, we now know, we now have the best educational products available for fingering in the industry. Our Basic Fingering Charts are perfect for private students, classroom study, or simply for a quick and easy reference guide while practicing at home. These graphic reference guides for assorted brass, reeds, woodwinds, and orchestral strings are specifically available for Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Trumpet, Flute, Piccolo, Recorder, Baritone Horn, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Alto Sax, Soprano Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba, Oboe, Bassoon, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. The Six Three-Part Preludes and Fugues are regarded as a unique testimony to Mozart's profound interest in the works of Bach.
ISBN 9790004338025. 9 x 12 inches.
The Six Three-Part Preludes and Fugues are regarded as a unique testimony to Mozart's profound interest in the works of Bach. Or was it a brilliant contemporary of his who arranged the two preludes and five fugues by Johann Sebastian, and one fugue by Wilhelm Friedemann for string trio and supplemented the collection with further preludes? The new editions put the music text of Johann Nepomuk David's edition of the parts to the test, especially the editor's practical arrangement, which reflected the performance style of his time. These new editions go one step further, also in a performance-practical sense. The publication of the score and (orchestral) parts also enables string orchestras to play this piece for the first time - an instrumental possibility that is perfectly legitimate, both musically and historically. It is a fascinating addition to the repertoire that one can recommend to every chamber orchestra.Contents:No. 4 Adagio Mozart's arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach, Adagio e dolce from the Sonata for Organ III BWV 527 Fuga Mozart's arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach, Contrapunctus 8 from the Art of Fugue BWV 1080No. 5 Largo Mozart's arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach, Largo from the Sonata for Organ II BWV 526 Fuga Mozart's arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach, Allegro from the Sonata for Organ II BWV 526No. 6 Adagio by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Fuga Mozart's arrangement of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Fuga in F minor Falk No. 31/8.

For this scholarly-critical edition, the editor has consulted no less than 16 sources, many more than were ever used for any other edition of the Requiem; some of these sources were never evaluated before and one source, a hand-written vocal score, particularly relevant to the evaluation of the Liber scriptus, was newly discovered. As such, this edition offers new philological and editorial decisions regarding phrasing, articulation and dynamics and succeeds in presenting practical suggestions to solve musical problems and those concerning the interpretation of this famous work. This edition comprises a concise Critical Commentary in the score as well as a detailed one on the Barenreiter website. The most important editions published in the 19th century are compared with regard to musicological questions in the work. The genesis of some misunderstandings included in the 1913 and 1964 Ricordi editions is traced. The first version of the Liber scriptus for chorus is included in the appendix while the later version for mezzosoprano solo is to be found in the main part of the edition.

Chorale settings form a central part of Telemann's oeuvre. His 1754 setting of the church hymn Christus, der ist mein Leben, based on Melchoir Vulpius' melody from the Hamburg Hymnal, is especially well-suited to display his mastery in depicting the words of the chorale. The so-called Ausfullungsbass (a vocal bass added to the principal bass in tutti passages) was probably necessitated by the acoustical properties of Hamburg's churches. This is the first Urtext edition of this highly successful chorale setting which is based on Georg Philipp Telemann Musical Works. The score contains a realisation of the continuo part.* First Urtext edition based on Georg Philipp Telemann Musical Works* An attractive addition to the repertoire with a view to the Telemann Year 2017* Bilingual Foreword (Ger/Eng)* Uncluttered idiomatic piano reduction.

With the edition of the Christmas Oratorio within the framework of the Stuttgart Bach Editions, Carus presents a scholarly edition for practical performance. The basis for this publication are Bach's autograph score and the original parts. The conducting score contains an appendix with a concise Critical Report which provides information about the sources and their readings; when necessary, the latter are discussed in more detail, especially with regard to how the editor arrived at solutions for questions of articulation which differ from those found in previous editions. The representative, clothbound volume is supplemented by a study score as well as a choral score, a vocal score and complete orchestral material. In the orchestral material short excerpts containing the conclusions of the secco recitatives are rendered with cue notes in separate vocal systems printed above the score where the instrumentalists pause, thus enabling them make their entrances in the movements which follow these recitatives. This work is also available in carus music, the choir app! Score and part available separately - see item CA.3124800.
