Guitar SKU: DY.DO-1540 Composed by John Williams. Score. Les Editions Dob...(+)
Guitar SKU: DY.DO-1540 Composed by John Williams. Score. Les Editions Doberman-Yppan #DO 1540. Published by Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (DY.DO-1540). ISBN 9782897963200.
The first movement, Aeolian Chant, is based on a theme by a friend of mine, (not a musician!) and is developed with some other ideas in a semi-improvisatory style and features only strings. I combined a 14th Century Italian melody with an old English country dance for the second movement, Double Dance, which introduces the wind instruments. The third movement, Ballad, is here revised from its original version and now includes the theme on clarinet with guitar obbligato. The last movement, Toccata, is fast, but not as difficult as it sounds, which will appeal to most players! $10.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

A Medieval Christmas combines three ancient melodies that are stillpopular around the world today.
The composer wrote of his work as follows: In the music of Hungary, folk songs are manifestly of great importance, on the other hand our ancient airs and dances play a modest role. For this work I have been influenced by dances of the 17th century, written by unknown amateurs in a relatively simple style. Most of these dances were recorded between the 14th and 18th centuries under the usual form of tablature notation. My interest in this music was first captured in the 1940s. I was so fascinated that I decided to give these melodies new life. I fitted the little eight-bar dances together into ternary and rondo forms, and leaning on early Baroque harmony and counterpoint, I attempted a reminiscence of that atmosphere of the provincial Hungarian Baroque. $9.95 - See more - Buy online

Concert Band and Vocal Soloist (Score) - Grade 5 SKU: HL.44011763 Poem...(+)
Concert Band and Vocal Soloist (Score) - Grade 5 SKU: HL.44011763 Poems by Graeme King. Composed by Marco Putz. De Haske Concert Band. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2010. De Haske Publications #1094768. Published by De Haske Publications (HL.44011763). UPC: 884088896607. 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The hymn Nun ruhen alle Walder (Now All Forests Rest), arranged by J.S. Bach (No. 6, So sei nun, Seele, deine, from Cantata BWV 13), is a guiding light throughout this four-movement composition. Pütz wrote this work as a musical outcry against the wilful, profit-driven destruction of our environment. When Bach used the word ruhen (to rest) over 350 years ago, it probably had a different nuance from the meaning it has today. At the beginning of the 21st century - the so-called age of progress - nun ruhen alle Walder should mean now all forests die . Massive industrialization and globalization, coupled with pure greed, corruption, political scandals, an ever-wideninggap between the rich and poor, and other such senseless human actions, are pushing our blue planet closer and closer to the point of no return. This work is not intended to be a ranting accusation. It should remind us of the beauty and harmony that can exist all around us in nature, if we take care of it. Pütz hopes that this will, one day, help put a greater emphasis on humanity's survival, and coexistence with nature rather than the exploitation described earlier. All four texts were created by Australian poet Graeme King, whose works were discovered by Pütz, by chance on the internet. Pütz was especially captivated by King's clarity, and intrigued by the possibilities of adapting and melding the strong rhythmical structure of King's writing with his own musical language. The four movements are as follows: 1. Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow The world premiere of Four Earth Songs took place on 7 July 2009 at the 14th WASBE-Conference in Cincinnati (USA). This work is dedicated in friendship to Jouke Hoekstra, conductor, and the Frysk Fanfare Orkest (the Frisian Fanfare-Orchestra).
Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3.Stand up! 4.
Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow Die offizielle Uraufführung von Four Earth Songs fand am 7. Juli 2009 statt, anlasslich der 14. WASBE-Konferenz in Cincinnati (USA).
Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3.Stand up! 4.
Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow Die offizielle Uraufführung von Four Earth Songs fand am 7. Juli 2009 statt, anlässlich der 14. WASBE-Konferenz in Cincinnati (USA).
Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! (Levez-vous !) 4. Tomorrow (Demain) Four Earth Songs est dédié amicalement l’Orchestre de Fanfare de Frise (Frysk Fanfare Orkest) et son chef, Jouke Hoekstra. Concert Band and Vocal Soloist (Score & Parts) - Grade 5 SKU: HL.44011762 Poems by Graeme King. Composed by Marco Putz. De Haske Concert Band. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2010. Hal Leonard #1094768. Published by Hal Leonard (HL.44011762). UPC: 884088896591. 9x12 inches. English(US)/Deutsch/Francais/Nederlands. Stand up! 4. Pütz hopes that this will, one day, help put a greater emphasis on humanity’s survival, and coexistence with nature rather than the exploitation described earlier. All four texts were created by Australian poet Graeme King, whose works were discovered by Pütz, by chance on the internet. Pütz was especially captivated by King’s clarity, and intrigued by the possibilities of adapting and melding the strong rhythmical structure of King’s writing with his own musical language. The four movements are as follows: 1. Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow The world première of Four Earth Songs took place on 7 July 2009 at the 14th WASBE-Conference in Cincinnati (USA).
Juli 2009 statt, anlässlich der 14. WASBE-Konferenz in Cincinnati (USA).
Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! $115.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

