Can't Help Falling In Love
Brass Quartet: 2 trumpets, horn, trombone
Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845303 By…

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845303 By Elvis Presley. By George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti, and Luigi Creatore. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Film/TV,Pop,Rock,Wedding. Score and parts. 13 pages. Phil Beaman #6713705. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.845303). Can't Help Falling In Love was made famous by Elvis Presley on his album and film Blue Hawaii. My arrangement takes it from a 60's pop song to a gentle jazz ballad. It is totally reharmonized and has a fresh new feel. The melody is the same, except it has a new Time Signature. The song was originally in 6/8 but I have set it in 1/2 in order to get the pulse and phrasing I want. (Yes, 1 minim/half note per bar.) The original accompaniment was broken arpeggios, but now it is all about the rich new blocked chords. With repeats and a D.S. I have covered all 4 verses and bridges. Enjoy a fresh take on this forever classic. Great for weddings and nostalgic concerts.

The Song That Reached My Heart - Julian Jordan arr. GH Farnell (Brass Quartet)
Brass Quartet: 2 trumpets, horn, trombone
Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802635 Co…
(+)
Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802635 Composed by Julian Jordan. Arranged by Geo H Farnell & Peet du Toit. Contemporary. Score and parts. 6 pages. Peet du Toit #6072419. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802635). Julian Jordan (November 10, 1850 – October 13, 1929) was an American composer, vocal instructor and singer. He worked with Willis Woodward & Co., a publisher in New York City's Tin Pan Alley. In 1887, he wrote his most successful composition, The Song That Reached My Heart. The Song That Reached My HeartMr. Jordan tells the following story of how he came to write The Song that Reached My Heart. Mr. Sayres, manager of the minstrel company, chanced to hear at one of the New York theaters a song entitled The Song for Me, which introduced Home! Sweet Home! as a finish. The following day Mr. Sayres and I met. He spoke of the song he had heard and said that he would like to have me get it for use in this minstrel company. Naturally I objected to taking the composition of another man, being a song writer myself, and so I told Mr. Sayres that if he was desirous of having a song which would introducethe melody of Home, Sweet Home I believed that I could compose one which would be as effective as theone he wished me to obtain. The idea was favorable to him, and Mr. Sayres at once suggested as a title for the song that I was to compose, The Song That Reached My Heart. Take that for a title and go home and see what you can make of it are the words Mr. Sayres used. I went home and the possessors of 100,000 copies of the song today know what I made of it. Willis Woodward, the song'spublisher, regarded the piece to be one of the most lasting and profitable hits in his long career.[Julian's twin brother, Jules Jordan, was also a composer and singer. Here's my contribution with a transcription of this beautiful composition for a brass quartet.

A wintry landscape, a miracle, a wondrous season: all these are evoked in this traditional English Christmas carol that's also popular among Celtic music fans. Arranged as a jubilant brass quintet for two Bb trumpets, horn in F and two trombones, this snowy, atmospheric music is recommended for Christmas plays, pageants and programs, holiday recitals and Christmas concerts as well as traditional Christmas church services and other seasonal worship events. Suggested worship uses: a prelude, postlude, an offertory, interlude, Christmas play overture, special music and silent prayer accompaniment. Concert Key: F major. 16 pages of music (that includes the score and separate two-page parts for trumpet 1, trumpet 2, French horn, trombone 1 and trombone 2) What can I give Him, poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I would give a lamb. If I were a wise man, I would do my part But what can I give Him? Give Him my heart.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.814532 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 12 pages. Regis Bookshar #6636621. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.814532). Brass Octet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of Silent Night, or in German, Stille Nacht, would be a wonderful addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts, recitals, and, especially, church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (12 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Silent Night is probably the most popular Christmas carol ever written. It was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr and was first performed on Christmas Eve at St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a small village in present-day Austria. A young Catholic priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had written the poem, Stille Nacht, in 1816 and had gone to Oberndorf in 1817. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. On Christmas Eve, 1818, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for that night's mass, after river flooding had possibly damaged the church organ. The church was eventually destroyed by repeated flooding and has since been replaced with the Silent-Night-Chapel.According to Gruber, Karl Mauracher, an organ builder who serviced the instrument at the Oberndorf church, was enamored with the song, and took the composition home with him to the Ziller Valley in Tyrol, Austria. From there, two traveling families of folk singers, the Strassers and the Rainers, included the tune in their shows. The Rainers were already singing it around Christmas, 1819, and once performed it for an audience that included Franz I of Austria and Alexander I of Russia. They also gave the first performance of the song in the United States in New York City in 1839. By the 1840's, the song was well known and was reported to be a favorite of Frederick William IV of Prussia. During this period, the melody changed slightly to become the version that is commonly heard today. The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber's original which has a moderate tempo. The song has been translated into about 140 languages and has been recorded by many singers across many music genres. The version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935, has sold over 10 million copies as a single. In this arrangement of Silent Night, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic form of this familiar Christmas carol, but has also included a descant during the third verse. Also, in addition to this version for a Brass Octet, consisting of 4 Trumpets, 2 French Horns and 2 Trombones, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There are Quintets and Octets readily available for purchase. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Silent Night will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

