Flute Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute,Bass Flute,Piccolo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1517525 Composed by Public Domain. Arranged by Phyllis Avidan Louke. Children,Christmas,Hanukkah,Holiday,Jewish. 26 pages. Louke Publishing #1091685. Published by Louke Publishing (A0.1517525). Two Songs for Hanukah: Oh Hanukah and The Dreidel Song (I Have a Little Dreidel)Program Notes: Oh Hanukah is a popular modern English Hanukah song arranged by Phyllis Avidan Louke. This upbeat playful children's song has lyrics about dancing the Hora (a circle dance), playing with dreidels (spinning tops), eating latkes (potato pancakes), lighting the candles on a menorah, and singing songs. Oh Hanukah was written by Mordkhe (Mark) Rivesman and first published in 1912 song anthology by Susman Kiselgof. The Dreidel Song (also known as “I Have a Little Dreidel”) is a children’s Hanukah song about making and playing with a dreidel (spinning top). It is attributed to S.E. Goldfarb (for the English version) and Mikhl Gelbart for the Hebrew version. This flute choir arrangement is scored for piccolo, 3 flutes, alto flute (alternate c-flute part included), and bass flute, and optional contrabass flute. Level: 2+ to 3+ Performance Time: 4 minutesAbout the Arranger: Phyllis Avidan Louke is a flutist and award-winning composer and arranger with more than 70 published pieces to her credit. A list of other Sheet Music Plus arrangements can be found at https://www.phyllislouke.com/compositions/digital-downloads-smp-publications/ Oh HanukahOh Hanukah, Oh Hanukah! Come light the menorah.Let's have a party. We'll all dance the horah. Gather around the table, We'll give you a treat.Dreidels to play with, And latkas to eat. And while we are playing, the candles are burning low.One for each night, they shed a sweet lightTo remind us of days long ago. One for each night, they shed a sweet lightTo remind us of days long ago. The Dreidel SongI have a little dreidel, I made it out of clay,And when it's dry and ready, then dreidel I shall play. O dreidel dreidel dreidel, I made it out of clay,And when it’s dry and ready, Then dreidel I shall play. It has a lovely body with legs so short and thin,And when it is all tired, it drops and then I win. Oh, dreidel, dreidel, dreidel, With legs so short and thin. And when it is all tired, It drops and then I win.

Arranged by Alan Saldaña-Silva. 19th Century,Christian,Contest,Festival,Romantic Period,Sacred. 7 pages. Alan Saldaña-Silva #1026758. Published by Alan Saldaña-Silva (A0.1446985). For Unison Men's Choir (or Solo Baritone) & Organ (or Piano). These two sacred songs were separate stand alone works, they have been grouped and compiled for the use of solo singing or for men's choir with not enough forces for a 3 or 4 part work. These sacred songs are quite wonderful and easy to learn as well they can be employed for offertory or communion during the regular church service or as anthem for the evening service.

"How Can I Keep from Singing" for 8-note C major diatonic scale Tongue Drum
Hand Drum,Handpan,Instrumental Solo,Steel Pan - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.5698…

