Brass Ensemble Euphonium - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1084240 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 26 pages. Regis Bookshar #688419. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1084240). Coronation March, TH 50, CW 47 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Euphonium Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of Peter Tchaikovsky's Coronation March, sometimes called Festival March or Festival Coronation March, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and other festive occasions. This arrangement keeps all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students. Professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (26 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available to the public for the first time. The Coronation March was ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883. It was written during March of 1883 and was performed for the first time on June 4, 1883 in Sokolniky Park in Moscow, conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music then included excerpts of the anthem, God Save the Tsar. The American premiere was on May 5, 1891, for the opening concert of Carnegie Hall in New York City, conducted by Tchaikovsky himself. During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem. Starting with Dmitri Medvedev's inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president, and ends well before the playing in this piece of the Tsarist anthem God Save the Tsar. Unlike Tchaikovsky's other major compositions, the Coronation March does not have an opus number. It has been given alternative catalogue designations TH 50 and CW 47. Tchaikovsky's Coronation March was originally scored for a full orchestra and written in the key of D Major. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a Euphonium Octet, written in Bass Clef. A version written in Treble Clef is also available, if you prefer. In addition to this arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March for a Euphonium Octet, other arrangements of this festive composition for various instrumental ensembles are also available. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as there are many more arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you as well, and please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March will continue to entertain both audiences and performers alike for years to come.

Euphonium Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1426054 Composed by Mason Williams. Arranged by Sarah Houle. Classical,Contest,Festival,Pop,Rock,Standards. Individual part. 6 pages. SARAH L HOULE #1006847. Published by SARAH L HOULE (A0.1426054). Classical Gas by Mason Williams, arranged for Solo Unaccompanied Euphonium by Sarah Houle, 2024.What a lovely (and fun!) piece this has been to arrange for solo euphonium! Originally for guitar, it was quite an interesting task figuring out how best to outline the chord structures for a monophonic brass instrument. The arrangement includes a slower, more simple introduction, development sections, chorus sections, and sort of an outtro. The piece is a lovely cross between expressive and technical classical feel and a dancing/driving popular music format complete with verses, choruses and bridges.Often, in the places where the original guitar plays two or more notes in chordal fashion, the euphonium will either play grace notes or an altered rhythm to accommodate the chord structure. The grace notes are always slurred, their length designated by the note values used. Many of the passages are fully articulated rather than slurred, so care will need to be taken to play in the correct style for the arrangement to be performed well. Technical passages, especially those with syncopation, must dance. It is highly recommended to listen to an original guitar recording to get this feel!Additionally, the euphonium will need to breathe, so there are also breathing 'suggestions' in the arrangement. The arrangement doesn't stretch into the lowest euphonium range, but it does hang out on multiple high C's and B's in every chorus, so there is a bit of difficulty there in retaining stability through those passages.Enjoy this arrangement of Classical Gas for Unaccompanied Solo Euphonium!

Euphonium,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108570 By NA. By Louis-Francois Dauprat (1781-1868). Arranged by Becky Dugan. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical. 24 pages. B. L. Dugan #711215. Published by B. L. Dugan (A0.1108570). Advanced brass players will enjoy the challenge of Dauprat's Sextet No.6 in minuet form. The legato TRIO in Gb provides a lovely contrast to the staccato, arpeggiated first two sections. The challenge will be to maintain a light, classical style and a proper quick tempo. This piece is suitable for festivals, recitals, concerts and other special occasions. It could also be combined with another of Dauprat's sextets. e.e. No. 3 in E minor. Classical,Contest,Festival,Jazz. Brass Band. 107 pages. Dale Vail #897836. Published by Dale Vail (A0.1308595). Christchurch Alive! - Brass Band Major WorkPlaying level : Suitable for bands of all levelsParts for British Brass Band, and transposed options for Bass clef Trombone/Euphonium/Baritones/Tubas and Horns in F.Christchurch Alive! was written for the Nor'west Brass Band in 2017 by Dale Vail as the own choice work for their first New Zealand National Brass Band Contest in 2018.Christchurch Alive! is a testimony to the spirit of the Christchurch Community, and their resilience to the life changing earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. The piece is built around the harmonic circle of fifths. The circle of fifths is famous for being a common harmonic pattern in both baroque and classical music, and jazz and modern music. Most influentially used by Arcangelo Corelli, the pattern appears commonly in the Johann Sebastian Bach's music, and the works of Antonio Lucio Vivaldi. In the modern age, it is most famously heard in Joseph Kosma's Autumn Leaves. Dale's piece takes the two sides of this famous progression, and links them into one seamless piece of music, symbolising the union of two eras making something new, much like pre-earthquake culture, and new post-earthquake culture, joining together to create a new community. The work opens with a traditional style melody, utilising a modern minor 7th tonality. Tubular bells sound 5 times, a clock tower striking 5am marking the first hour after the first earthquake. The band explodes into a New Orleans style street band theme, showing the nightlife and central city vibrancy that still exists amongst the repairs. This swaps to a Vivaldi inspired melody, using the same circle of 5ths progression, a blend of two different times, old and new buildings forming one city. A solo voice from offstage begins a cadenza, echos of a busker in the old arts centre markets, which brings one intoA nostalgic melody from the flugel. A reflection on what used to be. The circle of fifths becomes a I - V progression, stuck on a continuous loop, illustrating a longing to remember, and to restore what was. The circle begins to move forward again with a solo trombone taking the stage, a reflection on the late night jam sessions from the Christchurch Jazz School on Poplar lane. A Sibelius inspired melody reminds that whilst the past is remembered, it cannot be revisited. The flugel melody is re-harmonized, remembering what made the old Christchurch great, and taking that with us to the new Christchurch. All the themes are revisited and brought together in a vibrant ending, a hybrid of different communities, restored and new landmarks, and a resolve to make the future their own.The city is thriving and more alive than ever.

