Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.896159 Composed by Traditional English Carol. Arranged by Antony Cull. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Antony Cull #3382729. Published by Antony Cull (A0.896159). 'I Saw Three Ships (Come Sailing In)' arrangement for solo guitar by Antony Cull.IntroductionThis arrangement is aimed at intermediate level guitarists with a good control of natural harmonics and basic fingerstyle. The whole piece has the harmonic structure written in the chords above, which can be strummed by another player to turn the piece into a duet. Alternatively you can use these chords to accompany a singer and add the solo guitar arrangement as a introduction.Performance NotesThe first section outlines the basic harmony, often omitting notes from the chords above, to outline the melody. To keep each section distinct, keep the pace of this section slow and expressive. The next section has a celtic inspired feel, with the constant quavers throughout to drive the piece forward. Note the increase in tempo, but adjust to a comfortable speed for your ability as you are mostly aiming to play faster then the introduction. Practice this section slowly at first, taking time to choose the most comfortable finger position. Once you have the fingering locked in, work on making the melody pop out from the over all picking pattern, relax the attack on the thumb to help this. The third section uses natural harmonics to play the melody. To play a natural harmonic place you fretting finger lightly on the string above the stated fret. As you pick the string, remove your you finger and you should get a bell like tome that sounds a different pitch to the open string. Let each string ring out after each harmonic is played over the subsequent notes until another note is played on that string. In bar 19 and 23 there is a single fretted note so be prepared to switch technique on a dime. This will create a rich harp like feel to the piece that will give a really christmassy feel. The only big change in the coda is a gentle ritardando and an arppegiated harmonic across three strings. Gently place a finger across the three strings and role them off the as they are picked. Final ThoughtsI am a really big fan of tight arrangements and love constructing arrangements for my students. One of my greatest challenges is creating performance pieces for guitarists that don't sing. This is especially ponient during the holidays when everyone wants to hear all the classics. This piece is extremely musical and the harmonics are a real crowd pleaser. Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.509358 Composed by Brent Robitaille. Blues,Instructional,Jazz,Rock,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 182 pages. Brent C Robitaille #3536795. Published by Brent C Robitaille (A0.509358). Cigar Box Guitar The Ultimate Collection: Volume 2.†The second book in this series adds more music and instruction needed to learn the three string cigar box guitar tuned to GDG. The book is intended for beginners, but experienced players will gather lots of useful information to further their progress. There is a good selection of tunes that can be played with or without a slide and with or without a pick. As usual, the music includes tablature and notation for those with a music background. There are also 18 traditional songs with chord charts for singers. Each song has suggested chords with diagrams, the time signature, the first melody note, and the key included. There is a variety of strumming and fingerstyle patterns provided for the songs. There are also some tips on how to accompany with the cigar box guitar. If you are into rock and pop styles check out the 12 rock riffs and the many popular chord progressions. The chord progressions are based on current pop/rock music and can be applied to your favorite songs. As in volume one of this series, a full chord and scale library and fingerboard charts are included at the back of the book. The most common chords also have photos, a chord chart, and tablature and notation. An excellent way to learn chords is to practice 10 ways to play major and minor chords. This practice alone will help you master chords on your CBG! Check out my website for the online audio tracks and videos: Website: www.brentrobitaille.com/ultimate-v2 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CigarBoxGuitar

