Brass Ensemble Bass Trombone,Euphonium,Horn,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1297452 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by Shinya Ishida. 19th Century,Classical,Wedding. Score and Parts. 31 pages. BitNotes.jp #887509. Published by BitNotes.jp (A0.1297452). The Wedding March is a delightful composition by the German composer Felix Mendelssohn, originally conceived as part of the incidental music for William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream. This enchanting piece comes to life during the wedding scene, set on a magical night where fairies revel and four young lovers, along with the Fairy King and Queen, find themselves entangled in the mischief of a love potion, ultimately celebrating two joyous unions.Composed in 1842, this piece gained widespread recognition when it was performed alongside Wagner's Bridal Chorus at the wedding of Prince Friedrich of Prussia and Princess Victoria of the United Kingdom in 1858. Since then, it has remained a timeless classic and a staple in weddings and joyous celebrations worldwide. We have meticulously transcribed this iconic wedding composition for a brass ensemble featuring ten musicians (3 trumpets, 3 horns, 3 trombones, and 1 tuba). For those seeking to add an extra layer of grandeur to their performance, optional percussion instruments (cymbals and triangle) can be seamlessly incorporated. It's worth noting that the Bass Trombone part can be played on the Euphonium as well, offering flexibility to the ensemble. Given the piece's length and multiple repetitions, individual performers can consider omitting repeats or making cuts to suit the performance scene and endurance levels.Elevate your special occasion with this timeless masterpiece, the Wedding March, expertly arranged for brass ensemble. It's the perfect choice to add a touch of elegance and magic to your wedding or celebratory event.

Brass Ensemble Euphonium,Flugelhorn,Piccolo Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1107291 Composed by Julius Katterfeldt (1813-1886). Classical,Sacred. Score and parts. 42 pages. Albismusic #709953. Published by Albismusic (A0.1107291). Julius Katterfeldt was born in Wandsbek in 1813. Wandsbek was not yet part of Hamburg at that time. His father Johann Hinrich Katterfeldt was the organist at the famous Schnitger organ of Hamburg's main church St. Jakobi. He also gave his son first music lessons. Later he was a pupil of the famous Christian Heinrich Rinck in Darmstadt. Julius Katterfeldt was first organist at the church of St. Johannes in Eppendorf. In 1840, Katterfeldt was appointed by the Danish king to the post of cathedral organist in Schleswig. After the Schleswig-Holstein uprising (1848 to 1851) he had to give up his organist post at the cathedral. Friedrich von Reventlou (1797-1874) brought Katterfeldt to the monastery church in Preetz, where Renventlou was provost, because of the political quarrels over the county of Holstein. In Preetz he even had to take on sexton duties in addition to organ duties. After the war (Battle of Dybbøl/DK), Schleswig once again belonged to the Republic of Prussia. For this reason, the German Emperor had a new tower built for Schleswig Cathedral in 1864. It can be assumed that the church symphony by Julius Katterfeldt was composed for this purpose beforehand and was therefore later published by the renowned Berlin music publisher BOTE & BOCK. His Church Symphony Opus 18, for brassband and organ, is dedicated to the Prussian Emperor Wilhelm I. Katterfeldt’s Church Symphony is the first original symphonic work for the instrumentation organ and brass band. His son-in-law was the Schwerin cathedral organist George Hepworth (1825-1918). Through his contacts in England, some of J. Katterfeldt's organ works were published in the anthologies Organist's Quarterly Journal (editor, William Spark). this publication: ISMN 979-700-212-81-4 (including organscore!) conductor’s score: ISMN 979-700-212-81-0.

Overture “A Midsummer Night's Dream” Op. 21 for Brass Ensemble

Brass Ensemble Bass Trombone,Euphonium,Horn,Piccolo Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1292240 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by Shinya Ishida. 19th Century. Score and Parts. 19 pages. BitNotes.jp #882854. Published by BitNotes.jp (A0.1292240). The Overture A Midsummer Night's Dream is originally composed by the German composer Felix Mendelssohn, who was inspired by reading William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was initially created as a piano piece for duet, intended for enjoyment with his sister Fanny. Notably, Mendelssohn himself later arranged it for orchestra in 1826 when he was just 17 years old.Fast forward 16 years, this piece took an unconventional path to composition. It was commissioned by King Wilhelm IV of Prussia at the time, and the overture became part of a larger work known as Incidental Music, where it was accompanied by other pieces, apart from the overture. The Overture A Midsummer Night's Dream begins with four chords that evoke a gentle breeze, as if beckoning you into the world of fairies, in line with the folklore that claims that on the eve of Midsummer (Walpurgis Night), fairies and witches gather for revelry. It then transitions into the theme of the fairy's fluttering wings, followed by the music of the Fairy King's palace, the lovers' theme, and passages for clowns and hunting scenes. Finally, it returns to the fairies, dancing and disappearing as if carried away by the wind.We have arranged this enchanting piece for a brass ensemble, featuring ten players (3 trumpets, 3 horns, 3 trombones, and 1 tuba). The 1st Trumpet part includes an optional switch to Piccolo Trumpet, but this is purely optional and not mandatory to perform the arrangement.Additionally, please note that the 3rd Trombone part is intended for the Bass Trombone but can also be performed using Euphonium or Tenor Bass Trombone.
