A piano part is included but is not needed for performance.A version of this arrangement for String Quartet is also available here: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/let-it-snow-let-it-snow-let-it-snow-string-quartet-digital-shee.... About the arranger Tim Crooks trained as a violinist and violist, working professionally in Manchester (UK) for many years. He was a founding member of the Manchester String Quartet and scored many arrangements for the group's recordings. String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.568524 By Lady Antebellum. By Jule Styne. Arranged by Thomas Graf. Christian,Christmas,Holiday,Jazz. Score and Parts. 13 pages. Thomas Graf - the-hit-factory.com #2964425. Published by Thomas Graf - the-hit-factory.com (A0.568524). Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, also known as Let It Snow, is a song written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in July 1945. It was written in Hollywood, California during a heat wave as Cahn and Styne imagined cooler conditions. Here it comes easily swinging, relaxed - a perfect concert piece for the holyday season. The melody is played by all parts - including a solo for the bass register. Have fun! Instrumentation: Violin 1/2, Viola, Cello, Contra Bass Listen to the recording - a challenge for your ensemble. Daphne ... An Imaginary Ballet (2015) for string orchestra, full score

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869398 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 38 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #432015. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869398). Instrumentation: Violins 1a. Violins 1b. Violins 2a. Violins 2b. Viola. Cello. Double bass. Program note. I go to Rome every year during my winter break from teaching. My favorite statue in the Galleria Borghese is Bernini's Apollo and Daphne. It is amazingly alive and beautiful. When the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston asked me to write a work for string orchestra, I immediately thought of the fabulous Apollon Musagète by Stravinsky. Wouldn't it be fun to write a companion piece to the Stravinsky and call it Daphne? And since the Stravinsky Apollo is a ballet, my Daphne would be one as well, although an imaginary one. Daphne is in three sections. 1. Moderato ... Apollo struts around at a party, flirting with the nymphs and then suddenly he notices Daphne. He falls in love immediately. 2. Fuga ... Unnerved by Apollo's attention, Daphne flees. Apollo chases after her. 3. Largo ... Apollo catches up to Daphne and declares his love for her. She struggled to free herself from him and calls for help. To save Daphne from Apollo, her father Ladon, the river god, transforms Daphne into a laurel tree. Curtain.Audio link. String Orchestra - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1207072 Composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764). Arranged by A. Marbut 2022. Children,Classical,Holiday,Instructional,Traditional. 2 pages. Amy Marbut #805248. Published by Amy Marbut (A0.1207072). This is only the SCORE.  This piece is performed as a 2 part round. It begins in unison and then splits into the round when the song repeats. This way all students are playing together in unison before they experience the round.  All instrument parts can be bought separately and contain both lines of music. They can also all be combined for mixed groups/ larger ensembles. There is no string bass part (only violin, viola, cello). My beginner students needed a Halloween group ensemble piece appropriate for their level. So I made this arrangement of Frere Jacques in minor and named it Brother Skeleton. The arrangement was written in 2022.

String Orchestra - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1346609 Composed by Rafael Milhomem. Chamber,Children,Classical,Contemporary,Rock. 22 pages. Milhomusic #931387. Published by Milhomusic (A0.1346609). 🎶 It's Time to Play and to Sing 🎶Embark on a musical journey with the enchanting composition by Rafael Milhomem, titled It's Time to Play and to Sing. Composed for a children's guitar orchestra and choir, this piece is a delightful blend of idyllic simplicity and impactful results.Designed to be both idiomatic and accessible, the composition introduces young musicians to extended techniques, including percussion with pencils and slides with spoons, creating a playful and rock-infused atmosphere. The piece not only elevates the learning experience for budding musicians but also adds a touch of innovation to the traditional orchestra setup.Set to the heartfelt lyrics of Rafael Milhomem, the song celebrates the joy of learning to play. String Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767392 Composed by Anon. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Christian,Christmas. Score and parts. 12 pages. Lyons Music Services #3603257. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767392). A brand new setting of this carol for wind quintet (Fl/Ob/Cl/Hn/Bssn).After a short introduction, we hear a fairly normal rendition of the tune with standard harmony. The second verse has the addition of fanfare-like motifs in the top two parts which add some sparkle to the tune. The intention is merely to heighten the feeling of 'announcement' which we get from the words. The melody is also much more decorated and placed into the middle of the ensemble. From Letter C there is an interlude of fanfares before the final verse at the grandioso. This is the loudest part of the setting and needs to sound warm, full and rich. This setting is intended to be played by any ensemble. I have kept the range used reasonable and it does not require any special techniques.

String Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.722584 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Randy Calistri-Yeh. Classical. Score and parts. 186 pages. Custom Chamber Music #3481913. Published by Custom Chamber Music (A0.722584). This is an arrangement of Beethoven's Symphony #1 (Op. 21) for string orchestra. It includes all 4 complete movements. The markups and articulations are consistent with the original. The difficulty is comparable to the original symphony.Generally the first 4 instruments have most of the original woodwind parts and some of the brass. The second 4 instruments have most of the original string parts and some of the brass. This works best when there is some contrast between the two groups, so ideally Violins 1 and 2 will be physically separated from Violins 3 and 4 on the stage (similarly for the other instruments). This is perfect for the featured work on a chamber music concert. It is also ideal for chamber music workshops and summer camps.Instrumentation: Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola 1, Cello 1 // Violin 3, Violin 4, Viola 2, Cello 2.This purchase includes a full score and parts for all instruments.Other arrangements of this composition are available from the Custom Chamber Music publisher link above.

