Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1175289 Composed by Brian Streckfus. Instructional. Guitar Tab. 5 pages. Brian Streckfus #774500. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1175289). Pages: 5 (84 chords to name)Objective:Instead of learning chords one by one, you instead learn how to build chords yourself. Also, this mindset helps in composing, because instead of seeing things as wrong chord versus correct chord, you simply see it as every harmony as a name. Like many things in life, theoritcal concepts can allow you to formulate thousands of outcomes in a single day. Tips:1. You start counting from 0 for this exercise if that makes any sense. Avoid the common fence post error by overcounting by 1. Other times you start counting from 1 in music is when talking about scale degrees. What is the distance from C to E? C(0) C#(1) D(2) D#(3) E(4).2. Use the chromatic scale at the top to help in counting.3. E# = F...Fb = E...B# = C...Cb = B...In otherwords, don't let strange enharmonics confuse you. Picture the black key sometimes missing between white keys on a piano in your mind if it helps. 4. Even though enharmonics like E# can seem confusing, they can actually add clarity sometimes because they cause the chord to stack perfectly in the sheet music and letter names. A# C# E#...versus...A# C# F...Sure, F is easier to understand in a part, but it actually makes the harmony harder to understand because not it looks like it isn't 3rds, even though it is.5. I included tab just to make this worksheet a little bit more interesting; however, the guitar chords that result are NOT practical. Voicings of common guitar chords are much more spread out, and often contain more duplicate letter names. Practical guitar chords is sort of a different conversation. I sort of did this intentionally to prove that perfectly stacked voicings do not work well on guitar. C E G Bb perfectly in order in harmony, sounds like it would be easy on guitar, but it is not.6. To make this more practical on guitar, I recommend building the chords yourself by simply knowing letter names well on guitar. The next time something asks for G major, don't just play a common voicing, actually find G B D randomly on the guitar neck. 7. Often the fifth of a chord is removed since it is the least important to invoking the flavor of the chord. This is especially true on guitar because we quickly run out of fingers and strings.8. The nature of the piano lends pianists to constantly seeing these distances on a linear plane. Conversely, guitar is a very murky instrument since the real distances of pitches is counterintuitive to arbitrary (usually) fret numbers! That is why many guitarists would benefit from thinking this way, instead of thinking of chords simply as shapes (which is also important for different reasons). In other words, try to build a chord on one string on guitar. It is impractical, but the half step distances required for chords will make much more sense. To Do:1. Slight differences in how the sheet look need to be made similiar.2. Remove green line.

Easy Guitar (with TAB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1047465 By Dan Jones (www.danjonesguitarist.com). By Dan Jones. Blues,Folk,Rock. Tablature. 5 pages. DanJonesGuitarist #652027. Published by DanJonesGuitarist (A0.1047465). Three Pieces for Beginner Guitarists (Acoustic or Electric) by Dan Jones Presented in notes, TAB and easy chords (www.danjonesguitarist.com) As an active guitar teacher, I find that many beginner pupils want to learn either acoustic (steel string) guitar or electric guitar. I have also found a lack of quality resources in these styles which have musical interest, and which lay out some of the necessary technical and musical foundations for future learning. I composed these three little pieces for my own young students. They are played by those using their right-hand fingers, and a plectrum and I’ve found them to be very popular in both lessons and performance. The pieces can be learnt in any order (I have a slight preference for starting my pupils with D-Day Rock - the third in the collection). Below is an outline of the pedagogy behind them (1) Sore Finger Blues This is a simple twelve-bar blues which uses a combination of open strings and notes at the third and second frets. It can be played with a straight or swung rhythm. It is effective at a slow tempo for those needing time to place the fretting hand fingers. The main technical challenge is in bars 10 and 22 where the player moves the third finger between the G and A on string 1. Although this is traditionally an advanced technique, I’ve found my students find it comfortable, as long as the fingering outlined in the notes is followed. The chords are dominant (with major thirds). These clash against the minor pentatonic scale in a way which is typical of the style. The chords are quite simple for beginners. I have opted for a D5 power-chord in bars 9 & 21 which is easier than the usual D chord (which also works perfectly well). Plectrum players should be sure to anchor the plucking hand, either with the side of the hand resting on the bridge, or a finger against the scratch plate of the guitar. Fingerstyle players can anchor either with a finger touching the scratch plate of the guitar, or by resting the thumb on a bass string when the fingers are plucking, or vice versa. This is more typical of classical style. (2) Cross-String Traffic This piece was conceived as a fingerstyle piece, although it can be played using a plectrum. The challenge