Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1133721 By Various. By Anonymous, Claude Gervaise, Claudin de Sermisy, Erasmus Widmann, Giorgio Mainerio, Henry VIII, Juan Del Encina, Michael Praetorius, Pierre Attaignant, Pierre Phalese, Thoinot Arbeau, Tielman Susato, and William Cornysh. Arranged by Alastair Lodge. Early Music,Folk,Historic,Medieval,Renaissance. 50 pages. Wold Meridian #733832. Published by Wold Meridian (A0.1133721). This is a companion to my earlier volume Chording to the Dance Masters which presented 44 of my favourite Renaissance Dance band tunes and arranged them as a single melody line with chords derived from the original harmony lines. In this volume I have reunited 22 of the pieces with the lower parts in the score, so that with more collaborators, the fullness of the original arrangement can be heard. The chords are still present, so if the ensemble is short handed, and lines are missing, the arrangements will still work. What is more, by contrasting the melody and chords with the full scoring, it should be possible to work some light and shade into performances.  You can hear all the pieces and their chords on YouTube together with contemporary art and historical background material:https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYRWH2nycMkMoIoEYEMVPa_EXY6NVDpNSAs a help to those less confident in playing harmony lines, I have provided links to playlists of videos online for each part of each piece. You will hear the selected line on its own with chords and percussion, with the melody line added on repeats. The final repeat includes the other harmony lines, but the featured line is slightly louder in the mix. The performance starts with a percussion beat introduction to set the tempo.Who were the Publishers and the Dance Masters? What did they do? Sometime around the 1500s, the popularity of dance music exploded in Europe. Dance Masters were collecting chansons and dance tunes from courts and rural parts and were teaching these to new audiences, spreading their arrangements and reflecting the performance styles of the areas from which they had collected the tunes. Publishers were able to take these tunes that were becoming known across the regions and nations and spread them even more widely, thanks to technological innovations in music printing which made it quicker and therefore cheaper to produce collections of these dances in four or more parts. These publishers were often highly accomplished composers in their own right, who were both able to provide distinctive harmony lines and compose new tunes in the style of their sources, feeding the courts with enduring tunes. Composers and printers of this time would often use note values that are double the length of those we would be used to seeing today, and so to make this version more readable, breves have become semibreves or whole notes, semibreves have become minims or half notes and so on. Working with this publication For those just starting out in Early Music, the volume is an ideal introduction, since the ensemble can build from a soloist with accompaniment with the chords alone, and parts can be added in as additional musicians become available. Instrumentation for these pieces was not specified in the original prints. The range of each part is quite limited, and though the harmonies may seem strange at times, key signatures are kind to the less experienced musician. If enthusiasm takes hold, then reproductions of early music instruments are sold by some very talented makers, as well as coming up on auction sites. Otherwise, it is possible to put together a fairly convincing ensemble with recorders, violins, a cello and mandolins, bouzoukis, flutes or guitars and gradually introduce the authentic instruments as they become available.

Silent Night (Bb) (String Quintet - 2 Violins, 1 Viola, 2 Cellos)

String Ensemble,String Quintet Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813972 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Instructional,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 7 pages. Regis Bookshar #6635865. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813972). String Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of Silent Night, or in German, Stille Nacht, would be a wonderful addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts, recitals, and, especially, church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (7 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Silent Night is probably the most popular Christmas carol ever written. It was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr and was first performed on Christmas Eve at St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a small village in present-day Austria. A young Catholic priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had written the poem, Stille Nacht, in 1816 and had gone to Oberndorf in 1817. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. On Christmas Eve, 1818, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for that night's mass, after river flooding had possibly damaged the church organ. The church was eventually destroyed by repeated flooding and has since been replaced with the Silent-Night-Chapel.According to Gruber, Karl Mauracher, an organ builder who serviced the instrument at the Oberndorf church, was enamored with the song, and took the composition home with him to the Ziller Valley in Tyrol, Austria. From there, two traveling families of folk singers, the Strassers and the Rainers, included the tune in their shows. The Rainers were already singing it around Christmas, 1819, and once performed it for an audience that included Franz I of Austria and Alexander I of Russia. They also gave the first performance of the song in the United States in New York City in 1839. By the 1840's, the song was well known and was reported to be a favorite of Frederick William IV of Prussia. During this period, the melody changed slightly to become the version that is commonly heard today. The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber's original which has a moderate tempo. The song has been translated into about 140 languages and has been recorded by many singers across many music genres. The version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935, has sold over 10 million copies as a single. In this arrangement of Silent Night, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic form of this familiar Christmas carol, but has also included a descant during the third verse. Also, in addition to this version for a String Quintet, consisting of 2 Violins, 1 Viola and 2 Violoncellos, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There are Quintets and Octets readily available for purchase. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Silent Night will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Also, in addition to this version for a Woodwind Octet, consisting of 3 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 2 Clarinets, 1 French Horn and 1 Bassoon, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles.

