Instrumental Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1349669 Composed by Michael Davis. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary,Video Game. Individual part. 14 pages. Michael Davis Music #934434. Published by Michael Davis Music (A0.1349669). Bankstanding: OSRS Lo-Fi Jams No. 1Bankstanding is for flexible instrumentation and flexible performance, allowing for variable difficulty. Notes from the composer:The OSRS Lo-Fi Jams series is inspired by my favorite game: Old School RuneScape. Each jam is inspired by something specific from OSRS. Lo-fi music aesthetics correspond to many of my favorite things about OSRS. It is filled with repetitive or meditative patterns, enjoyment can be experienced without perfection, there is ample opportunity for creative freedom, and there is far more depth to be discovered than the casual observer likely imagines is possible. The jams are meant to be fun for the performer and allow for creative freedom within the composition’s given restrictions. Imperfections are accepted. Prioritize enjoying your instrument and the music.Bankstanding is for flexible instrumentation but was composed with the solo alto saxophone in mind as the performing force. It may be performed on any instrument or instruments. Octave transposition to play in a comfortable range is encouraged. Repeats are performed as many times as desired by the performer. When performed by multiple musicians, each musician chooses their own repeat structure. Minimums and maximums for duration and instrumentation can be seen below, but it is highly recommended to stay close to either the minimum or suggested duration and instrumentation rather than the maximum. Articulations are performed at the discretion of the individual performer. Suggested articulations are provided by dashed slur lines. If desired, a performer may insert quarter rests to breathe. Rhythmic flexibility within the beat is encouraged but avoid disrupting the pulse.Possible Duration: 1 minute 19 seconds – 6 hoursSuggested Duration: 3 minutesPossible Instrumentation: 1 musician – 2000 musiciansSuggested Instrumentation: 1 musician.

Saxophone in Eb and piano - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q20909 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Wolfgang Birtel. This edition: Sheet music. Edition Schott - Single Edition. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q20909. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q20909).

RayThompsonMusic #948289. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1363966). Claude Debussy: Piano Preludes Bk.2 No.10 Canope arranged wind dectet/bassDebussy's Préludes are 24 pieces for solo piano, divided into two books of 12 preludes each. Unlike some notable collections of preludes from prior times, such as Chopin's Op. 28 preludes, or the preludes from Johann Sebastian Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, Debussy's do not follow a strict pattern of tonal centres. One of Debussy’s most mysterious and enigmatic pieces, is also one of his most prophetic. The entire piece unfolds in a hieratic, strangely distant atmosphere, engendering a sensation of infinite solitude reinforced by a cadence that is not an ending — we remain suspended in the void. Once again, Debussy has fused space and time.— Harry HalbreichThe meditative and gentle lines of this piece have the nobility and the stately form of the antique funerary urn* which serves as a symbol. * A Canopic Jar: used in sets of four by the ancient Egyptians as containers for the internal organs of embalmed bodies.I have arranged all of these preludes from both books:Book 1Danseuses de DelphesVoilesLes sons et le parfums…..Des pas sur le neige La fille aux cheveux de linLa Cathédral engloutieMinstrelsBk.2BruyèresGeneral LevineHommage à S.Pickwick EsqCanope

Phil Beaman #6501827. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.845258). This easy Instrumental Quartet arrangement of the old folk/spiritual draws its power and effectiveness from its pared down simplicity. It is reharmonized from other traditional versions and kept in strophic form. Every measure has the same rhythm - a quarter note followed by a dotted half note. Most of the time the pair of notes is the same pitch. There is plenty of time to figure out your next new note. There are no extra markings, just basic notes with a few accidentals. The beauty comes from the harmonic chords, so strive to listen for a good balance in your ensemble. This piece can be played majestic or meditative, depending on your mood and event needs. Grieg: Morning Mood from Peer Gynt Suite for Baritone Horn & Piano

(+)
Baritone Horn TC,Euphonium,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552855 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Instructional,Romantic Period,Sacred,Standards. Score and part. 17 pages. Jmsgu3 #3504695. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552855). Duration: ca. 4:00, Score: 9 pages, solo part: 3 pages, piano part: 4 pages. Super-famous instantly recognizable tune, not very difficult - suitable for a recital or church meditation.  Grieg Background In the first place, Edvard Grieg (1843 –1907) was a Norwegian composer as well as a concert pianist. As a matter of fact, most music historians consider him one of the foremost Romantic era composers. Consequently, his music is part of the international standard classical repertoire. Grieg moreover used Norwegian folk music in his own compositions.  Consequently, he ushered Norwegian music to transnational consciousness. Furthermore, he forged a national musical identity for Norway. It is important to realize that he did this in a manner similar to Jean Sibelius in Finland, and Bedřich Smetana in Bohemia. Legacy Grieg is especially celebrated in the city of Bergen. For example, the city has erected numerous statues depicting Grieg. Specifically, the city has named a concert hall (Grieg Hall), a music school (Grieg Academy) and a professional choir (Edvard Grieg Kor) after him. As a matter of fact, there is also a museum located at his former home in Troldhaugen. Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 (Op. 46) Grieg wrote incidental music for the purpose of illustrating a play by Ibsen known as Peer Gynt. The play includes, in particular, the famous selection entitled, In the Hall of the Mountain King. In this composition, Grieg indeed depicts the exploits of the scoundrel, Peer Gynt. In one famous episode, for example, Peer steals a bride at her wedding. For this reason, the people chase him, but soon Peer falls, thereupon striking his skull on a boulder. He wakens forthwith in a highland bounded by angry gnomes. Consequently, the music of In the Hall of the Mountain King represents the mad gnomes taunting Peer. Therefore, each time the theme repeats it gets louder and faster. In the end, Peer surprisingly escapes from the mountain. Holberg Suite and Misc. Summary It must be remembered that Grieg originally wrote his Holberg Suite for the piano. In other words, he only later arranged it for strings. Further, Grieg composed by and large many songs with lyrics by famous writers such as Heine, Goethe, Ibsen, Hans Christian Andersen, Rudyard Kipling, and others. On balance, Norwegian pianist Eva Knardahl recorded altogether Grieg’s whole piano catalog on LP in 1980. These recordings were released again on CD in 2006. In any event, Grieg himself performed and recorded the bulk of these pieces toward the end of his life.

In any event, Grieg himself performed and recorded the bulk of these pieces toward the end of his life.Register for free lifetime revisions and updates at www.jamesguthrie.com

Instrumental Solo,Oboe d'Amore,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549521 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Instructional,Romantic Period,Sacred,Standards. Score and individual part. 17 pages. Jmsgu3 #3504479. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549521). Duration: ca. 4:00, Score: 9 pages, solo part: 3 pages, piano part: 4 pages. Super-famous instantly recognizable tune, not very difficult - suitable for a recital or church meditation. Very effective on the Oboe d'Amore! Grieg Background In the first place, Edvard Grieg (1843 –1907) was a Norwegian composer as well as a concert pianist. As a matter of fact, most music historians consider him one of the foremost Romantic-era composers. Consequently, his music is part of the international standard classical repertoire. Grieg moreover used Norwegian folk music in his own compositions.  Consequently, he ushered Norwegian music to transnational consciousness. Furthermore, he forged a national musical identity for Norway. It is important to realize that he did this in a manner similar to Jean Sibelius in Finland, and BedÅ™ich Smetana in Bohemia. Legacy Grieg is especially celebrated in the city of Bergen. For example, the city has erected numerous statues depicting Grieg. Specifically, the city has named a concert hall (Grieg Hall), a music school (Grieg Academy), and a professional choir (Edvard Grieg Kor) after him. In this composition, Grieg depicts the exploits of the scoundrel, Peer Gynt. In one famous episode, for example, Peer steals a bride at her wedding. For this reason, the people chase him, but soon Peer falls, striking his skull on a boulder. String Quartet Cello,String Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1511060 Composed by Georg Goltermann. Arranged by Aaron Sinnett. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Romantic Period. 8 pages. Aaron Sinnett #1086276. Published by Aaron Sinnett (A0.1511060). Prayerfrom:Georg Goltermann's, Tone Pictures, Op. 101 This is No. 1 Prayer (In the original German: Tonbilder, Nr. 1 Gebet)This is a fantastic piece for a quiet moment. It makes it all the more meditative by removing the striking qualities of the piano with the softer, more subdued qualities of the cellos. The solo cello remains the same as in the original work. Three cellos have been cast as the accompanying instruments, which creates a true chamber-like feel. Unlike my duet arrangements of Goltermann's Nocturne in D minor or Mendelssohn's Song Without Words -- also for sale in this online store -- this quartet, as it were, makes an honest attempt at reaching the sublime.

Small Ensemble Piano Accompaniment,Piccolo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.983165 Composed by Craig Wadley. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards. Score and parts. 10 pages. Wadley Publications #3044195. Published by Wadley Publications (A0.983165). A beautiful lyric essay for piccolo (or flute) and piano utilizing nontraditional harmonies and modalities. While the technical requirements of the piece are of only intermediate difficulty, the demand for musical expression is high for both the soloist and accompanist. Trust is written as a musical meditation on Psalm 143, verses 1-11. These verses from the Bible underscore one of the basic (yet sometimes uncomfortable) truths of human existence: we need help. People often find it difficult to trust in anyone or anything other than themselves, but no matter how much we may desire complete independence and autonomy, human beings are simply not equipped to weather the storms life brings on our own. The difficulties of life can in fact make us feel isolated and deserted. Our culture’s celebration of strength and independence silently imply that we are weak if we are unable to stand alone, yet it is during troubling times, when we are totally incapable of moving forward on our own, that we find our greatest strength in embracing a helping hand.
