This is an adaptable quintet arrangement of the famed "Sailor's Hornpipe." Rather than have the highest pitch instrument play the melody the entire time, it passes from instrument to instrument throughout. This is meant to make it a bit more interesting to play for the performers, but also add variety to a tune that's been arranged in so many settings. This will also make it more achievable by younger players by breaking it up some.

Nearly lost, this march honors the Volunteers of the U.S. Army Ambulance Corps. It relies upon melodies from the musical Good-Bye Bill, written by USAACs William B. Kernell and Richard Fechheimer. Quite a difficult one to arrange, as the melodies and original band version were not by Sousa.This Brass Quintet arrangement was made using “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band’s The Complete Marches of John Philip Sousa score as found at https://www.marineband.marines.mil/Audio-Resources/The-Complete-Marches-of-John-Philip-Sousa/. USAAC March was composed in 1918, and the referenced edition was made Public Domain in 2019. I became so emotionally involved in this arrangement... every sequence has a meaning: the high cries of the women and the children (flügelhorns), the low voices of the concern and physically defeated men (euphonium & french horn), the sirens (french horn), the promise of eternity (euph solo), the tuba (the continuous beat of walking towards one's death) and the perpetual percussion (the clock is ticking...) and the cyclical theme of endless love against all odds, remembering the good times in a dance with your loved one(s). Molly Malone (also known as Cockles and Mussels or In Dublin's Fair City) is a popular song set in Dublin, Ireland, which has become its unofficial anthem.The Molly Malone statue in Grafton Street was unveiled by then Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alderman Ben Briscoe, during the 1988 Dublin Millennium celebrations, when 13 June was declared to be Molly Malone Day. The statue was presented to the city by Jury's Hotel Group to mark the Millennium.On 18 July 2014, the statue was relocated to Suffolk Street, in front of the Tourist Information Office, to make way for Luas track-laying work to be completed at the old location.The song tells the fictional tale of a fishwife who plied her trade on the streets of Dublin and died young, of a fever. In the late 20th century a legend grew up that there was a historical Molly, who lived in the 17th century. She is typically represented as a hawker by day and part-time sex-worker by night. In contrast she has also been portrayed as one of the few chaste female street-hawkers of her day.There is no evidence that the song is based on a real woman, of the 17th century or any other time. The name Molly originated as a familiar version of the names Mary and Margaret. While many such Molly Malones were born in Dublin over the centuries, no evidence connects any of them to the events in the song. The other brass instruments are also conical, providing a mellow sound. I must emphasize that it would be best not to perform this piece if the intonation, correct notes, ensemble playing, and overall musicality are lacking.

This is the first of two quintets for brass, based on three songs from the Broadway Musical, \"Annie\": \"Maybe\", \"It\'s a Hard-Knock Life\" and \" Tomorrow\". Parts are comfortably pitched for intermediate players. While designed for the traditional \"English\" brass band quintet (two cornets, tenor horn, baritone and Eb tuba), Parts 4 & 5 are also given at concert pitch. A Part 3 french horn part is provided and Part 5 is given for Bb Bass tuba. The set is excellent for both concerts and junior contests. The set comes with a full conductor\'s score. Total playing time is about 4\'20\".