The first verse is a traditional setting of the tune while the second verse has a more complex accompaniment. The third verse also includes a descant. Coronation March, TH 50, CW 47 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Brass Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of Peter Tchaikovsky's Coronation March, sometimes called Festival March or Festival Coronation March, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and other festive occasions. This arrangement keeps all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students. Professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (26 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available to the public for the first time. The Coronation March was ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883. It was written during March of 1883 and was performed for the first time on June 4, 1883 in Sokolniky Park in Moscow, conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music then included excerpts of the anthem, God Save the Tsar. The American premiere was on May 5, 1891, for the opening concert of Carnegie Hall in New York City, conducted by Tchaikovsky himself. During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem. Starting with Dmitri Medvedev's inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president, and ends well before the playing in this piece of the Tsarist anthem God Save the Tsar. Unlike Tchaikovsky's other major compositions, the Coronation March does not have an opus number. It has been given alternative catalogue designations TH 50 and CW 47. Tchaikovsky's Coronation March was originally scored for a full orchestra and written in the key of D Major. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a Brass Octet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets, 2 French Horns and 3 Trombones. In addition to this arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March for a Brass Octet, other arrangements of this festive composition for various instrumental ensembles are also available. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a Brass Octet, consisting of 4 Bb Trumpets, 1 French Horn and 3 Trombones. In addition to this arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March for a Brass Octet, other arrangements of this festive composition for various instrumental ensembles are also available. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as there are many more arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you as well, and please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March will continue to entertain both audiences and performers alike for years to come.

America's Favorite Hymns - Brass
Brass Quartet: 2 trumpets, horn, trombone

Composed by Various. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christian, Praise & Worship, Sacred. Score and parts. 179 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #6326509. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications
Here’s a new collection of thirty-two of America’s best-loved hymn tunes for brass, at a bargain price too! The arrangements are intended either as stand-alone pieces that could be used as interludes in a service, or they could be used to accompany solo, choral or congregational singing.

The publication consists of full scores for each hymn plus separate instrumental parts and an optional simplified keyboard part. All the arrangements are in four parts, reflecting the traditional SATB voicing. The parts include 1st trumpet in B flat; 2nd trumpet in B flat; horn in F; horn in E flat; trombone and optional tuba; bass in B flat and bass in E flat. There are also two optional baritone parts in B flat (T.C.) and C (B.C.) in case you need them. They are the same as the tenor part. In some hymns, you might prefer to assign any baritones to doubling the bass or doubling the melody an octave lower. The baritone part in C is also playable by trombone. The trombone and tuba parts appear on a single staff. Of course, you can use any number of instruments to a particular part. The scores and all the parts are contained in a single 178-page PDF file.

The optional keyboard part has been simplified and whenever possible limited to single notes in the left hand part and no more than two-note chords in the right. Using the keyboard part, you can use the arrangements as solos, duets or trios. Because the music has been set in brass-friendly keys, the arrangements are not compatible with the string collection of the same title.

The collection includes the following titles: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God (Ein’ Feste Burg); All Creatures Of our God and King (Lasst uns Erfreuen); All People that on Earth do Dwell (Old Hundredth); Abide with Me (Eventide); All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name (Coronation); Amazing Grace (Trad); At the Cross (Alas and Did My Savior Bleed) (Hudson); Be Thou My Vision (Slane); Blessed Assurance (Assurance); Blest Be the Tie That Binds (Dennis - Nägeli); Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing (Nettleton); Come We That Love the Lord (St. Thomas); Crown Him with Many Crowns (Diademata); Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah (Cwm Rhondda); Holy, Holy, Holy (Nicea); How Firm a Foundation (Foundation); It is Well with my Soul (Ville du Havre); Jesus Christ is Risen Today (Easter Hymn); Jesus, Lover of My Soul (Hollingside); Jesus Paid it All (All to Christ); Joy to the World (Antioch); Just as I Am, Without one Plea (Woodworth); Love Divine, All Loves Excelling (Hyfrydol); Nearer my God to Thee (Bethany); Praise To the Lord, The Almighty (Lob den Herren); Rock of Ages (Top¬la¬dy); Shall we gather at the River? (Hanson Place); The Day thou Gave us, Lord is Ended (St. Clement); To God Be The Glory (To God be the Glory); There is a Fountain (Cleansing Fountain); What a Friend We Have in Jesus (Converse) and When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (Hamburg).

The audio demo contains the following titles (1) Love Divine, all Loves Excelling; (2) Abide with Me; (3) That a Friend we have in Jesus; (4) Nearer my God to Thee; (5) Shall we gather at the River?
