I Get Around

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1461184 By The Beach Boys. By Brian Wilson and Mike Love. Arranged by Will Corbin. Pop. 14 pages. Will Corbin #1040042. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1461184). I was playing with a quintet called The Beach Brass. We live in a town with beach in its name, on the Gulf of Mexico. The other band members wanted some beach music; hence, Beach Boys. (It should be noted that the surf's up seriously here only when there's a hurricane),Cash Box called 1964's I Get Around an exciting, tailored-for-teen-tastes hot rod stomper. Who can argue with that?I don't know if this one's a hot rod stomper -- it ain't fancy in any way -- but it's just the thing if you're playing for an audience drinking beer in the sunshine. If you'd like alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Brass Quintet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1447042 By Anthony Newley. By Bennie Benjamin, Eddie Durham, Eddie Seiler, and Sol Marcus. Arranged by Jordan Roberts. Country,Pop,Video Game. 20 pages. Jordan Roberts Music Works #1026815. Published by Jordan Roberts Music Works (A0.1447042). Jordan Roberts' brass quintet arrangement of I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire brings a fresh, invigorating sound to this classic pop song. Originally written in 1938 by Bennie Benjamin, Eddie Durham, Sol Marcus, and Eddie Seiler, the song gained widespread popularity with The Ink Spots' 1941 rendition, which climbed to number four on the US pop chart and resonated deeply with listeners during World War II. Known for its poignant opening line, I don't want to set the world on fire / I just want to start a flame in your heart, the song found renewed fame in the 21st century through its inclusion in the Fallout video game series. Roberts' arrangement for brass quintet not only preserves the song's nostalgic charm but also infuses it with a dynamic and contemporary energy, making it a delightful experience for modern audiences.

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Digital Download SKU: A0.1460774 By The Beach Boys. By Brian Wilson and Tony Asher. Arranged by Will Corbin. Pop. 19 pages. Will Corbin #1039674. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1460774). Paul McCartney once called God Only Knows the greatest song ever written.” That might in part be because Brian Wilson's previous work concentrated heavily on fast cars, nubile girls and surfboards. But there's no question it's a beautiful song, and one that lends itself nicely and fairly easily to an adaptation for brass quintet. This arrangement is for two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba and relies a great deal on the same soaring French horn sound that Wilson and his writing partner, Tony Asher, used in the original. If you need alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Brass Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1372453 By Soprano and Brass Quintet. By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Classical. 18 pages. Peet du Toit #956760. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1372453). This religious solo motet was composed when Mozart was staying in Milan. During the production of his opera Lucio Silla which was being performed there in the Teatro Regio Ducale. It was written for the castrato Venanzio Rauzzini, who had sung the part of the primo uomo Cecilio in Lucio Silla the previous year. While waiting for the end of the run (from 26 December 1772 to 25 January 1773), Mozart composed the motet for his singer, whose technical excellence he admired. Its first performance took place at the Theatine Church on 17 January 1773, while Rauzzini was still singing in Mozart's opera at night. Mozart made some revisions around 1780. On 30 May 1779, a Trinity Sunday, a revised version was performed by Francesco Ceccarelli at the Holy Trinity Church, Salzburg. Another revised version was intended for Christmas. The manuscripts of the two Salzburg versions were discovered in 1978 in St. Jakob, Wasserburg am Inn. In modern times, the motet is usually sung by a female soprano.I was tempted to combine the soprano and a brass quintet. We have performed this arrangement quite successfully at many venues, including a national music festival (Wakkerstroom, South Africa, March 2023).

Brass Ensemble Euphonium,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.985734 Composed by Gustav Mahler. Arranged by Felix Linsmeier. 20th Century,Classical,Opera,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 13 pages. Felix Linsmeier #591393. Published by Felix Linsmeier (A0.985734). Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen is the third song of Gustav Mahler's famous cycle Rückert-Lieder. Rückert-Lieder (Songs after Rückert) is a collection of five Lieder for voice and orchestra or piano, based on poems written by Friedrich Rückert. The first four songs were premiered on 29 January 1905 in Vienna, Mahler himself conducting, together with his Kindertotenlieder (also on poems by Rückert). The set of songs was not intended as a cycle: the Lieder were originally published independently from each other, connected only by the poetry and common themes. However, they were later published together and most often have been performed together and come to be known as the Rückert-Lieder, although Mahler did set more texts of Rückert. This arrangement for brass quintet puts the singer's part for flugelhorn solo with the rest of the ensemble playing an adaption of the original's orchestra accompaniment. Using combination of mutes and open playing this arrangement archieves a differentiated sound that makes the complicated late-romantic harmony and counterpoint work really well in the stripped-down instrumentation.

"For Your Eyes Only" is the theme tune to the 12th James Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only, written by Bill Conti and Mick Leeson, and performed by Scottish singer Sheena Easton. The song reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100, and number eight on the UK Singles Chart. It was nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards in 1982. This arrangement, one of the finest I have ever done, was described by one listener as "haunting and beautiful".

Horn,Trumpet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108151 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 25 pages. Regis Bookshar #710775. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1108151). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Quintet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets and 2 French Horns, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (25 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Quintet, consisting of 2 Bb Trumpets and 3 Trombones, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library.