I wrote an arrangement of this song for my small class of mixed middle school instrumentalists to introduce them to one of my favorite artists, give my flute player and trumpet player a chance to shine, and give my strings an opportunity to work on playing harmonies in tune (with a little melody of their own). The arrangement also calls for guitar accompaniment, originally provided by one of our graduating senior guitarists. Piano Quintet,String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Piano,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.750110 Composed by Bradley Sowash. Rock,Standards. Score and parts. 95 pages. Bradley Sowash #23145. Published by Bradley Sowash (A0.750110). The sound of the 60’s rock a la I’m a Believer on strings – too cool! Watch/Listen:http://youtu.be/4ymcMUO2kUI About Creative Strings Eye players read music. Ear players improvise. Today’s well-rounded students need instruction in both. Creative Strings is a collection of works designed to lead beginning to advanced students through their first experiences as improvisers. Each piece is composed of four parts that can roughly be described as melody, harmony, accompaniment and bass line. All four parts are available for the violin, viola and cello. The bass has one part. An optional piano part is also provided. The the ideal distribution is Vln. 1, Vln. 2, Vla. 3, and Cello 4. However the intentionally redundant parts allow for flexible combinations of instruments. If for example, no violas or cellos are available, a violin choir could still cover the parts. The same would hold true for a non-traditional quartet such as 3 violins and 1 cello or any other grouping. Overlapping parts can also be used to equalize an unbalanced orchestra such as 20 violins and 1 viola player by having some of the violins double the viola part.

Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565438 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Folk,Instructional,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score and parts. 11 pages. Sharon Wilson #4357203. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565438). This sheet music is notated for 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instruments with Handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). This arrangement includes two verses. The first verse is easy with fewer notes. The second verse is intermediate and expands the melody by adding more notes. If you want to learn (practice) only the easy verse, an optional ending is provided or it can be skipped to perform the two verses together. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instrument parts on a grand staff plus a separate score for each instrument. A note and chord chart is also provided to aid in the learning and teaching of this song. Lyrics are provided as well for sing along enjoyment.  Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, this song is playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel (though the color coding may not match). This set of scores uses colored noteheads corresponding to the Boomwhackers® color scheme. If you have a set of bells or tubes with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the instruments match the Boomwhackers® color scheme. This set of scores is also available (separate purchase) in black and white which will print clearer if you do not have access to a color printer.Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Note assignment suggestions are included.Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers® * form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® (this would amplify the sound and allow more people to participate)* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, children’s ministriesThis song is one of the 20 arrangements in the collection Folk Songs for 13-note Bells and Boomwhackers® (with Color Coded Notes), VOL. 2. Acoustic Guitar,Electric Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488812 Composed by Brian Streckfus. Instructional,Singer/Songwriter. Educational Exercises. 12 pages. Brian Streckfus #1065662. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1488812). Pages: 12Keys: 1. C Major2. A minor3. A Harmonic minor4. A minor (Jazz 7ths)5. A minor (Extreme Jazz extensions)6. The seven modesThis collection of PDFs is something I am very proud of and I believe it has been my most well recieved PDF upload on the internet. Finding chord charts that simply list chords are a dime a dozen, and can be found anywhere. It is much rarer for a chord sheet to try to explain what order they go in and even rarer still to find it for guitar. It's difficult because it is an art, and of course there really is no wrong answers in composing (especially on Halloween I always joke). I personally haven't seen anything else quite like this on the internet. Many music theory books seem abstract and impractical whereas these chord charts show music theory applied to guitar. The aim is to memorize them so that you can understand them in all 12 keys. These chord progressions are of course a great composition aid. Tips:1. I find sheets like this to be excellent practice to play by ear. If the music is relaxing I play blue chords, if it is intense I play red chords. Once you get into the groove, and you know no one is changing key, it's as simple as that.2. When playing by ear, even if you get the exact chord wrong but you still get the correct color, it will still sound like you harmonizing the song correctly!!! See chords categorized by purpose rather than name will elegantly simplify how music actually works.3. The reason why we study the roman numerals is to be able to think about all of music in a single keyless key to allow for optimum clarity.4. One issue that needs to be fixed: what to do about the 11 other keys? One easy and quick fix is to use a guitar capo (or downtune) to get to all the other keys. I can't imagine giving out 56 pages of chord progressions to each of my students, it's way too much. Instead, I teach strategies on how these work in all 12 keys. 5. Order = Blue, Yellow, Red, Blue for stereotypical chord progressions that truely progress. These is such a thing called a chord succession where it is not the previous order. Again, try not to see music in terms of right and wrong. Everything expresses an emotion. For example, if there is a song devoid of red chords, it will result in more peaceful music. Lots of red would be great for metal music, etc...Social Media:https://allmylinks.com/brianstreckfushttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100078682133421https://www.patreon.com/brianstreckfushttps://www.brianstreckfus.comhttps://www.facebook.com/classicalguitar2015/https://twitter.com/BrianStreckfushttps://www.instagram.com/brianstreckfus/https://www.youtube.com/user/woodenboxengineerhttps://www.facebook.com/Doppelganger-106026062029620/https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-streckfus-9b334a92/https://steemit.com/@boxengineerhttps://d.tube/#!/c/brian0streckfus0guitarhttps://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/en-US/Search.aspx?query=Brian%2BStreckfushttps://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/brian-streckfus-sheet-music/3027331https://belairmusicstudios.com/product/brian-streckfus/https://soundcloud.com/streckfusclassicalguitar.

Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.521551 By Kellie Pickler. By Joan Javits, Phil Springer, and Tony Springer. Arranged by Sherry Lewis Publishing. Christmas. 8 pages. Sherry Lewis Publishing #6201943. Published by Sherry Lewis Publishing (A0.521551). SANTA BABY String Duo, Early Intermediate Level for violin and cello Score: YES Parts: 3 pages Time: 3'10 MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through www.baysbest.com/smp-arrangeme/ and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups. AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations. ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles.  Sherry Lewis is a professional arranger and musician residing in Northern California. WHEN THE THAMES FROZE - Smith & Burrows - 3 GUITARS or LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic GuitarDerek Hasted writes This is an utterly charming piece, and if you’ve yet to enjoy the Official Smith & Burrows video, head over to YouTube! My arrangement captures the elegant simplicity of the original, and although there’s no brass band or children’s choir for the last verse, this works fantastically as a Christmas concert piece.Guitars 2 and 3 are all first position using well-known notes and chords, and the bass-line would suit a beginner with just a little experience. Guitar 3 is also in bass clef if you have a deeper instrument. In a large ensemble either or both Guitar 3 parts can be played.Guitar 1 works nicely in 5th position for much of the piece, though any systematic fingering will be just fine.I hope you enjoy playing this very special piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