On the Green - Denny's Laendler for Circus Band (2 Clarinets, 3 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, Euphonium BC and TC, Tuba, and Drums) by Sarah Houle, 2023/2024.Imagine a pleasant day on the green: perfect weather, blue skies with puffy white clouds, rolling along easily from one hole to the next in a little canopied golf cart. Lush green dotted with stately old oaks and surrounded by a beautiful state park is the scenery for this idyllic little laendler style piece. Characteristic of the heavy German influence of the area of inspiration, this piece has that old-time music feel as it lilts through each section. For a little interest, some of the phrases feature extensions, which diverge from the typical old-time music format of 8 measures. Fancy ornamentation accentuates some of the passages, creating slightly more robust moments. This version is for 10-piece circus band, which is a whittled down concert band that features mostly brass and clarinets.Enjoy On the Green - Denny's Laendler for Circus Band!

Aimed for intermediat brass bands, this piece starts with a gentle lilt (dance) which gather intensity until reaching a symphonic mazurka style dance in the middle. The second of my 'Peebles Beltane Festival Suite' is 'Liltin doon the glen' inspired from the line in the Festival Song. It's around the turn of the 20th century and the young lassies from the many farms and villages from the glens surrounding Peebles, leave their homes to come and enjoy the festival - 'To gather on the village green and hail the festal day' 'Lassies blooming fresh and fair cam liltin’ doon the glen' - they pause for breath now and again and as they join their friends along the way, the dance intensifies into a mazurka style. At 2:10 the fanfares herald the many compliments they get from 'Huntsman gallant and sheperds grey, doughtyand blythsome men' they encounter along the way. It culminates with all the lassies getherin' at the Mercat Cross. Festal Song Lyrics - https://tracscotland.org/wp-content/u... https://www.peeblesbeltanefestival.co...

Hora staccato is a virtuoso violin showpiece by GrigoraÈ™ Dinicu. It is a short, fast work in a Romanian hora style, and has become a favourite encore of violinists, especially in the 1932 arrangement by Jascha Heifetz. The character of the piece demands the notes be articulated in a crisp and clear manner so that the vibrancy of music comes out. Dinicu wrote it for his graduation in 1906 from the Bucharest Conservatory, and performed it at the ceremony. Subsequently it has been arranged for other combinations of instruments, notably trumpet and piano.

On the Green - Denny's Laendler for German Band (3 Clarinets, 3 Cornets, 3 Euphoniums in BC and TC, 2 Tubas, and Drums) by Sarah Houle, 2023.Imagine a pleasant day on the green: perfect weather, blue skies with puffy white clouds, rolling along easily from one hole to the next in a little canopied golf cart. Lush green dotted with stately old oaks and surrounded by a beautiful state park is the scenery for this idyllic little laendler style piece.Characteristic of the heavy German influence of the area of inspiration, this piece has that old-time music feel as it lilts through each section. For a little interest, some of the phrases feature extensions, which diverge from the typical old-time music format of 8 measures. Fancy ornamentation accentuates some of the passages, creating slightly more robust moments. This version is for German or Bavarian-style ensemble: 3 Clarinets, 3 Cornets, 3 Euphoniums in BC or TC, 2 Tubas and Drums.Enjoy On the Green - Denny's Laendler for German Band!