Hand Drum,Handpan,Instrumental Solo,Steel Pan - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.569896 By Sharon Wilson. By Robert Lowry. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Folk,Praise & Worship,Romantic Period,Sacred,Traditional. Individual part. 10 pages. Sharon Wilson #6642173. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.569896). This sheet music is notated for C major diatonic scale Tongue Drums (suitable for any 8, 11, or 13-note drum in the key of C). This hymn arrangement can be performed as a solo, as rhythmic chord accompaniment for singing, or as a duet. Four separate scores are provided for maximum flexibility. Whether beginner or experienced musician, these scores can be used in numerous ways from solo playing to playing with a partner or as a group. A note and chord reference chart is included as well as a rhythm pattern chart. Descriptions, suggestions, and uses for each score and chart are detailed on the introduction page and summarized below:Melody ScoreThis score can be played as a solo with or without singing along. Those new to reading standard music notation as well as those already familiar with music notation will find the numbers above the staff helpful. These numbers correspond to the numbers on the Tongue Drum. Lyrics appear below the staff for sing along enjoyment. Harmony ScoreThis score can be used in conjunction with the Melody Score to form a duet by providing the accompaniment (harmony) while someone plays or sings the melody. Note numbers below the staff corresponding to the numbers on the drum. Chord names are shown above the staff for playing a rhythmic accompaniment in place of the harmony accompaniment shown. The chord names can also be used for ensemble playing with other instruments (such as a Ukulele or Guitar).Grand StaffThe Grand Staff score combines the Melody Score with the Harmony Score. This score provides a visual overview of how the two scores line up and is helpful for a director or teacher using this set of scores in a group setting. If playing with a partner (a duet), this score may be easier to use since you both can see what the other person is playing. This score includes note numbers above the melody staff and below the harmony staff corresponding to the numbers on the drum; chord names shown above the harmony staff for ensemble playing with other instruments or for using a rhythmic chord accompaniment; and lyrics between the staves for sing along enjoyment. Advanced Solo ScoreThe Advanced Solo score includes harmony notes along with the melody notes to create a fuller sounding solo which can be played with or without singing along. Numbers corresponding to the numbers on the Tongue Drum are included above the staff.Note and Chord ChartThis chart consists of two separate staff rows. The first staff shows the notes used for the melody. The second staff shows the notes in each chord used in this song. Any combination of the notes within a given chord can be played using one of the rhythm patterns. Rhythm ChartThis chart shows four rhythm patterns that can be used as an accompaniment for the melody. Using the Harmony Score or the Grand Staff, follow the chord names to play notes from the given chord using one of the rhythm patterns. This arrangement is one of the 10 songs in the collection Hymn Meditations for 8-note C major diatonic scale Tongue Drums (A collection of 10 Solos and Duets).Visit Sharon Wilson's website: www.SharonWilsonMusic.comSubscribe to her YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/user/SharonWilsonMusic

Folk Songs For Classical Guitar - Volume 29 (Songs 757-783)

Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1163847 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 46 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #764199. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1163847). This is the twenty-ninth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all  volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view.Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 29 (Songs 757-783)Sally BrownSally GraySamuel Hooser’s HymnSandySantianaScarborough Fair 1Scarborough Fair 2 (singing together version)Scraping Up Sand In The Bottom Of The SeaSearching for LambsSeasons of the Year (the)Second Britford CarolSee Amid the Winter’s SnowSeeds of Love (the)Servant of Rosemary Lane (the)Servingman and the Husbandman (the)Seven Virgins (the)Seventeen Come SundayShaker March No 20Shaker Solemn Song 2 (A)Shaker Solemn Song 12Shaker Turning Shuffle Tune No. 5She’s like the SwallowSheepcrook and Black DogSheep-shearing SongShepherd and his dog (the)Shepherd’s Song (the)Shepherds Arise.

We invite teachers to use The Singing Double Bass as they see fit, mixing and matching sections and songs to give a balanced and enjoyable combination of singing, playing an accompaniment, playing the melody, rhythm work, composition and playing duets. The book enables pupils, teachers and parents to make a successful start with the chosen instrument. When the book has been completed, The Singing Double Bassist will have developed a clear understanding of the function of notation, an ear that can hear tuning and two parts and also be able to enjoy more dissonance as well as pure harmony. The Singing Double Bassist should be well on the way to becoming a ‘Complete Instrumentalist’, which is, coincidentally, the name of the book that follows this one!Jane Cutler Director of DaCapo MusicYou can find more DaCapo pieces for young instrumentalists at DaCapo Music Shop

Instrumental Solo,Piano,Piccolo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549347 By Barry Manilow. By Bruce Johnston. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Contemporary,Rock. Score and individual part. 8 pages. Jmsgu3 #3486727. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549347). Duration: ca. 3:00, score: 5 pages, solo part: 1 page, piano part: 2 pages.Very famous song suitable for church, recital or nightclub. I Write the Songs is a popular song written by Bruce Johnston in 1975 and made famous by Barry Manilow. Manilow's version reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in January 1976[2] after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975.[3] It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977.[3] Billboard ranked it as the No. 13 song of 1976.[4]The original version was recorded by The Captain & Tennille, who worked with Johnston in the early 1970s with The Beach Boys. It appears on their 1975 album, Love Will Keep Us Together. The first release of I Write the Songs as a single was by then teen-idol David Cassidy from his 1975 solo album The Higher They Climb, which was also produced by Bruce Johnston. Cassidy's version reached #11 on the UK Singles Chart in August of that year.[5]Johnston has stated that, for him, the I in the song is God,[2] and that songs come from the spirit of creativity in all of us. He has said that the song is not about his Beach Boys bandmate Brian Wilson.[6]Manilow was initially reluctant to record the song, stating in his autobiography Sweet Life: The problem with the song was that if you didn't listen carefully to the lyric, you would think that the singer was singing about himself. It could be misinterpreted as a monumental ego trip.[3] After persuasion by Clive Davis, then president of Arista Records, Manilow recorded the song, and his version of I Write the Songs was the first single taken from the album Tryin' to Get the Feeling. It first charted on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 1975, reaching the top of the chart nine weeks later, on January 17, 1976. Wikipedia