for plectrum players is to cross the strings smoothly. It is for this reason that the fretting hand is relatively simple so that learners can concentrate on the plucking hand. Players are also encouraged to press down the index finger on string 2 at the correct angle to allow the first string to resonate. Chords have once again been chosen to suit less-experienced fingers; therefore, I have opted for Dm6 instead of the more common Dm (a very tricky chord for beginners). Players should go for maximum resonance and notes played at fret 3 could be fretted with either fingers 3 or 4. (3) D-Day Rock This piece is made nearly entirely of open strings and third fret notes. Where there is string crossing, the music allows the player ‘thinking time’ to change accordingly. Teachers and learners can decide with which finger to press the third fret notes. The rhythmic complexities from bar 13 to the end pose no problems once players have the sound of the piece in their ear. Once again, chords have been selected for ease of playing. The Gm/D chord can be played with a 3-string barre (often quite easy for beginners where no fretted bass note is required) or using three separate fingers. The pedal D sounds effective musically. I have presented these pieces as ensemble works with large groups of beginners. Players and audiences alike have been very receptive! For a wealth of music for beginners, ensembles and advanced players, please visit www.danjonesguitarist.com. A YouTube link to a film of the pieces will be uploaded before the end of June 2022.

Guitar,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042566 By The Candlelight Guitarist. By Words by Samuel Francis Smith, Music: traditional. Arranged by Bradley Powell. Patriotic,Sacred,Traditional. Guitar Tab with Voice. 2 pages. Geofonica Artistworks #647335. Published by Geofonica Artistworks (A0.1042566). Beloved American patriotic hymn arranged for Guitar solo, in both standard notation an TAB (instrumental finger-style, also suitable for accompanying singers, with lyrics included), arranged by Bradley Powell, who has recorded many albums as The Candlelight Guitarist. Level: beginning to Intermediate classical guitar, written in standard notation. (NOTE: This same arrangement in standard notation only, without TAB, is also available.) Arrangement features a short serene introduction, which serves as a transition motif within arrangement. Harmony is a subtle blend of traditional, folk-jazz and classical. Suitable for patriotic occasions, memorials, celebrations and religious services. ABOUT: Bradley Powell (aka The Candlelight Guitarist) began guitar at age ten, inspired by The Beatles. At 15, he became a protégé of jazz guitarist Joe Pass, and later studied classical guitar under Vincent Macaluso and at California State University, Northridge under Ronald Purcell, with a master class under Andrés Segovia. It is a musical setting of the Latin prayer Hail Mary and is often performed at religious ceremonies such as weddings and funerals. The history of Ave Maria dates back several centuries and has been shaped by numerous composers and cultural influences. The origins of the prayer Hail Mary can be traced back to the Bible, where it is recorded in the Gospel of Luke. The prayer is a traditional Catholic devotional that honors the Virgin Mary, and has been an important part of Catholic liturgy and piety for centuries. The musical setting of Ave Maria that is most commonly known today was composed by the Austrian composer Franz Schubert in 1825. Schubert's version of Ave Maria was originally written as part of a song cycle titled Die schöne Müllerin (The Beautiful Miller's Wife) but it soon became popular as a standalone piece.Schubert's version of Ave Maria was written for voice and piano, and its soaring melody and gentle accompaniment captured the beauty and reverence of the prayer. Schubert's composition has been performed and recorded countless times by musicians around the world, and it remains one of his most beloved and enduring works. In addition to Schubert's version, Ave Maria has been set to music by many other composers over the years, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Charles Gounod, and Giulio Caccini. Each composer's interpretation of the prayer reflects their own unique cultural and musical influences, and has contributed to the diverse and rich history of this beloved piece of music.Today, Ave Maria remains a cherished part of religious and cultural celebrations around the world, and its timeless beauty and spiritual power continue to inspire and uplift listeners of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1153109 Composed by Franz Xaver Gr…

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1153109 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Richard Hirsch. Christmas,Multicultural,Religious,Standards,Traditional,World. Individual part. 8 pages. Richard Hirsch #753352. Published by Richard Hirsch (A0.1153109). An arrangement for solo guitar of the all-time favourite Christmas carol composed by Franz Gruber. The arrangement starts with an introduction of the melody in arpeggios of natural harmonics and moves into broken chords mixed with arpeggios for the first rendering of the song in 6/8 time. In the second part, at the shift to 4/4 time, the melody is rendered in an African inspired version with natural harmonics reminiscent of tunes played on an African kalimba (thumb harp) woven into the broken chords and arpeggios. As the speed increases, and the volume decreases, the