The accompanying score and a choral bundle are also available from this website. The composer writes: 'On That Cross' is a powerful reflection on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I came up with the lyrics at around 3am in the morning of 3rd December 2014 sitting at a desk in room 703 of the De Syloia Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Often I find that my periods of working abroad give me the space to think of things in new ways. This song is a good example of that. One look at the first page of the score of 'On That Cross' is all you need to realize that this is not a case of a choir singing with a piano accompaniment. I put the piano part above the choir in order to dispel that misconception. So if it's not that, what is it? I wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to approach a subject from two completely different points of view, without either point of view being compromised by the other, and yet the result can nevertheless be a beautiful synergy. That is what the pianist and the choir are doing here. Each is meditating upon the cross of Christ, but from two totally unrelated points of view and yet somehow combining in a way that is almost hypnotically beautifully. There is little obvious relationship between the choir's and the piano's music; and yet each is reconciled to the other ... and there's a very good reason why I wanted the music to speak of such reconciliation. In late 2014 people in Iraq were being beheaded, crucified and generally killed in the most brutal and sadistic manner possible. Their only ‘crime’ was to dare to call themselves Christians. You can say what you like but in my book nobody has the right to tell anybody else what they should believe, much less murder them on religious grounds. The thing that incensed me almost to the point of incandescence was that the perpetrators of this unspeakable evil dared to justify their actions by claiming that they were acting on behalf of their god. So in such frame of mind I started to write the lyrics to 'On That Cross'.The first words that came into my mind were “Oh men who dare to call on gods to justify your hatred – of this be sure …†and I wanted to follow that with threats of eternal damnation, torture in hellfire and so on. Except that the words that flowed out of my fingers onto my computer screen were not like that at all. “Of this be sure – I love you still, my cross your salvation from all the sin of man.â€It doesn’t get much more powerful than that. I may be incapable of loving the people of ISIS, ISIL, DAESH or whatever one calls them, but my God isn’t. He created them, he sent his Son to die for them … and he is even now ready to save them, as he is you and me. That’s grace.A small group of us sang this at a Good Friday united service in 2016. We sang it unannounced, at the end of the service, when one would have expected people to start getting up from their seats and leaving the church. Nobody did. ViolinVagabond Music #810792. Published by ViolinVagabond Music (A0.1213599). Here's a chart designed for the last-minute gigging musician, by the last-minute gigging musician. Indeed, I got called in to sub on a solo violin wedding gig on less than 24 hours' notice, and found this song right at the top of the list. Having not played or listened to it in... a while, I decided to display some semblance of due dilligence and write out a version that would work in the range of a solo instrumental violin. Then, and don't ask me where this sudden magnanimous streak came from, I decided to spin up the same chart with lyrics and chord diagrams just in case I ever needed to play it with a vocalist.Out of the goodness of my heart, ALL of the above is available to you for the low low price of (insert current minimum price for SMP chart). While I was tabbing this out from the perspective of a violinist, the range is pretty universal and should be playable on just about any treble clef instrument. Including the viola... although if you got hired to play solo viola at a wedding or a church service I have questions. It's nothing spectacular, but here's what I can promise you if you buy this chart:- THE CHORDS ARE RIGHT. I honestly can't believe there are people that get the chords to worship songs wrong on their arrangements, but here we are. Rest assured I am not one of them.- YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ IT. Finale collisions and terrible interpretations of vocal rhythms need not apply here.- THE MELODY WILL WORK ON YOUR INSTRUMENT. Again, this is not one of those hyper-transcriptions of every little vocal ornament that was sang on the studio version. I purposefully chose where to simplify vs. embellish the melody so that there's room for instrumental interpretation without getting lost in the details.May this humble arranger's last-minute busy work bring joy to your audience and at least an extra 30 minutes of sleep to you by not having to learn this song the night before the gig. Enjoy the hustle, friends.

Steinberg & T. Kelly, & this song was nominated 2 times for a Grammy , recorded by Cyndi Lauper. Also performed by Phil Collins, and Eva Cassidy and many more. This arrangement is part of the Compositions that Care which means all money raised goes directly to charity, in this case LGBTQ+ community, such as housing for youth whom may be thrown out of their housing or had to run away, for hate crime victims/ survivors, shelter, medical treatment and supplies and any other need . This arrangement is very special and personal for me, because I am a Hate Crime victim /survivor as well. Even in today's society , where about 20% or less of Hate Crime Victims even report attacks or even serious physical harm. The laws have been changing slowly in the last 10 years , taking away penalties and sentencing from this heinous crimes. Legislators and law makers have diminishing what defines hate crimes, if hate crimes deserve additional sentencing, taking away laws that would ensure and help to protect this minority population most vulnerable to being victims. And not just in the USA, but around the world LGBTQ+ persons , are being attacked , imprisoned, and even murdered everyday . IIn the USA, Even where as victims like myself are seriously harmed , and in the hospital , requiring surgery, permanently maimed , broken bones, etc. most criminal perpetrators get minimal sentencing , even probation . And as in my case, these criminals had have multiple other serious convictions of physical harm to others and even serious gun charges. Please make your voice heard, help protect yourself, or your family, friends, and loved ones by contacting law makers local and federal to let them know this is not ok, and laws need to be changed to protect every person . Thank you for watching. To purchase this charitable composition, please Visit: SheetMusicPlus.com , also check out my website @ doRaymeflute.com.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1517469 By Nat King Cole. By Cliff Parman, Frank LaVere, and Lew Douglas. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1091629. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1517469). Pretend is a popular song, written in 1952 by Dan Belloc, Lew Douglas, Cliff Parman and Frank Levere. The best-known recording, by Nat King Cole,[1] was released by Capitol Records as catalog number 2346. It first reached the Billboard Best Seller chart on January 31, 1953, and lasted 20 weeks on the chart, peaking at No. 3. It also reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart in May 1953, just behind Frankie Laine's chart topping hit, I Believe. Cole would later re-record the song for his 1961 album The Nat King Cole Story. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills for your listening (playing?) pleasure - we hope you like what we've done to make this arrangement unique!