Easy Guitar (with TAB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1370027 Composed by Brian Streckfus. Instructional,Singer/Songwriter. Tablature. 6 pages. Brian Streckfus #954402. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1370027). I created this to make learning the most common chords on guitar easier. Learning chords on guitar is quite difficult; fret numbers are quite arbitary to what the chord is. There are patterns to follow, but they are buried in a convoluted foggy swamp. The tuning of guitar strings essentially puts the music theory in a blender and one has to study for a long time to decode it. It is my hope that this PDF will shine some light on how chords are built, and why some of them have a lot of clarity in how they are working, and why others seem completely random. This PDF shows chords that commonly happen in pop music, so it is by no means an exhaustive list. For knowing how to use chords, see my chord progression generator uploads.Tips:1. There is redundacy for a reason; this pdf shows multiple ways of playing the same chord.2. The first two pages are for the music theory purists in that there is hardly ever an uneccesary note to mantain the name of the chord. This is useful for understanding what notes are needed for a chord (it's a cliche for guitarists to have overly large chords).3. Pages 3 and 4 are the famous voicings. 4. Pages 5 and 6 are the bar chord versions. These versions are physically harder to play, but they can add a lot of clarity and simplicity to your playing (the famous voicings on pages 3 and 4 are seemingly random). They are much easier to slide to any key you want and much easier to see similiarities and patterns between chords.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841181 By James Taylor. By James Taylor. Arranged by John Murphy C.S.M.V. Rock. Guitar Tab. 4 pages. John Murphy #5793043. Published by John Murphy (A0.841181). You can close your eyes James TaylorLearn this classic James Taylor song and master his characteristic finger picking guitar technique. You will learn: 4/4 Fingerpicking rhythm patterns that you can use in many other songs and other genres.Popular and widely used great guitar chord inversions (also sometimes called slash chords, e.g. G/B )to create interesting bass lines that complement the melody of the tune and give direction and forward momentum to the song’s chord progression. Bass driven chord progressions are a characteristic feature of accomplished guitarists like James Taylor and Chet Atkins.‘Clawhammer’ technique or ‘Travis picking’ are the names often given to a style of playing four bass notes to the bar (usually alternating from root to fifth of the chord played with the R.H.thumb). If you listen to the great country guitarist Chet Atkins you will hear this ‘clawhammer’ style in most of his guitar arrangements.Useful hammer-ons/pull-offs and passing notes that will improve your technique and add a professional touch to enhance your guitar performances. See bar for 8 hammer on the A sus chord and also on the B minor in bar 32. Note the pull off on G chord in bar 11.Intro and outro sections are included in this James Taylor guitar arrangement of ‘You can close your eyes’Most songs have intros and outros so that the singer can get the tempo and start in the right key. However, many published arrangements often just start on a pick-up note or two on the last beat of the bar with no chord indicated and end the song on a chord that is not the tonic or main key chord that tells the listener the song has ended. ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ by John Denver is a good example. In the key of ‘D’ the song starts with the notes ‘C#’ and ‘E’ and then the first bar is indicated as ‘D’ major chord. If you start the song playing a ‘D’ chord you will most likely sing the wrong notes because ‘C#’ and ‘E’ belong to the A7 chord of the song. So a simple 2 bar intro of ‘D’ , A7 (start singing on the last beat) and back to ‘D’ would help the singer to get the tempo and sing the correct pick-up notes. The printed sheet music of ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ ends on an ‘A7’ chord of the chorus and as such does not indicate that the end chord should be ‘D’. So it is not always safe to assume that the end chord in printed music indicates the key of the song. Lyrics with chord symbols to show when to change chords. Matching the fingerpicking tab or sheet music to the lyrics can sometimes prove difficult so I have included a lyrics sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ with chord symbols. This is a very popular format to give an indication when to change chords. However, the drawback is that there is no way of knowing how long each chord lasts as the bar structure is missing. But once you learn the bar structure from the sheet music or tab part you will find this Lyrics and chords sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ your go to page for performing the song until you know it from memory.Downloads available Include:Score Tab Chords Lyrics For GuitarNotes Chords Lyrics For GuitarTab Chords Lyrics For GuitarIf you like or buy this arrangement it helps if you leave even a brief review- two words( very good) or even better one word (Awesome) :)Contact me at info@guitarlessonsdundrum.com

Guitar - Intermediate-Advanced - Digital Download SKU: M0.30510EB Composed by Michael J. Anthony. Scales, Arpeggios, Technique, Style. Jazz and Contemporary. E-book. Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music #30510EB. Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music (M0.30510EB). ISBN 9781619115484. 8.75x11.75 inches. In this comprehensive book jazz guitarist Michael Anthony addresses the need to build flexibility and technical proficiency in a way consistent with the melodic motifs of contemporary music. Though the warm-ups are numbered, there is no order that must be followed. The guitarist may approach them according to his or her interest and inspiration. They include: arpeggios, scale patterns, melodic minor forms, chord-melody groups, stretching and contrary motion, double-stops, octave displacement, walking bass with comping, two line phrases, 'out of the box' geometric shapes, overlapping rhythms, long arpeggios and diminished scale patterns. The finish line exemplifies arpeggios outlining I-VI-II-V7 progressions in major and minor. In the words of Michael Anthony, I find that isolation of the right and left hand is useful, but ultimately it is the timing and coordination of the two that is necessary. The benefits of these warm-ups are threefold: 1. Technical improvement. 2. Fingerboard knowledge. 3. Ear training. Written in notation and tablature.