arrangement moves steadily toward a total kalimba version. I like to think of the first part of the arrangement as symbolising a night in the little Austrian village where Gruber lived and composed the song. The natural harmonics and base notes and treble notes on open strings denoting the village chapel bells ringing on Christmas Eve. The second part tries to give a feel for how the melody can stand as a symbol of our common human origins in Africa, celebrating the birth and unity of humanity. The arrangement is within reach of intermediate to advanced students of guitar and is a good introduction to natural harmonics on the twelfth, seventh, and fifth frets. The African inspired polyrhythm fingerpicking in the second part consists basically of the thumb alternating with the index and middle fingers in a repetitive cycle. The second part is notated in 4/4 time, but can perhaps be more easily be read and played as 8/8 time, as practically everything, especially towards the end of the arrangement consists of eight notes. The polyrhythmic second part should have an accent on the downbeat of the first beat of the measure followed by an accent at 3and (an upbeat), just before the fourth and final beat of the measure. Reading the four part harmony of the score may at first present a challenge but if played basically as eight notes followed by eight notes everything should come out right in the end. Refer to the mp3 version provided with the score if in doubt. I do not mark the natural harmonics explicitly in the tablature, there are simply too many of them. The diamond shaped notes in the notation denoting harmonics are found directly above the corresponding fingerings in the tablature. It has been a real joy to work with this arrangement of the song and I hope it brings joy to others in playing it, giving new life to the traditional melody.

Funk,Jazz,R & B,Rock,Soul. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Dr. LeRoy Henry #938178. Published by Dr. LeRoy Henry (A0.1353443). Cissy Strut is a 1969 funk instrumental by The Meters. Released as a single from their eponymous debut album, it reached No. 4 on the R&B chart and No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. The tune was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2011, which honors recordings of lasting qualitative or historical significance that are at least 25 years old. The A.V. Club called the song a classic deeply rooted in New Orleans music tradition.Cissy Strut was featured in the films Jackie Brown, Red, King Richard and Another Round as well as in the BBC television series The Pursuit of Love.In 2021, Rolling Stone ranked Cissy Strut at number 158 on their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list, one of the handful of instrumentals to make the list. Many transcribers of this tune obscure the 1/4 notes by improperly beaming the 1/16 notes. This arrangement fixes that issue. The tune uses the Boden form used by Bartok and is used when playing jazz ballads.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1177383 By Frederic Chopin. By FreÌdeÌric Chopin. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Instructional,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 6 pages. Brian Streckfus #776814. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1177383). Key: Changed from B minor to A minorCapo: 2 (If you want original key, but I wasn't a fan of capo 2; it felt like there was no bass notes.)1. Arranged for guitar. 2. Piano pedal markings removed 3. Phrase markings removed and opted for commas. 4. Re-harmonized 5. Key changed from B minor to A minor. 6. Slurs 7. Left hand fingers 8. Tablature9. Harmonics added when advantageous, but playing the regular note would work as well.10. Piano pedal markings removed and replaced with commas. It's a flaw of sheet music that slurs, ties, and phrase markings are all the same symbol, and having all three happening can clutter a score.Compromises This may sound obvious, but of course I had to make some alterations to make this flow properly on guitar. Many of the original chord inversions on the piano were not kept. However, many harmonies were kept intact as far as following the chord nomenclature name. Measure 50 was originally an A minor chord, the irony is that the F major suprise is an homage to Chopin anyways, suprised he didn't opt for it. To be honest, I don't like how there is a perfect authentic cadence in measure 50. I think modern audiences would want to clap too badly, so I believe that ending needs to be slightly messed up to propel the music forward, and give a sense that there is still a problem. The other chord that was changed was an E7b9 to a Ddim7 in measure 78. If you know your theory well, you'll realize these chords have the same exact function and nearly the same notes, it's just that Ddim7 flowed a bit better on guitar. I'd rather have guitarists play the rhythms correctly and with musicality, than have guitarist clunkily go though overly large chords in order to mantain historical accuracy. Measure 15 was hard to keep the original chord intact. A Bb/D with a G in the melody as a suspension sounds more like a g minor chord. That is cliche Chopinesque neopolitan moment so the Bb is crucial to mantain. Having some rough sort of Bbmaj7 or G minor chord while mantaining the melody seemed to sound the best even though the name of the chord might have gotten a little off. I tried chord charts, but they seemed messier than what it was worth. I also could have the denser tablature in the sheet music, but