Electric Violin,Instrumental Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845965 By Bud Powell. By Vernon Duke. Arranged by Kyle Pudenz. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jazz,Standards. Individual part. 6 pages. ViolinVagabond Music #4967185. Published by ViolinVagabond Music (A0.845965). An advanced-level jazz arrangement of Autumn in New York for unaccompanied 7-String Electric Violin. Although this was written on a 7-string, it also translates very well on a 6-string; there are only 2 passages that require the low Bb string, and these will sound fine taken up an octave. If you want to try this on a standard violin, well... good luck with the 5-note chords!I realize we extended-range violinists are few & far between, but if you (like me) appreciate the unique ability of this instrument to cover bass substitutions, chord melodies, and other roles that were previously thought exclusive to fretted/keyed instruments, this arrangement is an excellent demonstration of some of the really cool ways that you can bring a melody to life without the need for any effects or accompaniment. It is not for the faint of heart, and will definitely take some practicing, but if you can tackle the harmony this is a chart that is guaranteed to impress any jazz-nerd in the room... or your money back!*A challenging, yet elegant take on one of my favorite jazz ballads, this arrangement is great for showing off your jazz chops as a soloist, but can also work great as background music at one of those weddings or cocktail parties where someone decided it would be a hip idea to have an electric violinist... by themself...without any suggestions on repertoire (don't lie, we've all done at least one of these). Frets are optional, but not necessary ;-) I've been playing this for 6 years without... Performance time: 5 minutes, 30 secondsAlternatively you can skip one of the choruses to get it under 4 minutesQuestions? Suggestions? Requests? Contact me via my website: www.kylepudenz.com/Together, we can slowly fill the conspicuous void of printed music for electric violin!*You're not actually getting your money back. I stand by my comment about impressing the jazzers, though.

Choral Choir (4-Part) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.498222 By Elvis Presley, Michael Buble, The Pet Shop Boys, and Willie Nelson. By Johnny Christopher, Mark James, and Wayne Thompson. Arranged by Hazel Hannam. 20th Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Country,Pop. Octavo. 6 pages. Hazel Hannam #111884. Published by Hazel Hannam (A0.498222). This is such a beautiful song. I think it resonates with many people. This arrangement is perfect for community choirs at an intermediate level or beginners with plenty of time and encouragement. The melody is shared between the 1st sopranos and the 2nd sopranos in the verses and is then handed to the men (tenors or basses) in the middle section. This would be a lovely concert piece - Your audience will love hearing this and will be chomping at the bit to sing along with your choir! To hear how it sounds, click on the YouTube link below.

Instrumental Duet,Piano Clarinet,Flute,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1461035 Composed by Grant Horsley. Classical,Contest,Festival,Folk,Historic,Multicultural,World. 25 pages. Grant Horsley #1039943. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.1461035). A piano accompaniment track is also available as are other duet versions- Flute, Violin, Clarinet and Trumpet.Salento is a Modern Tarantella. Tarantella is a lively dance in 6/8 time featuring quick steps originating in Taranto Italy. The dance was originally a flirtation one where couples danced in a manner to entice courtship, however it is more known as a dance of hysteria for when a victim was bitten by a spider (tarantula), it was believed that dancing furiously with tambourines would cure them. This Tarantella is in ternary form and in A minor and the most complicated note value is a quaver and the highest note is top E. I have kept both parts fairly equal throughout and have placed it at Intermediate level, but on the youtube link there is the whole score for you to assess the suitability. It is ideal as a showpiece, useful for concerts, recitals or simply something a little different to play. It is 2 mins 45 in lengthPrice is for the score and parts.
