Has the Rain a Father? [Piano OR Guitar]
Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.5…

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596568 Composed by Juan MarÃa Solare. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 9 pages. Juan Maria Solare #4717703. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596568). Has the Rain a Father? This piece exists in two versions: Piano solo Guitar solo (without or with electronic sounds) The piano version has no huge secrets (to clarify: the pedal is used da capo al fine without interruption). The guitar version is written in three keys: E, G and A (Dorian). The performer may choose one or another score at their convenience. The guitar version can also use effects of all kinds, or amplifiers that are not always used in classical music. At the end of 2019 an album will be released on Spotify and other online music platforms with both versions of the piece (solo piano and acoustic guitar with electronic sounds). As an example of the amplitude that the composer expects from the performers: in this record production, the guitar signal is split in two parts, panned to the right and left, and different types of effects are applied to each channel (chorus, delay, reverb of different kinds and with different parameters). The original guitar signal is also in the center. Of course, there are also the electronic sounds themselves. A preliminary version can be heard here: https://juanmariasolare.bandcamp.com/album/has-the-rain-a-father Has the Rain a Father? is a quote from the bible, specifically from the book of Job 38:28. It is part of a series of rhetorical questions that tend to convince Job of his ignorance. Has the Rain a Father? was composed in Bremen (Germany) on March 17, 2019 (plus details to the piano part on March 27). Its duration is about 4:30. I asked some people about the wording of the title. Among the meaningful answers: Which wording is better, Has the rain a Father? or Does the Rain have a father? (Bible, Job, 38:28). It will be used as the title of a music piece for piano. Has the Rain a Father? is slightly unusual, and thus is attention-grabbing, something you want in a title. It sounds more biblical, calling attention to the allusion. In ordinary speech the Does the . . . version is more common, but for a title you don’t necessarily want common. (Johnny Wilson, former Writer and Magazine Editor (1973-1999))

Full Performance. Duration 228. David Kai #708503. Published by David Kai (A0.1105243). A Newfoundland Christmas song about wishing to be back home for Christmas. THEY’LL BE ON THE ROCK THIS CHRISTMAS words and music by David Kai ©1997 They’ll come from far as Whitehorse and as close as Sydney Mines, They’re packing up their suitcases and their boxes tied with twine, They’re getting on those airplanes, Dash 8s and DC 9s, Driving to the ferry docks and they’re waiting there in line. And they'll be on the Rock this Christmas, where stars shine twice as bright, They'll be on the Rock this Christmas, greeting mummers every night, Yarning ‘round the wood stove, eating partridgeberry pie, And I’ll be wondering “Why, oh why aren’t I?†‘Cause I’ll be in the factory, pulling double overtime, No one wants the Christmas shift so I guess that makes it mine, Late tonight I’ll light a candle in my lonely room, And think of those who are traveling home, ‘cause I know that very soon, That they'll be on the Rock this Christmas, where stars shine twice as bright, Yeah, they'll be on the Rock this Christmas, greeting mummers every night, Yarning ‘round the wood stove eating partridgeberry pie, And I’ll be wondering “Why, oh why aren’t I?†I’ve got to get there somehow, this poor soul’s just too homesick, My busted car won’t take me far, but my thumb will do the trick. I’ll call the boss from Port aux Basques, hope he’s in the mood to see, ‘Though I may choose to leave the Rock, it’s the Rock that won’t leave me. And I'll be on the Rock this Christmas, where stars shine twice as bright, Yeah, I'll be on the Rock this Christmas, greeting mummers every night, Yarning ‘round the wood stove, eating partridgeberry pie, And no more wondering “Why, oh why aren’t I?†Optional extra chorus: And we'll be on the Rock this Christmas, where stars shine twice as bright, Yeah, we'll be on the Rock this Christmas, greeting mummers every night, Yarning ‘round the wood stove, eating partridgeberry pie, And no more wondering “Why, oh why aren’t I?†Tag: No, no more wondering “Why, oh why aren’t I?â€.

