Collection This swinging rendition of thetheme from the children’s hit television show was arranged in 1971 by GenePuerling and recorded by The Singers Unlimited with theOscar Peterson Trio on their album In Tune (and contained in the MagicVoices box set). This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic editioncreated from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling. The fun-loving natureof the song is maintained from the original television show theme song, with upto six parts in the ensemble vocal parts. The PDF you purchase contains Editor's Notes, a Director's Score, Vocal Part (with combined rhythm reference staff), and individual parts for Piano, Bass, and Drums. Rhythm section parts are written in classic jazz notation, with a mix ofslashes/rhythmic notation with chord symbols and some essential notes and guidelines, capturing the essence of the OP Trio’s performance. Shorter in length (under 3 minutes) and withless full ensemble writing than many other Puerling charts, this piece gives plentyof opportunities to work on unisons and energetic swing feel from the vocalistsas well as a nice feature for the pianist (Level IV).