Arranged by Rob Bushnell. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk,Multicultural,Romantic Period,World. Brass Band. 71 pages. RBMusic #4580667. Published by RBMusic (A0.752355). Béla Viktor János Bartók is considered to be one of Hungary’s greatest composers (along with Franz Liszt), and is regarded as one of the most important writers of the 20th century. His music tends to reflect two trends that helped to change the sound of music in the 20th century: the breakdown of diatonic harmony; and a renewed interest in using nationalism as a source for musical inspiration. For this latter trend, Bartók turned to Hungarian folk music and become a key figure in influencing the modern use of indigenous music and techniques. In 1904, whilst at a resort in Hungary, Bartók overheard his nanny, Lidi Dósa, singing Transylvanian folk songs, which sparked a lifelong devotion to folk music. Further influenced by Strauss, Bartók started to write music based on folk songs, including his Romanian Folk Dances (Op. 8a, Sz. 43, BB 56) for piano in 1910, made up of two folk songs. The first of these dances was later orchestrated by the composer for orchestra and named Romanian Dance (Sz. 47, BB 61) and it is this piece that is available here. This arrangement is for the UK-style brass band. A recording of the original orchestral piece can be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuQSdNjFdrY. Sullivan: The Lost Chord for Baritone Horn & Piano
Baritone Horn TC,Euphonium,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552854 Compos…

Baritone Horn TC,Euphonium,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552854 Composed by Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Instructional,Romantic Period,Sacred,Standards. Score and part. 15 pages. Jmsgu3 #3497277. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552854). Score: 10 pages, solo part: 2 pages, piano part: 3 pages. Duration: 4:25. Not difficult, but requires sensitivity & dynamic control. Suitable for recitals, church meditations, or school programs. School Years First of all, Sullivan attended music school at the Royal Academy of Music. Because Sullivan was so talented, the Academy awarded him the Mendelssohn Scholarship for two years in a row. He, therefore, studied with John Goss, who studied with Thomas Atwood, who in turn studied with Mozart. Sullivan similarly studied the piano at the Academy with Arthur O’Leary. Study Abroad During his first year, he also earned money by singing solos in the Chapel Royal. At the end of his second year, the Academy consequently continued his scholarship and sent him to study at the Leipzig Conservatoire. He certainly studied composition, and likewise counterpoint and piano. Hence, during his final year in Leipzig, Sullivan finally completed his graduation composition project: Incidental Music for Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Association with Gilbert It seems like Sullivan built the bulk of his composing career largely in the 1860s. As a result, he became famous for his incidental music for the Tempest and his Irish Symphony. He, therefore, began collaborating with the poet W. S. Gilbert in the 1870s. Rather than focus on serious opera, Gilbert and Sullivan, in contrast, concentrated on comic opera such as H. M. S. Pinafore, the Pirates of Penzance, and the Mikado. Therefore, certainly as a result of his education and experience, Sullivan composed a total of 24 operas, 11 symphonic works, 10 choral pieces. Even more, he wrote a large number of noteworthy hymns such as Onward Christian Soldiers. Lost Chord The general style of his music is maybe similar to Mendelssohn, Schumann, and perhaps Liszt. It seems like Sullivan was fond of writing distinct melodies for each character in his operettas. His melodies combine together as the characters did. Furthermore, he was a master orchestrator, and therefore played the flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone fluently. The Lost Chord Sullivan wrote his most noteworthy song the Lost Chord in 1877. As a result, it was a great success and was certainly performed all over the world by a variety of singers such as Enrico Caruso. Because Sullivan was the most famous composer in England, the Lost Chord became the most famous of all British or American songs of the 1870s and 1890s. Consequently, in 1888 Thomas Edison recorded The Lost Chord for the phonograph. It was one of the first songs ever recorded. Furthermore, Queen Victoria knighted Sullivan in 1883.  Â

This arrangement is one of the 10 songs in the collection Hymns of Faith for 8-note C major diatonic scale Tongue Drums (A collection of 10 Solos and Duets).Visit Sharon Wilson's website: www.SharonWilsonMusic.comSubscribe to her YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/user/SharonWilsonMusic
