First recorded for the album Out of Sight in 1965 but I made transcription based on the 1966 version from the album I Got You (I Feel Good).This transcription is playable on a 4/5/6-string bass with standard tuning. This transcription includes 3 parts : 1)both notation and TAB (3 pages); 2)notation-only (2 pages); 3)TAB-only (2 pages). I made these options available for any bassist with different preferences. I know we are unique, as I am a bassist as well. James Brown wrote this song based on a 12-bar blues (A section) with an additional 4-bar sax interlude and an 8-bar B section. I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas for 1 piano/4hands up to 6 pianos/24 hands!  This is a multi-level piano ensemble.  If you don’t have 12 pianists – not to worry! The secondo part for piano 6 is the most difficult part and can be used as an accompaniment part to whatever combination of pianists you do have. If you only have 2 pianists, you can use piano 6 as a duet. If the primo part for piano 6 is too difficult, you can use a primo part from another piano, but may need to switch octaves to make it all fit on one keyboard. If you don’t have the exact same percussion instruments that I do, feel free to substitute whatever you do have for the rhythms. It is also possible to add clapping, snapping, or tapping on the piano/keyboard to add the percussion rhythms. For the boomwhackers, you can use any ‘C,’ ‘D,’ or ‘G’ you have and the octave caps make it even more fun! SIX PIECES OF JOY AND MELANCHOLY is a collection of short pieces with a more melodic and in some cases rhythmic character. The pieces were composed individually for different occasions, but they work together somehow and offer the performer and the audience a roller-coaster sensation through the constant change of mood. Danceuphoria is the opening piece, an uneven, powerful dance which immediately creates an uplifting mood. Melodic Sorrow is a piece dedicated to the memory of my father, Konstantinos Nousis. It's one of the first pieces I wrote for guitar as a teenager. Here you can read an evolved version of that first piece which keeps the simplicity of the primary inspiration.Lifeness is an ode to life piece full of rich colors, melodies and harmonies. Meditation, originally written as the theme music for a Reiki Yoga YouTube channel, is a very slow and meditative piece with short melodic legato lines. Hope evokes warmer feelings. A simplistic piece based on natural harmonies that calms and soothes us.Finally, Cascading Waltz was chosen as the final piece, because it can be freely interpreted by any performer and gives the opportunity for diverse crescendos and accelerandos.The pieces can complement the repertoire of young students as well as professional guitarists who seek a modern yet melodic approach to the guitar.SIX PIECES OF JOY AND MELANCHOLY est une collection de courtes pièces au caractère plus mélodique et, dans certains cas, rythmique.
