Hymns by Martin Luther: Ausgaben mit mehreren Luther-Liedern; Choral collections. Chorbuch Mendelssohn. Chor & Orgel Ab 20 Ex. Choir Book. Carus Verlag #CV 04.105/05. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.410505). ISBN 9790007093822. The three oratorios, the chorale cantatas, the large psalm settings, Lobgesang and other Mendelssohn sacred works with orchestra are famous, last but not least, on account of the variety and beauty of their choral settings. In the 19th century it was already common practice to arrange suitable movements for choir and organ, and to perform them in concert. This new choral collection makes available a wide selection and variety of movements especially suited for sacred services. All of the choral movements are based on biblical texts (most of them from the Psalter), on chorale settings or liturgical texts - these offer a wide range of uses during the church yearand within the framework of the liturgy. Edited by Reinhold Kubik. Arranged by Reinhold Kubik. Hymns by Martin Luther: Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein. German title: Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein. Sacred vocal music, Cantatas. Choral Score. Composed 1724. BWV 2. 12 pages. Duration 20 minutes. Carus Verlag #CV 31.002/05. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.3100205). ISBN 9790007041311. Key: D minor. Language: German/English. Text: Luther, Martin. Text: Martin Luther. Bach composed the cantata O God, from heaven look on us BWV 2 for the 2nd Trinity Sunday 1724 as the second cantata of the annual cycle of chorale cantatas. It is based on Martin Luther's rewriting of Psalm 112. The opening movement is one of a group of cantata opening movements which are not concertante but kept entirely in the motet style, with the instruments serving only to reinforce the singers. The archaic character of this movement is heightened by the addition of a trombone quartet. The concertante style is all the more significant in the first aria for contralto, solo violin and continuo. The first secco recitative represents a special feature: two fragments of the chorale are woven as arioso into the recitative, both in text and melody; futhermore, they are also taken up canonically by the continuo. Choral (SATB) - difficult SKU: HL.49000999 Wir glauben all an einen Go...(+)
Choral (SATB) - difficult SKU: HL.49000999 Wir glauben all an einen Gott. Composed by Ernst Pepping. This edition: C32473. Sheet music. Schott Chorverlag (Choral Music). Classical. Choral Score. Composed 1928. 39 pages. Duration 12'. Schott Music #C 32473. Published by Schott Music (HL.49000999). ISBN 9790001005555. UPC: 073999932478. 7.5x10.75x0.089 inches. German. The first part of Ernst Pepping's Choralsuite is a setting of Martin Luther's three-verse hymn, written to replace the Latin Credo in the Reformation German mass. Luther also adapted Catholic statements ('unam sanctam catholicam ecclesiam' was changed to 'die ganz Christenheit auf Erden' [the whole Christian church on earth]) as well as incorporating a number of his own theological convictions. Pepping orientates his highly contrapuntal choral texture to the vocal style of the 16th and 17th centuries and uses traditional church modes. $11.99 - See more - Buy online | | |