First performed by Jordan Wright-Murray on 30 May 2019. The Cimbalom part may be played on a chromatic hammered dulcimer or hackbrett or any other instruments. Gongs - ideally 3 bossed/tuned gongs, non-specific pitches: high, medium, low. Bass drum - ideally an orchestral bass drum. The octave lower transposition indications in the cimbalom part are optional and when given beneath two-note chords only apply to the lower note. From bar 62 to the end the cimbalom may be played an octave higher than written. The cimbalom and gongs are played laissez vibrer throughout. The bass drum is played laissez vibrer, except where marked with x on stem (for example in bar 32), indicating dead stick technique. The start of each section of Narrator text is indicated in the score with boxed text. Where necessary the end of a text section is shown as unboxed text. The additional section after Fine 1, starting at bar 101, is optional and can be performed with or without the A6 narration. It is also possible to perform the whole piece without the Narrator, provided the texts are available to the audience.Programme note: This piece may be performed with one of two texts: 'The Troubles of an Automaton (Excerpt)' or 'The Table and the Chair'. 'The Troubles of an Automaton' was written by Clementina Maria Black (1853-1922) and published in the New Quarterly Magazine in 1876. The story begins with a fictional advertisement announcing a public exhibition of Mr. Slade's Famous Chess-Playing Automaton. 'The Table and the Chair' by Edward Lear (1812 - 1888) appeared in his collection 'Nonsense Songs' published in 1870. In the poem a table and a chair go for a walk around town, become lost, are taken back to their house by a group of small animals, and then dine and dance together.

Ah, scostati!...Smanie implacabili (Dorabella) from Così fan tutte - Accessible Accompaniments Ed.
Mezzo-Soprano Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1186002 Compose…
(+)
Mezzo-Soprano Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1186002 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo. Classical,Opera. 10 pages. Nicole Elyse DiPaolo #785660. Published by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo (A0.1186002). The first of its kind, this is a much more readable and sight-playable piano/vocal reduction of Ah, scostati!...Smanie implacabili,†Dorabella’s first aria from Mozart’s Così fan tutte (1790). The sextuplets in the right hand found in most standard reductions have been condensed into triplets with a grace note, emphasizing that the gestural shape is what needs to be heard rather than every individual note, and the result is a much clearer and less note-filled score for the audition pianist. Some large spans in the left hand have also been reduced out and redistributed for more ergonomic playing on long audition days. When a grace note has an accidental that is then repeated later in the gesture, I’ve rewritten that accidental on the full-size note containing it for ease of reading (so the cue-size accidental is not the only indication of said accidental in the measure, which would make it too easy to miss). The recitative “Ah, scostati!†is also included with slight alterations and courtesy accidentals in the melodic minor scales. As with any Accessible Accompaniments edition that’s not also an audition/solo cut, I suggest bringing two copies to each audition: one Accessible Accompaniment and one copy of a standard edition. Audition pianists who don’t know the aria will almost always choose the cleaner look of the Accessible Accompaniment, but those who know “Smanie†well might prefer to play from the edition they learned it from. This will provide singers and their audition pianists every chance of a successful collaboration. All Accessible Accompaniments, including this one, boast several unique features:1. No reduction ever requires stretches of over an octave, not including bass notes meant to be held or “fudged†with the pedal (though octaves may also contain chord tones within them). This reduces the amount of rearranging that smaller-handed pianists must already do. Obviously, further reworkings are to be expected and pianists should feel free to add to or modify what I’ve provided.2. I’ve included less essential, but potentially desirable additional voices/passages in cue-size noteheads so that pianists can easily see them, but know that they are not necessary in a “sink or swim†accompanying situation. Presenting less essential material in cue-size noteheads also reduces visual clutter on the page.3. In addition to the composer’s markings, when needed, I have included additional courtesy accidentals.4. All page turns have been carefully selected so as to result in the least possible disruption to the pianist when possible. 5. When known, I’ve noted alternate cuts that singers might like to take within certain arias.6. I’ve also replaced text “cresc.†and “dim.†markings with hairpins, which are easier to see in high-pressure sight-reading situations.About the Arranger:Praised as a sensitive pianist and outstanding accompanist who delivers powerful interpretations, Nicole Elyse DiPaolo enjoys a multifaceted career as a sought-after collaborative pianist, educational composer, arranger, coach, private teacher, and adjunct music professor. Currently based in the Cleveland area, Ms. DiPaolo has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Ambassador Chamber Players on multiple occasions and as a recitalist, collaborator, and presenter worldwide. Currently, Ms. DiPaolo is an online Adjunct Lecturer in Music at Indiana University; the Principal Theory Teacher at Liberty Park Music, an online-only video subscription-based music school; an invited blog contributor and guest instructor at Tonebase; and a sought-after online instructor of piano, music theory, and composition who includes partimento and historical improvisation in her curricula. For more information, please visit http://ndipaolo.musicaneo.com .