that does make it look 10x more intimidating. So this version is unique in that the tablature is my denser arrangement, whereas the sheet music would allow someone to quickly make a new arrangement. I like this ethos because most guitarists are likely to be much better at playing chord quickly when they don't have to have an exact voicing. This makes this arrangement easier to further perfect since I am naming the harmonies, which often isn't done in classical music.BackstoryThis is one of my favorite pieces, and also my favorite composer. I feel classical guitar repertoire is lacking easily playable music in the romantic style. Often, if it is romantic guitar music, it is extemely difficult and therefore only a select few can enjoy performing it. Also, I sometimes get my hopes up to find a romantic guitar composer, but then after listening, there's nothing quite like Chopin. Obviously, you will have to have some chops to play this since it's one of the most ambitious undertakings a guitarist could take, but it's also not so hard that you have to be train for a decade because I changed the key.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.896159 Composed by Traditional English Carol. Arranged by Antony Cull. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Antony Cull #3382729. Published by Antony Cull (A0.896159). 'I Saw Three Ships (Come Sailing In)' arrangement for solo guitar by Antony Cull.IntroductionThis arrangement is aimed at intermediate level guitarists with a good control of natural harmonics and basic fingerstyle. The whole piece has the harmonic structure written in the chords above, which can be strummed by another player to turn the piece into a duet. Alternatively you can use these chords to accompany a singer and add the solo guitar arrangement as a introduction.Performance NotesThe first section outlines the basic harmony, often omitting notes from the chords above, to outline the melody. To keep each section distinct, keep the pace of this section slow and expressive. The next section has a celtic inspired feel, with the constant quavers throughout to drive the piece forward. Note the increase in tempo, but adjust to a comfortable speed for your ability as you are mostly aiming to play faster then the introduction. Practice this section slowly at first, taking time to choose the most comfortable finger position. Once you have the fingering locked in, work on making the melody pop out from the over all picking pattern, relax the attack on the thumb to help this. The third section uses natural harmonics to play the melody. To play a natural harmonic place you fretting finger lightly on the string above the stated fret. As you pick the string, remove your you finger and you should get a bell like tome that sounds a different pitch to the open string. Let each string ring out after each harmonic is played over the subsequent notes until another note is played on that string. In bar 19 and 23 there is a single fretted note so be prepared to switch technique on a dime. This will create a rich harp like feel to the piece that will give a really christmassy feel. The only big change in the coda is a gentle ritardando and an arppegiated harmonic across three strings. Gently place a finger across the three strings and role them off the as they are picked. Final ThoughtsI am a really big fan of tight arrangements and love constructing arrangements for my students. One of my greatest challenges is creating performance pieces for guitarists that don't sing. This is especially ponient during the holidays when everyone wants to hear all the classics. This piece is extremely musical and the harmonics are a real crowd pleaser. Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1401766 Composed by Jacob Collier. Arranged by Justin Roth. Contemporary,Folk,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Guitar Tab. 10 pages. Rothirric Music #984951. Published by Rothirric Music (A0.1401766). Summer Rain was written by Jacob Collier and features Madison Cunningham on vocals and Chris Thile on mandolin. It is on Jacobâ??s Djesse vol. 4 album, released on February 29, 2024. This transcription was originally based on two back-to-back live performances at Union Chapel in London on Aug. 31, 2023, and was completed before the album version was released. The videos were not an official release, but the performances were the first time the three of them had ever performed it as a trio in front of an audience. There were slight discrepancies between the two performances, but I chose what was most consistent with the resulting pattern and progression of the album version.Despite the harmonic complexity of parts of the song, learn the easy and repeatable chord shapes that Jacob actually uses to make this song easier to play that you think. This transcription is intended as a chordal and rhythmic guide to the song, making it more accessible, no matter what your level of playing is. Since it is based on a live performance, and because Jacob doesn't play anything exactly the same way twice, this is not a note-for-note fingerstyle arrangement. This frees you up to adapt it to your level of playing, whether you're a strummer or fingerpicker. As a professional fingerstyle guitarist himself, arranger and transcriber, Justin Roth, has been teaching and transcribing Jacob Collier's guitar arrangements with precision and attention to detail unlike no other to date. Supplemental tutorial videos that accompany Justin's transcriptions are available here: https://bit.ly/JCtutorials.

