Organ Duet SKU: PL.PPM02158M Composed by Samuel Adler. Score. Paraclete Press #PPM02158M. Published by Paraclete Press (PL.PPM02158M). This large new work, composed by Samuel Adler, exploits both the lyrical and rhythmic qualities of the organ. Written for organ duet (two players at one console), this allows for a large, fascinating variety of textures and timbres. A meditative supplication, with much imitation and flowing eighth notes is followed by a jazzy, multi-metered celebration. Seemingly endless variations of rhythm create tremendous excitement and a piece that will be loved by performers and audiences alike. $35.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 24 hours - In Stock

| Overture to La Gazza Ladra Potenza Music
Tuba-euphonium quartet SKU: P2.80085 Composed by Gioachino Rossini. Arran...(+)
Tuba-euphonium quartet SKU: P2.80085 Composed by Gioachino Rossini. Arranged by Jack Adler-McKean. Chamber music. Published by Potenza Music (P2.80085). Alongside Guillaume Tell (William Tell) and Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville), La Gazza Ladra has proved over its almost 200 year existence to be one of Rossini's most enduringly popular operas. The overture particularly has become an orchestral favorite in its own right, and this virtuosic arrangement has now brought it within the grasp of the most ambitious tuba-euphonium quartets looking for a real concert-ending flourish. This arrangement was commissioned for and first performed (with equally virtuosic choreography!) at the International Tuba-Euphonium Conference 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. $29.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

| Five Songs Potenza Music
Tuba and piano SKU: P2.90087 Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by...(+)
Tuba and piano SKU: P2.90087 Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by Jack Adler-McKean. Solo music, Romantic. Published by Potenza Music (P2.90087). Arranger Jack Adler-McKean writes, What better way of displaying the tuba's remarkably beautiful singing tone than through the medium of Romantic song itself? Written between the ages of seventeen and twenty-three, these songs exemplify Rachmaninoff's prodigious talent for combining timeless melodies with his unique style of piano writing, and now can demonstrate the tuba's exceptional ability at replicating a Russian bass-baritone voice. Without texts to rely on from such luminary poets as Aleksei Tolstoy and Nikolai Minsky, the performer is presented with challenges that go far beyond the notes themselves. The final reward, however, of being able to create music of such exceptional beauty will inevitably justify all the work that is put in.. $19.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
| Concerto in D Major Potenza Music
Tuba-euphonium quartet SKU: P2.80082 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. A...(+)
Tuba-euphonium quartet SKU: P2.80082 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Jack Adler-McKean. Chamber music. Published by Potenza Music (P2.80082). Arranger Jack Adler-McKean says, This concerto originally forms part of L'Estro Armonico ('Harmonic Inspiration'), a collection of concerti grossi written by Vivaldi in 1711 described by many as amongst the most important and influential instrumental works of the period. This is perhaps why it is one of several concerti that Bach chose to arrange for the harpsichord, and also why it is now just as famous as his own original concerti for the instrument. The work came to the attention of the brass playing world after an arangement was made for German Brass by their expert piccolo trumpet player Matthias Hofs. Whilst not being directly based on his transcription, this arrangement certainly retains a virtuosic character. Technical and stylistic challenges create a demanding piece of music, but the end product will be highly impressive; a Baroque masterpiece that will undoubtedly entertain players and audiences alike.. $24.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

| Clarinet Concerto Concert band [Score] - Intermediate Anglo Music
Concert Band/Harmonie and Clarinet Solo - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-058-140 Com...(+)
Concert Band/Harmonie and Clarinet Solo - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-058-140 Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Midway Series. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2003. 76 pages. Anglo Music Press #AMP 058-140. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-058-140). This is a great opportunity to incorporate a modern concerto into your band's repertoire, which will provide a fresh and appealing concert item for your upcoming season. The work follows the standard 3-movement concerto form witha syncopated, rag-like opening movement contrasting with a slower, beautifully English-sounding second movement. The third movement is based on a bebop style to show off the jazzier qualities of the clarinet. This substantial workis suitable for a Grade 4 standard band.
$38.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Chamber Music Bassoon, Flute, Violoncello SKU: PR.114408750 Composed by Samuel Adler. Set of Score and Parts. With Standard notation. Composed 1995. 40+14+15+15 pages. Duration 20 minutes. Theodore Presser Company #114-40875. Published by Theodore Presser Company (PR.114408750). UPC: 680160013289. 8.5 x 11 inches. This work was commissioned by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library for the dedication of the new Music Room and made possible in part through the funds from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and Meet the Composer-Arizona. Diary of a Journey was composed between July and September 1995 for the group Arpeggio. During the early summer of 1995, my wife and I took a vacation to Prague and Budapest. It was the first trip for both of us to these former Iron Curtain capitals. The train ride through the beautiful country-side, the dilapidated small villages and towns, the magnificent architecture and the feeling of grandeur in the two major cities left an indelible impression on me. I longed to write some kind of an essay about it. Diary of a Journey is the result of some of these thoughts, which were sketched (musically) as we visited each place. There are four 'snapshots' or movements which do not portray a specific scene, but rather try to capture the impressions I gathered from the people we observed and met, and the many awe-inspiring experiences we had. Throughout the journey, I felt that people were clinging to a tenacious hope for a better future, no matter how long it will take to realize it. In the first movement each player portrays a struggle against all odds, and with great energy and even wit tries to overcome the obstacles, ending on one serene high note as a resting point after all the conflict. The second 'snapshot' tries to capture the deep faith of a newly regained religiosity. It is chant-like, and uses as its basic melodic material a famous Czech hymn, penned by the great religious reformer John Huss. This movement is played very freely, without bar-lines and with the hymn shining through the fervent chanting. The third movement is a kind of 'demonic' scherzo. Fast and furious, the three instruments vie with one another in a true perpetual motion frenzy, which is at times relieved by short, more pastoral melodic fragments. A rather wild ending should leave everyone breathless. Finally, in the fourth 'snapshot' the instruments play a bit more as a team, meaning that is that there is more melody with accompaniment, and more imitative music giving the impression of a group effort. The energy is still at a high level but long lyrical lines abound, accompanied and interrupted at times by undulating fast notes still depicting the struggle against the blight which any visitor notices all around these countries, yet also showing the determination of the people to conquer adversity. --Samuel Adler. $75.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