I fitted the little eight-bar dances together into ternary and rondo forms, and leaning on early Baroque harmony and counterpoint, Iattempted a reminiscence of that atmosphere of the provincial Hungarian Baroque.
| Madrigal Pavane / Timburibá [Score] - Advanced Productions OZ
Guitar solo - Advanced SKU: DZ.DZ-4287 Composed by Francisco Braga. Arran...(+)
Guitar solo - Advanced SKU: DZ.DZ-4287 Composed by Francisco Braga. Arranged by Luciano Lima. Score. Les Productions d'OZ #DZ 4287. Published by Les Productions d'OZ (DZ.DZ-4287). ISBN 9782898522048. Antônio Francisco Braga (1868-1945) belongs to the generation of Brazilian composers of the first republican period, aesthetically tied to romanticism, alongside Henrique Oswald (1852-1931), Leopoldo Miguez (1850-1902), Glauco Velásquez (1884-1914), and Barrozo Neto (1881-1941). Born in Rio de Janeiro, on April 15th, 1868, he began his musical studies at the Asilo dos Meninos Desvalidos, in 1876. In 1883, he enrolled at the Imperial Conservatório de Música where he studied harmony and counterpoint with Carlos de Mesquita – a former student of César Franck, Durand, and Massenet – and clarinet with Antônio Luís de Moura. Braga's first compositions date from this period: Sonho de Dante (1885), Dolce far niente (1886), the first Valse Romantique for piano (1886), among others. In 1887, he premiered his first symphonic work, Fantasia-Abertura. In 1890, being one of the finalists in a competition to choose the new Brazilian national anthem, Braga was awarded a scholarship to study in Europe, where he took classes with Jules Massenet at the Paris Conservatory. During this period, he wrote some of his most important symphonic works, Paysage, Cauchemar, Episódio Sinfônico, and Marabá (which was performed by Richard Strauss and the Vienna Philharmonic in 1920, in Brazil). His opera Jupyra is considered one of the greatest Brazilian compositions of that genre. Back in Brazil, he was appointed professor of counterpoint, fugue, and composition at the Instituto Nacional de Música, in 1902. There, some of the finest Brazilian composers studied with him, like Glauco Velásquez and Lorenzo Fernândez. Braga wrote operas, symphonic works, songs, sacred music, two Masses, music for piano, different chamber formations, band, and choir. He is the author of many patriotic hymns, the most popular of which is Hino à Bandeira (with lyrics by Olavo Bilac). He explored Brazilian nationalist elements in some of his works, as in Variações sobre um Tema Brasileiro and in the Trio for violin, cello and piano, whose third movement is based on a lundu (a musical genre and dance of Afro-Brazilian origin). In addition to being a composer, Braga was one of the most active conductors of his time, having been ahead of three orchestras in Rio de Janeiro: Instituto Nacional de Música, Sociedade de Concertos Sinfônicos, and Theatro Municipal. Braga conducted the Brazilian premiere of major symphonic works such as La Mer (Debussy), Pacific 231 (Honegger) besides other numerous Brazilian compositions. In 1938, he retired from Instituto Nacional de Música. He passed away on March 14th, 1945, in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, Francisco Braga never wrote for the guitar. However, over a century ago his music had already been incorporated to its repertoire. According to information found in newspapers of the time, Spanish guitarist Josefina Robledo included transcriptions of pieces by Braga in her programs when she performed in Brazil: Gavota e Minuete (from the melodrama Contratador de Diamantes), in 1919, in São Paulo, and the waltz-caprice Corrupio, in 1921, in Rio de Janeiro. The piano score of Madrigal Pavane was dedicated to Alexina Leitão and published by Casa Vieira Machado, in 1901. According to the composer’s catalogue, there are two other versions of this piece: strings orchestra (1901) and quartet (which is still in manuscript). Dedicated to Braga’s childhood friend José de Souza Rocha, Timburibá (the name of a Brazilian tree) is a tango for piano from 1886, published by Narciso & Arthur Napoleão.