Piano,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069977 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Pop. Full Performance. Duration 184. Boothe Publishing #4633725. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069977). Most of the mistakes I made in life were between the ages of 12-16 years. Somehow I felt that I was smarter than I was. I thought that my friends were smarter than they were. I felt invincible. I made many foolish mistakes during those years. About that time, my family was preparing to move from Oregon to Utah. I remember my mother talking with me and saying that I could start over again. We would be in a new place with new people. No one would know me. I could be the person I truly wanted to be. I thought about this a lot, and when we finally made the move I had decided what kind of person I really wanted to be. In fact, I felt bad for being the wrong kind of person and hurting other people physically and spiritually. I eventually felt so bad about my mistakes that I decided that I would write or call the people I had hurt and apologize to them. Over the period of a year I was able to find, call and apologize to each of them. To my great surprise none of them were still angry with me. I was forgiven. That was a great feeling. This day will be forever what you choose. Once you leave this life you won't be able to return and right any wrongs that you have committed. So when you make a mistake, choose to make it right today so that this day, this day of good choosing will be what will last forever. Never let yourself do something that you know inside is wrong. If your friends are trying to talk you into doing something you know is wrong, don't just sit there and listen to them. Get up and leave the room, or the party, or the situation. Be true. Be the one. Be the son or daughter of God. Do what He would do.

Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813496 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 36 pages. Regis Bookshar #6266499. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813496). Canon in D (Pachelbel) (D) (Trumpet Octet) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This selection, Johann Pachelbel's celebrated Canon in D, is perhaps the most famous canon ever written and has been one of my favorite compositions to arrange. A canon is a polyphonic device in which several voices play the same music, entering in sequence. Pachelbel's Canon in D, was originally written in the key of D Major and was scored for three violins arranged in canon, accompanied by a basso continuo which repeats the same harmonic progression throughout the entire piece. The common musical term for this is ostinato or ground bass. Regis Bookshar has now arranged this music for a Trumpet Octet. Three Trumpets play the melody in canon while the ostinato accompaniment is played by the other five instruments. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but could also be performed by professional performers. It is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library that are becoming available for the first time. It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (36 pages). This version is written in the key of D Major, as is the original version, but, if you prefer, another version, written in the key of Bb Major, to make it a little easier for some younger performers, is also available. Other versions of Pachelbel's Canon in D have also been arranged by Regis Bookshar and are available for a wide variety of instrumental Quintets and Octets, in both the keys of D Major and Bb Major. I think that String players would probably prefer to play the versions in the key of D Major while the Brass and Woodwind musicians might prefer to play the Bb Major versions. I hope you take the time to compare the different versions to find the right version for you. To help you decide which version, or versions, you may want to choose, I have included several musical samples for you to listen to and to hear what these arrangements may sound like and so that you may compare the various arrangements. Also, just to let you know, the Octets written in the key of Bb Major have full-length recordings while the Octets in D Major and all Quintets have only the first 25 measures, or so, available to hear. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar which are also available. There are quite a few other arrangements in a variety of styles and I'm certain you will find something else which might interest you as well. Please keep checking because I plan to continue to add new arrangements as often as I can. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D will be a challenge to some performers but will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (36 pages). This version is written in the key of D Major, as is the original version, but, if you prefer, another version, written in the key of Bb Major, is also available.

String Ensemble Viola - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813499 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Concert,Standards,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 36 pages. Regis Bookshar #6266501. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813499). Canon in D (Pachelbel) (D) (Viola Octet) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Regis Bookshar has now arranged this music for a Viola Octet. Three Violas play the melody in canon while the ostinato accompaniment is played by the other five instruments. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but could also be performed by professional performers. It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (36 pages).