String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533701 Composed by Carson Cooman. Baroque,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 77 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3038897. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533701). Concerto for Portatif Organ and Strings (2006) was commissioned by the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra and its director, Robert Mealy. The work is dedicated to organist Nancy Granert, for whom the solo part was written. The work was commissioned in celebration of the von Clemm Chamber Organ at The Memorial Church, Harvard University, built in 2006 by Klop Organ Builders. As with many of my works, relationships between old and new musical concepts are explored. In this piece, musical aspects of the Baroque organ concerto tradition (and Baroque style string playing) co-exist with more contemporary musical elements. In particular, the directness of expression found in many Baroque concertante works is present throughout. Musical material is shared between the movements in a motivic fashion. The title of the first movement, Bricolage, is defined as “something made or put together using whatever materials happen to be available.†Thus, the musical material for the movement is of varying characters; these elements are assembled together in ways that allow them to comment on and inform each other. Some of these musical elements include: a traditional “overture†texture, a Basse de Trompette texture (with an organ reed stop in the left hand) common in French Baroque organ music, and the French keyboard toccata style. The second movement, Elegia, is dark and searching in tone. It begins with a rageful roar before quieting down to introduce its basic musical material – a simple “lament†theme in a folk-inflected style. This material is used for further explorations, building to passionate climaxes. Finally, the opening music returns, but this time with a whisper. The movement winds down to a sad conclusion. After the soul-searching of the second movement, the third movement, Rondeau, is sprightly and energetic. The basic material is a set of Baroque and Classical-style figurations (with a few American gospel inflections thrown in), firmly grounded in G major. After minor diversions, the original material continues to return and ends the work with unfettered joy.

String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1112894 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 44 pages. Regis Bookshar #714847. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1112894). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - String Orchestra - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a String Orchestra, consisting of 3 Violins, 2 Violas, 2 Violoncellos and 1 Double Bass, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (44 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a String Orchestra, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Time: 5 minThis piece contains the following: double stops; triple-, and quadruple-stop broken chords, septuplet octave runs, sul tasto, and solo passages for each instrument. The YouTube video scrolls through the score, so, before you purchase it, you can get a great idea of how suitable this piece would be for your ensemble. In this arrangement, while borrowing something old (sotto voce quotes from Pachelbel's famous Canon in D (here in G)), the something new 80s Pop/Country sound blends with the classical into a timeless tapestry. I've always thought of this classic by Lee Greenwood as the perfect song for a wedding or an anniversary, but, in reality, its lyrics are so grateful and sincere that it could just as well grace a birthday, a memorial, or any other sentimental, friendly gathering.Due to unforeseeable technical problems, parts do not always print to PDF correctly, so please let me know of any problems with printed parts, and I can send you an updated version. Published by Aaron Meier (A0.922634). Original by Johann Strauss II Reduction to String Orchestra by Aaron Meier Part: Violin I True to the original work by Strauss, this reduction for string orchestra features the ornaments and mystical writing that defines Strauss' polkas. There are optional percussion parts to be added at the discretion of the ensemble, however even without percussion the ensemble will sound full (the percussion acts as an ornament). Difficulty: Intermediate-advanced - advanced (best-suited for advanced student ensembles) --- Performance Notes: • Approximate length: 3:30 minutes • 1st Violins: In m. 1, trill a half step from a D♠to a D♮ • 2nd Violins:  - At m. 42, divide players by 3, with 2 players playing line A and the remaining player playing line B  - At m. 72-75, emphasize the E♠in the div. • Snare Drum: The buzz roll needs to be quieter than how it is played in the midi recording (*see YouTube link ↓) History: The Olga-Polka itself owed its creation to a Russian royal wedding which took place in St. Petersburg on 28 August 1857. On that day, amid accompanying splendour, the music-loving Grand Duke Michail Nikolaievich (1832-1909), youngest brother of Tsar Alexander II, married Princess Caecilie of Baden (1839-91), daughter of Archduke Leopold of Baden. Johann Strauss, who at that time was giving a summer season of concerts in nearby Pavlovsk, used the opportunity occasioned by the event to enhance his already enviable popularity with the Russian royal family and composed the Caecilien-Polka in honour of the lovely young bride. Indeed, it is clear from a letter which Johann wrote in late July 1857 to Carl Haslinger, his publisher in Vienna, that the new polka had been prepared well in advance of the wedding (the fair copy of the full orchestral score made for the publisher's engraver is dated 9 August) and was enjoying success even before the royal couple's official engagement on 16August 1857. Sometime after performing the Caecilien-Polka in Pavlovsk, Johann despatched the work to the Austrian capital where his brother Josef conducted its Viennese première, together with that of Johann's waltz Telegraphische Depeschen (op. 195, Volume 28), at his own benefit concert in the Volksgartenon Sunday 18 October 1857. The Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (16.10.1857) remarked that both works have caused a sensation in St. Petersburg and are truly genial Viennese sounds full of verve and melody. Since tradition demanded that the German Princess Caecilie adopt a Russian name - Olga Feodorovna - before her marriage, so Johann's Caecilien-Polka also underwent a change of identity. On 8 December 1857 Carl Haslinger announced the publication of Strauss's Olga-Polka, on the title page of which is the inscription: Dedicated to her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga, née Princess of Baden. It was under this title, too, that Johann himself first conducted the work in Vienna at a concert in the Volksgarten on 1 November 1857, shortly after his return from Russia. Reporting on this event, the Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (3.11.1857) observed: The 'Olga-Polka' is a most delightful, fragrant musical bouquet, full of fine, gracious rhythms.