Guitar Tab - Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Henry Worrall. Arranged by Perry Brooks Nichols. Romantic Period, Classical Period, Folk, Recital, Americana. Score, Tablature. 18 pages. Published by Perry Brooks Nichols
“Sebastopol, A Descriptive Fantaisie For The Guitar” or “The Siege of Sebastopol” by Henry Worrall (1825 - 1902) is considered to be the seminal work of the American Parlor music era prior to the turn of the 20th century. Worrall was largely responsible for introducing open tunings, particularly open D major, i.e “Vestapol” or “tuned like Sebastopol, to the American public with the wide distribution of his publications and guitar method. “Sebastopol” was the original work in open D major tuning. It reveals many of the potential harmonies capable in this tuning such as barred chords at the 5th and 7th frets, as well as the usage of the rising minor 3rd interval rising to the Major 3rd in the context of the major scale - an important element in ragtime and country blues which would develop subsequently. This opus was first published as early as 1854, and was said to have been inspired by the contemporaneous debut of photojournalistic depictions of war in worldwide newspapers; “The Siege Of Sevastopol” of the Crimean War was this breakthrough. The “descriptive fantaisie” aspect of the work illustrates via sound the images of armies marching in the 2/4 beat, bugles represented by natural harmonics of the D major chord, cannons firing in barred arpeggios and rasgueados, and bombs exploding using the “Drumming” technique of tambor. The middle section of this work may be the first extensive passage of a work composed in the “percussive guitar” genre. In addition, I have included the elegant Introduction and Finale, found only in the notebooks of Worrall's collection. Notation, Tab, with right and left hand fingering, and description of techniques are included. 18 pages including cover.

If you listen to the great country guitarist Chet Atkins you will hear this ‘clawhammer’ style in most of his guitar arrangements.Useful hammer-ons/pull-offs and passing notes that will improve your technique and add a professional touch to enhance your guitar performances. See bar for 8 hammer on the A sus chord and also on the B minor in bar 32. Note the pull off on G chord in bar 11.Intro and outro sections are included in this James Taylor guitar arrangement of ‘You can close your eyes’Most songs have intros and outros so that the singer can get the tempo and start in the right key. However, many published arrangements often just start on a pick-up note or two on the last beat of the bar with no chord indicated and end the song on a chord that is not the tonic or main key chord that tells the listener the song has ended. ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ by John Denver is a good example. In the key of ‘D’ the song starts with the notes ‘C#’ and ‘E’ and then the first bar is indicated as ‘D’ major chord. If you start the song playing a ‘D’ chord you will most likely sing the wrong notes because ‘C#’ and ‘E’ belong to the A7 chord of the song. So a simple 2 bar intro of ‘D’ , A7 (start singing on the last beat) and back to ‘D’ would help the singer to get the tempo and sing the correct pick-up notes. The printed sheet music of ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ ends on an ‘A7’ chord of the chorus and as such does not indicate that the end chord should be ‘D’. So it is not always safe to assume that the end chord in printed music indicates the key of the song. Lyrics with chord symbols to show when to change chords. Matching the fingerpicking tab or sheet music to the lyrics can sometimes prove difficult so I have included a lyrics sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ with chord symbols. This is a very popular format to give an indication when to change chords. However, the drawback is that there is no way of knowing how long each chord lasts as the bar structure is missing. But once you learn the bar structure from the sheet music or tab part you will find this Lyrics and chords sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ your go to page for performing the song until you know it from memory.Downloads available Include:Score Tab Chords Lyrics For GuitarNotes Chords Lyrics For GuitarTab Chords Lyrics For GuitarIf you like or buy this arrangement it helps if you leave even a brief review- two words( very good) or even better one word (Awesome) :)Contact me at info@guitarlessonsdundrum.com

This is a very popular format to give an indication when to change chords. However, the drawback is that there is no way of knowing how long each chord lasts as the bar structure is missing. But once you learn the bar structure from the sheet music or tab part you will find this Lyrics and chords sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ your go to page for performing the song until you know it from memory.Downloads available Include:Score Tab Chords Lyrics For GuitarNotes Chords Lyrics For GuitarTab Chords Lyrics For GuitarIf you like or buy this arrangement it helps if you leave even a brief review- two words( very good) or even better one word (Awesome) :) Contact me at info@guitarlessonsdundrum.com

