Harpsichord; piano SKU: HH.HH288-SOL An anonymous late 18th-century ad...(+)
Harpsichord; piano SKU: HH.HH288-SOL An anonymous late 18th-century adaption for organ, harpsichord, or piano forte of Handel's Six Concerti Grossi, Op. 3. Composed by George Frideric Handel. Edited by Gerald Gifford. Harpsichord; Piano. Playing score. Edition HH Music Publishers #HH288-SOL. Published by Edition HH Music Publishers (HH.HH288-SOL). ISBN 9790708092322. Solo keyboard adaptations of Handel's orchestral music were common during the 18th century, although few have matched the idiomatic command and interest achieved by the present text. Dating from the mid- 1780s, the unnamed arranger has shown enterprise and imagination when producing these highly effective keyboard versions. Organists, harpsichordists and fortepianists will here find substantial, rewarding and attractive repertoire additions, fully attuned to late 18th-century English keyboard practice. $26.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks | | |

| O Lord, I Will Sing of Your Love Forever Choral SATB SATB A Cappella Zimbel Press
SATB Chorus, a cappella SKU: SU.80101359 For SATB Chorus, a cappella(+)
SATB Chorus, a cappella SKU: SU.80101359 For SATB Chorus, a cappella. Composed by Carson Cooman. Vocal/Choral, Sacred Choral. Choral Octavo. Zimbel Press #80101359. Published by Zimbel Press (SU.80101359). Commissioned by King’s Chapel, Boston, Massachusetts, in celebration of its 325th anniversary, this longer a cappella work uses a text assembled and adapted from various Biblical passages. From the composer's introduction: The anthem begins grandly with words from Psalm 89 celebrating God’s all-encompassing faithfulness and love. An alleluia refrain follows and returns several times throughout the work. However, it is not a majestic, Handelian alleluia, but rather one of inward passion and fervent introspection. The next section begins joyously with the familiar prophesy from Zechariah; it is followed by several brief Gospel scenes from the life of Jesus. After another alleluia, words of blessing from Psalm 103 are set vigorously before the work closes with a final alleluia.
