$9.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.AMP-340-140 Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Midway Series. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2012. 44 pages. Anglo Music Press #AMP 340-140. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-340-140). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Of Skies, Rivers, Lakes and Mountains was commissioned by the Northern California Band Directors' Association to honour their 50th Anniversary in 2012. The first performance was given by the Association’s 2012 Honor Band, conducted by Dr Royce Trevis, in the Harlen Adams Theater, California State University, Chico, California, on 4th February that year. The brief for the commission asked for a piece that celebrated the United States’ natural resources and composer Philip Sparke turned to Katharine Lee Bates’s lyrics for the song America the Beautiful, of which the first and last verses are:O beautiful for spacious skies,For amber waves of grain,For purplemountain majestiesAbove the fruited plain!America! America!God shed His grace on thee,And crown thy good with brotherhoodFrom sea to shining seaThe three movements each take their title from these verses:1. O Beautiful for Spacious Skies: Opening with filigree woodwind figuring, this movement aims to recreate the light and lightness of a spring sky, birds and blossoms floating on gentle breezes.2. From Sea to Shining Sea: A vivacious celebration of water bubbling in streams, rivers and lakes.3. For Purple Mountain Majesties: A slow final movement representing an awe-inspiring range of mountains
America! America!
Der Komponist Philip Sparke wählte daher die erste und letzte Strophe aus Katherine Lee Bates’ Text zum Lied America the Beautiful, die da lauten:O beautiful for spaciousskies,For amber waves of grain,For purple mountain majestiesAbove the fruited plain!America! America!God shed His grace on thee,And crown thy good with brotherhoodFrom sea to shining seaDie Titel der drei Sätze stammen alle aus diesen Strophen:1.
America!God shed His grace on thee,And crown thy good with brotherhoodFrom sea to shining sea(Amérique !
$9.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 4 SKU: BT.DHP-1094734-010 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. Concert and Contest Collection CBHA. Concert Piece. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2009. De Haske Publications #DHP 1094734-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1094734-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The Stadtmusikkapelle Wilten-Innsbruck (Austria) invited Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost to write a work to mark the bicentenary of the Tyrolean fight for freedom, which was settled in 1809. Various musical elements reflect this historical event. First, a hymn-like section rings out, based on melodic fragments from the ‘Tiroler Landeshymne’ (by Leopold Knebelsberger), which intertwine in a counterpoint-like arrangement. The second passage is more bellicose in character, and mirrors the fight of the Tyroleans - under the inspiring leadership of freedom fighter Andreas Hofer (1767-1810) - against Bavarian, French and Italian troops. Next, a broad, chorale-style melodyappears again: here, the imposing beauty of nature in Tyrol, and the amiable, lively temperament of the people who live in this mountainous region, are glorified. This is neither a programmatic work around an historical reconstruction, nor a politically inspired work: it is a combination of factual and cultural components, with an artistic and sonorous character. The use of the flugelhorn in particular gives Tirol Terra Fortis its ‘couleur locale’: for this beautiful instrument can invariably be found in the Austrian wind band. The commissioning music society had therefore specifically asked the composer to incorporate the instrument in this work. It certainly enhances the already extensive colour palette of the modern concert band!

The commission to create a compulsory piece for the 2012 competition fell to Jan de Haan. The composition is entitled Musica Helvetica. It takes the form of a three-part concert work, in which the last two parts flow directly from one to the other. The first part, Musica Prima, is a brisk virtuoso opening with jazz flavours woven in. The following section, Musica Sacra, offers a contrast with an extraordinarily colourful instrumentation for the gorgeous main theme. Thefinal part, Musica Alpina, is inspired by the great variety of scenery in Switzerland. With its witty humour it makes a worthy conclusion to this beautiful tryptich.

| Journey to the Centre of the Earth Marching band [Score and Parts] - Intermediate/advanced Gobelin Music Publications
Fanfare Band - Grade 6 SKU: BT.GOB-000964-020 Voyage au Centre de la T...(+)
Fanfare Band - Grade 6 SKU: BT.GOB-000964-020 Voyage au Centre de la Terre. Composed by Harrie Janssen. Set (Score & Parts). 264 pages. Gobelin Music Publications #GOB 000964-020. Published by Gobelin Music Publications (BT.GOB-000964-020). This composition was based on the world-famous novel by the French author Jules Verne. This novel describes the attempt to reach the centre of the earth. The descent into the crater of the volcano called Snaeffels, situated in Iceland, marks the beginning of this voyage to the sublunary world.
Every year a competition for wind orchestras and brass bands takes place in Wallberg, Switzerland. Apart from a hymn and a solo piece, all orchestras also have a compulsory piece to play.

Piano Solo - SMP Level 7 (Late Intermediate) SKU: BU.EBR-A045 Composed by...(+)
Piano Solo - SMP Level 7 (Late Intermediate) SKU: BU.EBR-A045 Composed by Johannes Brahms. This edition: French Edition. Classique. Anacrouse. Partition + Biographie + Notes sur l'oeuvre. Score. Editions Bourges #EBR-A045. Published by Editions Bourges (BU.EBR-A045). ISBN 9790560151168. 8.58 x 12.48 inches.
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-0991533-010 Composed by Piet ...(+)
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-0991533-010 Composed by Piet Swerts. Sovereign Series. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 1999. De Haske Publications #DHP 0991533-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-0991533-010). Following the spectacular movie Titanic, the story of the world famous ship stood in the spotlights once again. Piet Swerts was inspired by this catastrophic saga to compose this beautifully narrative piece, reflecting the masses of people in Southampton, playing children and the undulating sea. The piece gradually picks up impetuously culminating with the looming iceberg and the dramatic sinking of the Titanic.
$268.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Brass Band (Score & Parts) - Grade 3 SKU: HL.44012993 For Brass Band (...(+)
Brass Band (Score & Parts) - Grade 3 SKU: HL.44012993 For Brass Band (Set of Score/Parts). Composed by Jan Van der Roost. De Haske Brass Band. Concert March. Softcover. Composed 2008. De Haske Publications #1084619030. Published by De Haske Publications (HL.44012993). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. From the first bars the stately character of this solemn, yet celebratory, march is clearly heard. The introduction of the main theme takes place in the medium register, immediately resulting in a noble tone. A lyrical trio melody provides contrast, but the march closes in a festive and imposing mood. A march worthy of any concert program.
$60.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

| The Blues Factory Concert band [Score] - Easy De Haske Publications
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.DHP-1033347-140 Composed by Jacob...(+)
Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.DHP-1033347-140 Composed by Jacob De Haan. Applause Series. Original Light Music. Score Only. Composed 2003. 32 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1033347-140. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1033347-140). This imaginative new work portrays the rich history of the textile industry through music. The decline of the industry is expressed in the opening slow movement with an authentic 12 bar blues. The second movement uses a jazzy rock style blues to show the optimism and solidarity of the mill workers and the final movement uses a strong vocal-style blues to look forward with optimism to the future.
$31.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks
