Small Ensemble Cello,Flute,Harp,High Voice,Viola - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976036 Composed by Lior Navok. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jewish,World. Score and parts. 44 pages. Lior Navok Music #4719303. Published by Lior Navok Music (A0.976036). SPRING CALLS - for Soprano, Flute, Viola, Cello and Harp (2006) DURATION: 10:30 Minutes TEXT: Canticles 2; 1-13 (also known as The Songs of Songs or Shir Hashirim LANGUAGE: Hebrew TEXT CHARACTERS: Latin PROGRAM NOTES: The composer writes about his work: Spring Calls for soprano, flute, viola, cello and harp is a setting of texts from the second chapter of Canticles (Shir Hashirim) book, known also as The Song of Songs. It is one of the five Megilot - sacred scrolls that are part of the Hebrew Bible. Canticles is mainly being read in Passover, the holiday of spring. Its theme is love and rebirth of love, symbolized by the spring. Usually, only one or two lines of Canticles texts are being set to music. However, I had an interest to create a sort of journey as well as a psychological journey of a woman who searches, awaits and discovers her love. The text parallels the awakening of love with the awakening of spring in a most vivid and colorful way. While choosing instrumentation and musical language to with work, the modal, archaic sound mixed with the new was in my vision. Therefore, one can hear colors of certain exotic and primeval instruments such as the sistrum - an ancient Egyptian percussion instrument, dated from 2500 B.C. used mostly for religious ceremonies. Spring Calls was written for Close Encounters With Music, Yehuda Hanani - artistic director. It was generously commissioned by Lola and Edwin Jaffe with deep appreciation to their support. Bells,Handbell,Handchime,Piano Accompaniment - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1358777 By Sharon Wilson. By African-American Spiritual, Chester G. Allen, Elisha Albright Hoffman, Fanny J. Crosby, Henri F. Hemy, John Bacchus Dykes, Reginald Heber, Robert Lowry, William H. Doane, and William J. Kirkpatrick. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Christian,Easter,Sacred,Traditional. 96 pages. Sharon Wilson #943238. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1358777). This collection contains 10 hymns and praise choruses arranged for a one octave, 13-note chromatic scale Handbell choir with Piano accompaniment. For each song, the Piano provides an introduction then the Handbells play the melody and occasional 2-part harmony. Most songs include an optional repeat and second ending in case a longer song is desired. For each song, there is a combined score with both instruments (Handbells and Piano) on a grand staff plus two separate scores for the Handbells (one in standard format with black and white notes and the second with color-coded notes). If the combined score is more than three pages, a separate Piano only score is also provided.A color-coded note chart is also provided for each song which shows the Handbell notes used as well as the number of times each note is played.  The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to ringers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the bells between all ringers. On the color-coded score, only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to distinguish (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. As a reminder for beginning ringers, all sharps and flats are displayed (shown in the key of C) on the color-coded score. As noted above, one of the Handbell scores for each song is color-coded for easier note reading for beginning ringers.  These separate color-coded scores use the Chroma-Notes™ Colored Music System. If you have a set of Handbells with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Handbells match this color scheme. The number of ringers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Note assignment suggestions are included for each song and range from 4 to 8 ringers. These familiar hymns and choruses are perfect for small groups and especially beginning ringers. Most songs can be performed with as few as 5 people (4 ringers and 1 piano player). The Piano accompaniment is written for an intermediate player.Permission is granted to make as many copies as needed for one family, church, school, or other performing group. Please purchase additional copies for multiple groups or organizations. Each song is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. Song titles included in this collection:   Be Still and KnowFaith of Our FathersHoly, Holy, HolyKum Ba YahPraise Him! Baroque,Classical,Standards,Traditional,Wedding. Score and parts. 11 pages. Jmsgu3 #702700. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1098858). Score: 6 pages. Duration: ca. 2:30 The famous Pachelbel Canon arranged for Alto Clarinet & Harp. A great choice for weddings & receptions! Pachelbel's Canon Pachelbel's Canon is, in fact, the traditional title for a composition by the German composer Johann Pachelbel. Other names for the work include namely: Canon and Gigue for 3 violins and basso continuo, Canon and Gigue in D, and of course Canon in D. We do not know when or why in particular it was written. The oldest copy is surprisingly from the 19th century. It is important to realize that it was a common routine for organists to practice improvisation on the chord progression underlying the canon. Pachelbel originally scored the Canon notably for three violins and continuo. He also in fact paired the Canon with a gigue. The movements are homotonal, to clarify, both are in the key of D major. History In due time, Pachelbel's Canon went out of style and remained in virtual oblivion for centuries. The Jean-François Paillard chamber orchestra, however, recorded an arrangement of it in 1968. As a result, it gained approval. Many ensembles began likewise to record the piece in the 1970s and by the 1980s became ubiquitous as background music. From the 1970s to the early 2000s, pop songs correspondingly used elements of the piece. The chord progression, in particular, was used this way. Also, since the 1980s, it has been not only wildly popular for weddings, but also for funeral ceremonies in the USA and Europe. Pachelbel Background Johann Pachelbel (1653 –1706) was a German composer, as well as an organist. He was furthermore instrumental in bringing the south German organ school to its apex. He wrote a large body of music, both sacred and, equally important, secular. In particular, he uniquely helped develop the chorale prelude and fugue. For this, he has, in fact, earned a rightful place in the company of the most significant composers of the mid-Baroque period. Works Pachelbel's music was certainly popular. With this in mind, he also consequently had many pupils. His music expressly developed into a model for south German composers. Nowadays, Pachelbel is most famous, particularly for the Canon in D, as well as the F minor Chaconne, the Toccata in E minor, and of course the Hexachordum Apollinis, a set of variations for the keyboard. Influences Johann Jakob Froberger and Johann Caspar Kerll were south German composers who significantly influenced Pachelbel. Furthermore, he was especially influenced by Italians such as Frescobaldi and Poglietti. He frequently preferred an articulate, simple contrapuntal style that highlighted clarity. His music is markedly less extravagant and harmonically adventurous than that of Dieterich Buxtehude. However, as a point often overlooked, like Buxtehude, Pachelbel experimented with different instrumental combinations in his chamber music. Legacy All in all, Pachelbel was most famous as a composer for the keyboard. He composed over two hundred pieces specifically for the instrument. Pachelbel was also surprisingly a prolific composer of vocal music. All in all, about a hundred vocal works survive, including 40 or so large-scale works.

Instrumental Duet Harp,Instrumental Duet,Soprano Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1098478 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Classical,Standards,Traditional,Wedding. Score and parts. 11 pages. Jmsgu3 #702335. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1098478). Score: 6 pages. Duration: ca. 2:30. The famous Pachelbel Canon arranged for Soprano Sax & Harp. Baritone Horn TC,Cello,Harp,Tenor Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.1071788 Composed by James Orcutt. Christian,Jewish,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Accompaniment. Duration 112. James Orcutt #4111663. Published by James Orcutt (A0.1071788). Hallelujah, Yeshua is a 1:45. This will be the initial song on a series of pieces praising Yeshua appearing on a dvd set or album. (Yeshua Adonai will be part of the dvd). This is a worshipful song of harp and cello. The cello fills in for the vocal part. A solo voice or the whole church family of Christian and Jewish brethren alike. The Christian roots in Judaism are always to be remembered and cherished and honored! The short, almost choppy style verses give way to the flowing melodic texture of the Chorus. May Jesus Christ be praised! As a seminary graduate, the utmost is put into each song for the best of Biblical theology I know to date. As the Lord keeps teaching and illuminating more about Himself, I'm certain the lyrics and songs will become even better than what they are presently. The Spirit of God enabled me to write all the compositions, and they are SPLENDID right now! All songs are From the Lord, By the Spirit of God, and To the praise of the Lord Jesus! Amen!!! :). OOOH...no piece of music is ever performed quite the same twice. If you wish, be creative and open the piece up...add other instruments as the Lord leads. Turn the mp3 off and expand the sheet music as the Spirit of God sees fit to take you. The sheet music is only the germ of the idea, right? Let the musicians go NUTS, if they wish...most musicians are better than halfway down that path already. LOL OR, simply stick w/what's on the mp3 and sheet music and let that be that. Jim Orcutt.

Small Ensemble Boomwhackers,Piano Accompaniment - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.569886 By Sharon Wilson. By Various. Arranged by Sharon Wilson Music. Children,Christmas,Folk,Sacred,Traditional. Score and parts. 77 pages. Sharon Wilson #6609343. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.569886). This collection contains 10 familiar Christmas carols arranged for a one octave, 13-note chromatic scale Boomwhackers® choir with Piano accompaniment. For each song, the Piano provides an introduction then the Boomwhackers® play the melody and occasional 2-part harmony. Each song also includes an optional repeat and final ending in case a longer song is desired. For each song, there is a combined score with both instruments (Boomwhackers® and Piano) on a grand staff plus a separate color-coded score for the Boomwhackers®. The color-coded Boomwhackers® score uses the Chroma-Notes™ Colored Music System. If you have a set of tubes with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Boomwhackers® match this color scheme. A color-coded note chart is also provided for each song which shows the Boomwhackers® notes used as well as the number of times each note is played. The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to whackers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the tubes between all whackers. The color-coded scores are enlarged so the colors are easier to distinguish and all sharps and flats are displayed (shown in the key of C) as reminders for beginning musicians. Also, only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to see. The number of whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Note assignment suggestions are included for each song and range from 4 to 8 whackers. These familiar Christmas carols are perfect for small groups and especially beginning musicians. Most songs can be performed with as few as 5 people (4 whackers and 1 piano player). The Piano accompaniment is written for an intermediate player. Other suggestions and uses: * use multiple sets of Boomwhackers® to amplify the sound and allow more people to enjoy whacking the tubes* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, just to name a few Permission is granted to make up to 10 copies of each score.
