Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1188028 By Meghan Trainor. By Kevin Kadish and Meghan Trainor. Arranged by Stephen Jenkins. Chamber,Comedy,Film/TV,Holiday,Pop. 28 pages. Edition BlechMafia #787642. Published by edition BlechMafia (A0.1188028). Inspired by Post Modern Jukebox’s Upright-Bass-Solo cover of the pop song “All About that Bassâ€, we decided to turn the BlechMafia version into a tuba solo.We mixed tuba excerpts from orchestral and film literature, such as the Dragon-Solo from Wagner’s Ring Cycle and the Imperial March from Star Wars, into Meghan Trainor’s original. As rehearsals progressed we decided to add more orchestral excerpts into other instruments as well. Thus the Siegfried Call from Wagner’s Ring Cycle interrupts the Imperial March and a theme from Humperdinck’s Hänsel and Gretel was added to the trumpet part. Rehearsing this piece was quite a challenge - we could barely get to the end without laughing! The result is definitely worth listening too and sure to be a hit in any concert!Duration: 4:00Parts include:Trumpet 1 in Bb or CTrumpet 1 in Bb or CHorn in FTrombone in C (Bass Clef) or Bb (Treble Clef)TubaDrum KitFor alternative transpositions or any other questions, contact me here: stephen@blechmafia.de.

All You Need Is Love is a song by The Beatles that was released as a non-album single in July 1967. It was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. The Beatles performed the song as Britain's contribution to Our World, the first live global television link. The day before the Our World broadcast, the Beatles decided that the song should be their next single. Released in the UK on 7 July 1967, it went straight to number one and remained there for three weeks. It was similarly successful in the United States after its release on 17 July, reaching number one for a week. All You Need Is Love was also included on the American LP version of Magical Mystery Tour in November 1967,as well as in the film, and on the LP Yellow Submarine, released in 1969. This song is also featured in Cirque du Soleil's show Love, based on the songs of the Beatles. Ideal for a wedding or Valentine's Day.The video is my horn quartet arrangement.Â

Listen to the Mocking Bird
Brass Quartet
Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148567 Composed by…
(+)
Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148567 Composed by Music by Richard Milburn. Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. Country,Folk,Historic,Traditional. 27 pages. Sweetwater Brass Press #748729. Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.1148567). Listen to the Mocking Bird was first published in 1855. The melody originated with Richard Milburn, a Philadelphia African-American who has been described variously as a panhandling busker and as a musically inclined barber. A songwriter and publisher by the name of Septimus Winner heard Milburn's tune, arranged it, added words, put it into print and claimed credit for its creation under the pseudonym Alice Hawthorne. Supposedly, Winner sold the rights to the song for five dollars. Listen to the Mocking Bird grew to be one of the most popular songs of the mid-19th century, a real hit. Its sheet music, by one estimate, sold more than 20 million copies. It was sung and performed particularly often during the Civil War, and troops used its melody as a marching tune. It remains somewhat of a standard and has been recorded numerous times, especially as a favorite of bluegrass musicians. In the lyrics, the singer is remembering his loved one. She has passed away but he recalls their good life together. They particularly enjoyed the call of the mocking bird, which even now is singing o'er her grave. This arrangement opens in E-flat major with Trumpet 1 introducing the sweetly sad melody, I'm dreaming now of Hally. After the introduction, the tempo picks up to allegro and whirls along. It does slow down several times, and there are four one-measure deviations from the 4/4 time signature: one 6/4, two 2/4s and one 1/4. At measure 65, the key changes to B-flat major for the finale. Trumpets 1 and 2 each play one A-above-their-staff eighth note as their highest pitch; the rest of the music stays well within the normal playing range of the five instruments. Completed in 2022, performance time runs about 3 minutes, 23 seconds. The arranger, Les Smith, will be happy to provide substitute parts (for example, treble clef baritone for trombone) at no charge. He would like to receive your suggestions, comments, corrections and criticisms. For more arrangements by Les, enter Sweetwater Brass Press (without the quotation marks) in the Sheet Music Plus or Sheet Music Direct search box. (Also, purchase of this piece entitles you to your choice of another of his arrangements at no charge; send a copy of your purchase receipt directly to him at lessmith61@bellsouth.net.)

Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 2 Bb Trumpets, 1 French Horn, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1112868 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 40 pages. Regis Bookshar #714822. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1112868). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Octet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets, 2 French Horns, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (40 pages). So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Octet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1116453 By Stewart J Wallace. By Stewart J Wallace. Arranged by Stewart J Wallace. Children,Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Religious. 10 pages. Stewart J Wallace #718097. Published by Stewart J Wallace (A0.1116453). This is a brass accompaniment for a modern carol that would suit church choirs, school choirs, and congregations looking for something new, which would still compliment the traditional and well-known carols. The melody is memorable and the harmonies are rich and stately, whilst the words encourage us all to use our voices to sing and relay the message of Christ's birth. A piano and single line vocal melody version with a more intricate SATB version is available separately. In this brass arrangement there are parts for trumpets, tenor horn, French horn, trombone (bass clef), trombone (treble clef), tuba, and E flat bass (treble clef).

Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1117524 By Gloria Gaynor. By Harry Simeone, Henry Onorati, and Katherine K. Davis. Arranged by Stephen Jenkins. 19th Century,Christian,Christmas,Classical,Comedy. 39 pages. Edition BlechMafia #719069. Published by edition BlechMafia (A0.1117524). Weihnachtsboléro - Little Drummer Boy in the style of Ravel's Boléro After promising a friend to undertake that task of combining Little Drummer Boy with Ravel's Boléro I soon came across a small but rather significant problem: Boléro is in 3/4 whereas Little Drummer Boy is in 4/4. Thankfully, Little Drummer Boy works extremely well transformed into 6/8 and this produces a wonderful juxtaposition when combined with the virtually static 3/4 rhythm of Boléro. Boléro is a masterwork of skillful orchestration and enthralling harmony, which results in an incredible crescendo - which lasts for a quarter of an hour! My aim was to achieve this same effect, however in a much shorter time frame! Essentially, this arrangement is based on the structure of Boléro, using elements of Ravel’s harmonic and orchestrational ideas. The importance of the second, contrasting melody is not forgotten, with the famous trombone solo combined with fragments of Jingle Bells and ... voilà ! This arrangement is most effective with a snare drum, but it works well without. Duration ca 5:00 Alternative transpositions are provided: Trumpet 1 in D (recommended), Bb and C Trumpet 2 in Bb and C Horn in F / alt. Flugelhorn in Bb Trombone in C (Bass Clef) and Bb (Treble Clef) For alternative transpositions or any other questions, contact me here: stephen@blechmafia.de.