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841182 By James Taylor. By James Taylor. Arranged by John Murphy C.S.M.V. Rock. Guitar Tab. 4 pages. John Murphy #5793051. Published by John Murphy (A0.841182). You can close your eyes James TaylorLearn this classic James Taylor song and master his characteristic finger picking guitar technique. You will learn: 4/4 Fingerpicking rhythm patterns that you can use in many other songs and other genres.Popular and widely used great guitar chord inversions (also sometimes called slash chords, e.g. G/B )to create interesting bass lines that complement the melody of the tune and give direction and forward momentum to the song’s chord progression. Bass driven chord progressions are a characteristic feature of accomplished guitarists like James Taylor and Chet Atkins.‘Clawhammer’ technique or ‘Travis picking’ are the names often given to a style of playing four bass notes to the bar (usually alternating from root to fifth of the chord played with the R.H.thumb). Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1162362 Composed by Traditional Scottish Folk. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,Instructional,Irish,Traditional. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Brian Streckfus #762722. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1162362). 1. Arranged for guitar. 2. Guitar TAB added. 3. Re-harmonized to be idiomatic for guitar and have more adventerous harmony. 4. Grace notes added.5. The grace notes, uncommon harmony, and overly drenched G major pentatonic sound lead to a more Irish/Celtic/Scottish idiom, as if this was written for bag pipes. 6. Too many versions of public domain songs will just phone in the chords in my opinion with a I IV and V7. This version is a bit jazzed up, which may not be what you looking for. If you are looking for real basic accompianiment this isn't the version for you, though I do try to use as many open strings on the guitar as possible, and the chords are often small.7. The other problem I often see with public domain songs is that the famous cowboy guitar chords most versions use lead to a lot of clunky part writing in my opinion (no thought of tendency tones, no thought of smooth voice leading, parralel 8ves and 5ths, doubled 3rds, etc). Those voicings are easier to sight-read, but are also not super creative, and as a teacher, I don't exactly want a student to see the same G Major voicing forever. That gives this false impression that that G major vocing is somehow superior. 8. Another small issue I see with public domain songs is that the vocal melody is sometimes not in the famous cowboy guitar chord. There is nothing wrong with that, and sometimes you want that, but since I like to train my singing with the help of my guitar, I like when arrangements make the vocal melody easy to add or remove on guitar. I can easily play a sophisticated solo version of this in a coffee shop, or I can just look at the chord nomenclature and see the song only from a rhythm section point of view when in a full band, when usually you purposely want to contribute less.9. Notes with an upward stem represent those notes being the original melody. This give arrangement a lot of replay value because a skillfull performer can improvise the background harmonies.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1356984 Composed by Fernando Sor. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 3 pages. Brian Streckfus #941611. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1356984). Pages: 3Key: B minorFeatures:1. Tablature Added2. Blank version for starting from scratch3. Chord Nomenclature added 4. Dynamics added 5. Fingerings Added 6. Slides/Guide fingers added 7. Modern Fonts Tips: 1. Realizing that you are in position two most of the time helps. In the key of B minor, fret 1s aren't supposed to happen as they would be out of key. This piece does have key changes, so some fret 1s do happen.2. Nearly all measures are arpeggios, so it's best to summarize each measure as a chord shape. If you read the music one note at a time, your playing will most likely sound choppy. It is possible to get the entire measure ready on beat one.3. Similiar to the last point, there are a lot of bars in this piece. Realizing when you are barring and not barring will be helpful.4. I try to strategically leave out fingerings. Too many fingerings and the piece look overly intimidating. Often, if I leave out a fingering, it's because it is a counter-intuitive fingering to use, and therefor the student should pencil it in themselves as a strong reminder of a difficult moment. I also leave out fingerings if I strongly sense there are multiple correct ways of playing a passage.

Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.905306 Composed by John Hurford. Arranged by John Hurford. Instructional,Rock. Guitar Tab. 4 pages. John Hurford #5040721. Published by John Hurford (A0.905306). This piece is predominately a practice piece designed to focus on your picking. Whether you want to play really fast or just wanting to improve your picking ability this piece will help. The piece is set at 160 bpm which is the standard if you want to be a speed player. The idea being that you target 4 notes a beat, this will help with your timing too. I would focus on each exercise at a time before trying to combine them. This piece would suit ANY player as it is a technique practice piece rather than performance. For more products go to https://www.johnhurfordmusic.com/ Mp3 available in listings
