Break Through is my musical representation of one's struggle to pass through a barrier or move beyond an obstacle. This could be a literal breakthrough or a metaphorical achievement. The composition is centered around the key of G minor to achieve a dark, resonant emotion. The percussion is the heartbeat and pulse for the introduction and should follow all dynamics to match the winds. Soft rolling mallets should be used for the bass drum and gong rolls, creating a dark timbre without overpowering the ensemble. At Rehearsal 13, work to have a balanced section where the clarinets can be heard on the melody and the tenor sax and horn on the countermelody. Rehearsal 21 provides a fully scored variation of the theme and should continue to be as dark as possible. Rehearsal 29 is the final musical struggle before the Rehearsal 38 'break through' climax of the composition. The resolution of the relative major of Bb should be majestic and triumphant. Finally, rehearsal 48 transitions to a recapitulation of the opening theme, moving towards a contemplative ending back to G minor. I hope you and your ensemble enjoy perforinming Break Through.Break Through is my musical representation of one’s struggle to pass through a barrier or move beyond an obstacle. In his Slavonic Dances Op. 46, Dvorak did not draw on pre-existent music, but created something original and new, projecting his own compositional will into the creative process. What we hear are Dvoraks melodies, and that it is due to his creative will that he cast them as in Dance 3, for example in the form of a melodic four-tone model which is common to many folk songs and childrens songs. Finally, it is his rhythmic invention and shaping of the musical character of each dance that breathe life into the elements of Slavonic dance music. The Slavonic Dances Op. 46, which began to conquer the world's concert halls in 1878, made a major contribution to Dvorak's international breakthrough. The Urtext edition is based on the main sources, mainly on the autograph score and the first edition.

Colin Matthews's Turning Point (2006) represents a bold stylistic breakthrough for its composer. Out of a whirring, motoric scherzo comes a jolting sea change: an austere, glacial string chorale of searing intensity that, with gritty resilience, gradually comes to overwhelm everything else. Commissioned by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, this 25-minute journey from complex momentum to expressive simplicity displays all the ingenious craft we have come to expect from Matthews, together with a new-found emotional directness.

With “Melodic Exercise Pieces†the composer and piano teacher Anton Diabelli has achieved an artistic breakthrough; to this day there is hardly a student who has not studied the pieces with pleasure at some point in his or her piano career. The composer himself emphasizes the instructive character of the pieces: he calls them “exercise pieces†and deliberately limits the pitch range to the space of a fifth, thus sparing the student difficult jumps and making it easier to read the music; often both hands are held parallel. The pieces are arranged according to keys. Tone images in major and minor are presented above the basic tones c, g, f, d, a, e, each tonal space is secured before venturing into new landscapes. Each of the small compositions represents a piece of living music.

New Urtext edition (2020) of Einojuhani Rautavaara's String Quartet No. 1 is based on the composer's manuscript, incorporating corrections and comments by composer's hand in various sources. Einojuhani Rautavaara (1928-2016) was one of Finland's internationally most successful composers. He made his major breakthrough with the Seventh Symphony, Angel of Light, in the 1990s, but his output includes numerous classic operas, concertos, chamber music works and choral works. Over his extensive career, he progressed from Neo-Classicism to strict dodecaphony to free-tonal Neo-Romanticism. His catalogue of influences over the decades includes Orthodox liturgical music and Finnish fiddlers. Rautavaara's first string quartet (1953) is from his Neo-Classical early period when he composed only little chamber music. Stravinsky and the Finnish folk music are present in the rhythmical first movement; later enters a characteristic scale alternating half and whole steps. After the Slavic romanticism of the slow movement Andante the fiddler is back in the cheerful Gigue.

Driving Ampero is Hotone's innovative CDCM HD (Comprehensive Dynamic Circuit Modeling High Definition) and F.I.R.E. (Field Impulse Response Enhancement) system. Built on Hotone's powerful XTOMP platform, acclaimed Binary series, and breakthrough VStomp Amp virtual plugin, the new-gen CDCM HD & F.I.R.E. system showcases Hotone's new high-shelf circuit modeling methods. Mainstream modeling methods are generally based on static state circuitry modeling or “black box†theory, which just “come close†to the modeled sound. CDCM HD & F.I.R.E. employs a complex system based on dynamic feature modeling. In this matrix, the technology rebuilds the entire circuitry using modeled electronic components, resulting in a tone that is vivid, accurate and expressive. More than that, the new system enhances the relationship between amps and PA systems, delivering a realistic feel and response you've never before experienced on digital gear.

Robert Schumann's Violoncello Concerto op. 129 can be regarded as the first great concerto for this instrument's repertoire. It is thus somewhat surprising that this work had an extremely problematic reception history at the outset.Schumann wrote the score in 1850, during his Dusseldorf years, but there was neither a concrete occasion nor a soloist for a world premiere. After its publication, more years elapsed before the world premiere. It was only towards the end of the 19th century that Schumann's Cello Concerto finally made its breakthrough as a repertoire piece. The Urtext edition is based on the original print of the parts and the piano reduction, which had still been supervised by Schumann. In addition, the autograph of the score was consulted for purposes of comparison. The internationally renowned soloist Heinrich Schiff took part in the preparation of the edition for violoncello and piano. His experiences have been incorporated into his arrangement of the solo part. With his comments, Schiff also provides valuable tips on the interpretation of the work.A key work of the romantic concerto repertoireThe piano reduction by Robert Schumann contains the unsigned solo part as well as the solo part arranged and annotated by Heinrich Schiff.