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808754 By Counting Crows. By Adam F. Duritz, Dan Vickrey, David Bryson, David Immergluck, and Matthew Malley. Arranged by B. McCormick. Pop. Guitar Tab. 6 pages. B. McCormick #3520561. Published by B. McCormick (A0.808754). This Sheet Music of this Counting Crow's Classic, Accidentally in Love gives you everything you need to learn this song from start to finish. Designed to strictly follow the songs structure, hence the amount of pages, it gives all the parts in the order they should come if you follow the repeats properly. This song can be found on the Shrek Sound track along with many other great tracks. The chords used in this song are fairly simple. The rhythm and timing and following of the sheet music are where the dificulty in this piece lie. The strum pattern is set out in the initial bars, if a new strum pattern comes in it is indicated. I would work on the main strum pattern and then work on the rhythm in the chorus bars. You may want to try different effects and distortion to get the sound you want, especially for the solo. All in all this piece is for people who have a been playing for a while and have a strong sense of rhythm al though it could be learned by anyone although it would take newer players longer to grasp the changing rhythms. Please connect with me if you like this arrangement. http://barrymccormick.comhttp://facebook.com/barrymccormickmusichttp://instagram.com/barrymccormickmusicYou can also find links to my YouTube and Soundcloud on my website and use the contact forms there to get in touch.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1401766 Composed by Jacob Collier. Arranged by Justin Roth. Contemporary,Folk,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Guitar Tab. 10 pages. Rothirric Music #984951. Published by Rothirric Music (A0.1401766). Summer Rain was written by Jacob Collier and features Madison Cunningham on vocals and Chris Thile on mandolin. It is on Jacobâ??s Djesse vol. 4 album, released on February 29, 2024. This transcription was originally based on two back-to-back live performances at Union Chapel in London on Aug. 31, 2023, and was completed before the album version was released. The videos were not an official release, but the performances were the first time the three of them had ever performed it as a trio in front of an audience. There were slight discrepancies between the two performances, but I chose what was most consistent with the resulting pattern and progression of the album version.Despite the harmonic complexity of parts of the song, learn the easy and repeatable chord shapes that Jacob actually uses to make this song easier to play that you think. This transcription is intended as a chordal and rhythmic guide to the song, making it more accessible, no matter what your level of playing is. Since it is based on a live performance, and because Jacob doesn't play anything exactly the same way twice, this is not a note-for-note fingerstyle arrangement. This frees you up to adapt it to your level of playing, whether you're a strummer or fingerpicker. As a professional fingerstyle guitarist himself, arranger and transcriber, Justin Roth, has been teaching and transcribing Jacob Collier's guitar arrangements with precision and attention to detail unlike no other to date. Supplemental tutorial videos that accompany Justin's transcriptions are available here: https://bit.ly/JCtutorials.

Guitar Tab - Easy/Beginner - Digital Download By Imelda May. Arranged by Ben Garrawayy. Individual Part. 2 pages. Published by Music Lesson Downloads
Here is a very straightforward version of this song which has only 2 very easy chords. The strumming pattern is one of those that you need to master and can play it all with many songs. There are 3 verses and a solo, the last chorus is repeated and theres a few stabs at the ends. If you use a capo on fret one then this plays really well along with the song.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.985307 By The Chainsmokers. By Andrew Taggart, Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion. Arranged by Jaan Varts. Pop. Guitar Tab. 62 pages. Jaan Varts #5742829. Published by Jaan Varts (A0.985307). Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). If you´re a beginner then the key to playing this arrangement is simplification - skip the small details and focus on the most essential stuff. The more advanced level = more details. I´ll cover it below for every part. The form and key is 100% the same as original so you can play along with the actual song. Share, like and subscribe if you enjoy this. More songs coming soon, so say tuned:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The song is bult on G-A-Bm progression and the chords are played throughout the song. 1) Rhythm Rhythm part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). This is the easiest part of the arrangement. If you´re a beginner then start from here. It´s just variations of G-A-Bm chord progression with different rhythms and in different positions. 2) Melody Melody part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). As usual, the melody is the hardest part, since it features lots of slides and legatos. The chorus part features some funky rhythm playing as well. If you´re a beginner, then simplify as much as ou can – leave out all the embelishments, play simpler rhythms, leave out notes when there are more than one note played at a time etc etc. 3) Rhythm 2 Rhythm 2 part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). A little trickier rhythm part features some fingerstyle playing, also hiting the guitar as a drum. The strumming patterns are quite easy, but try to get a steady drum-like beat going on. In the choruses there are some power chords and in the ending we have some riffs as well.

Voice, Guitar, Guitar Tab - Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Chris Dudley. Blues, Rock, Country, Birthday, Folk. 25 pages. Published by Chris Dudley
The songs in this collection are intended to be musically engaging, many with a fresh sound, but easy enough to play that the singer can focus on vocalization and connecting with the audience. If the music goes up the guitar neck, it mostly does it at the dots on the fretboard. It does not go past the twelfth fret so that even a nylon string guitar can be used. If there is individual fingering instead of chords, the music can be played more slowly. In places where a finger picking pattern is indicated, strumming may often be substituted. The tuning is standard to avoid the distraction of retuning in a short set. But these are mostly not three chord songs. The pseudo key change in 'Dreamsieve' the second E minor chord in 'Washed Away,' or the open strings in 'Gold Star Eyes,' may allow the performer a chance to engage the audience through musical novelty. The songs are also meant to be short enough that the audience may want more rather than feel worn. 'Washed Away' and 'Unspoken' may be the most involved but both have choruses that can be used for a sing along to bring the audience further in. The songs also have a range of moods and subjects to be useful in balancing an open mic short set.

New apoyando/picado exercises that I hope it will be interesting to play. Sincerely speaking, I don't like exercises because they are mostly for technique and there is no music. I wanted to create exercises that would be interesting for me, the musical exercises. I am satisfied with this work - now I have more good exercises for myself and I share it with you. Each exercise is made like a cycle. You can practice some important technique elements - left hand transitions that are common in flamenco guitar music, with p/h/glissando. These patterns are also useful as guitar licks for flamenco fusion improvisation. Enjoy!
