Snowball.Text:Even As a Child“ . . . becometh as a child, submissive, . . .†- (Mosiah 3:19)When Jesus was a child, he reasoned with the scribes,Desiring to teach them at the temple spires.Because his age was twelve, He stayed in Nazareth,Growing much in wisdom’s path, gaining holy breath. He waited patiently, his ministry to come . . .Yielding to his Father’s will; He was God’s own Son.He trusted as He lived with all obedience,Even as He faced, with strength, many mortal threats. Then when his end was nigh, when none would intercede,Standing before Pilate’s face, He did never plead. He firmly held his peace and answered to no man.Nearing his own death He pled: Clean those soldier’s hands! In honor He did live, thus showing us the way.Now He only begs that we, too, can God obey.Oh, even as this Child abandoned earthly hopes,Can we also live our lives with our Savior yoked?Chorus:Will we also give to Him each worldly desire,Even as this Child of God, and so be lifted higher?

A Head Above the Rest (Elders) from "The Kings" - ACT 1:Song 6

Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.784819 Composed by McCorkle, Dennis F. Broadway,Christian,Jewish,Musical/Show,Rock. Octavo. 27 pages. DF McCorkle Music and eBook Publications #11651. Published by DF McCorkle Music and eBook Publications (A0.784819). ACT ONE: Song 6. The King, by Dennis McCorkle, is a contemporary pop-rock musical of the first two kings of Israel, Saul ben Kish and David ben Jesse and explores the contrasting lives and outcome of each man’s choices in life. [1 Samuel 9:1-2 - Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, the son of a Benjamite, a mighty man of valour. 2 And he had a son, whose name was Saul, young and handsome, and there was not among the children of Israel a more handsome person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was taller than any of the people.] The next day, SAMUEL returns to the town and assembles the people by their clans. The ELDERS, who have already decided who they want as king, go from clan-to-clan making a pretense in their selection. When their pick, SAUL, cannot be found they broaden their search and finally find him asleep in the cart that had arrived in with the caravan. Waking him, he stands up and is ‘a head taller’ than everyone else. They shout, Look whom God has chosen as our king, there is no one else like him here. [A Head Above the Rest – Elders]. Also included with your order is our new 20 page catalog of over 150 titles at no additional charge.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701759). An original hymn with text by Kathryn W. Hales below.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/fxh5D3JYM_o When I see the world through a child’s eyes, I see mountains and bluebirds and bright butterflies; I feel sand through my toes when at the beach And the apples on the tree just out of reach. When I see the world through a child’s eyes, It’s easy to believe in a Heavenly Father so wise, That He created this earth and all its beauty untold; I still hope to see it that way when I’m old. When I see a family through the eyes of a child, I see a father who provides and a mother who smiles; I have brothers and sisters who are kind to me And we all play together in harmony. When I see a family through the eyes of a child, I can believe in Heavenly Parents, loving and mild, I can view each person as someone of worth And accept them as God’s family here on the earth. When I see others through the eyes of a child, I can learn compassion, to speak without guile; I can be teachable, forgiving, honest, and true, When I see the kind things others may do. It’s easy to believe in a God who is just, When I learn from others to show mercy and trust. I can learn patience while waiting a while, For God’s blessings to come to an obedient child. (Optional for the Christmas season) When I see Christmas through a child’s eyes, I feel laughter and magic and wondrous surprise; I love lights and music and cookies and songs, I want to serve others and never do wrong. It’s easy to believe when Baby Jesus was born Though ‘twas long ago on that Christmas morn, That Love had come down to redeem and glorify, When I see our Savior through a child’s eyes.

Pace #925650. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1339986). A glorious choral arrangement for Christmas or Easter.  Music by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Krista Mason Pace.Text:Great are the words of prophets of oldWho spoke of a King to come as foretold;A Savior, Redeemer, to rule and to reign;Taking our sorrow, grief, loss, and pain.Angels came singing, sent from aboveRevealing as promised, our Father’s love;Teaching the world of His plan for all menThat through God’s own Son, we’d come home again.Chosen of God, a virgin so fairWas blessed from on high, a Son she would bear,And call His name Jesus, for He was the One;His life to offer, Thy will be done.Angels came singing, sent from aboveDeclaring glad tidings, our Father’s love;Shepherds and wise men would reverently bendFor Jesus was born, the Savior of men. Women did come, their spices prepared;Still grieving the loss of life thus not spared. Then, finding the tomb with the stone rolled awayVoid of His body, cried in dismay.Angles came singing, sent from aboveWhy seek ye the living? Our Father’s LoveRising, thus breaking the death bands to giveA promise of life to all who would live.Seeking for truth, he knelt down to pray;Disturbed by the strife of men in his day.A pillar of light shone around this young boy;Christ and His Father answered in joy.Angels came singing, sent from above;Proclaiming the good news, our Father’s love;Full restoration of truth to the Earth; That all may rejoice, His gift of great worth. This Christmas (Easter) day, I ponder anewHis birth, life, and death; my covenants true,And His resurrection that leads to my own;Prophets still leading, guiding me home.Angels are singing, sent from our homeProtecting our children, loved ones who roam. One day we'll join them to sing in His light. He’s coming again in glory and might.

Now Thank We All Our God: Set B

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.837496 Composed by Martin …
(+)
Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.837496 Composed by Martin Rinkart. Arranged by Brett L. Wery. Holiday,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 44 pages. Sonata Grendel Publishing #5753937. Published by Sonata Grendel Publishing (A0.837496). SET B Conductor’s Score,Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, SATB Choir/Organ Now Thank We All Our God was originally written ca. 1636 by Protestant minister, Martin Rinkart. The melody is attributed to Lutheran Hymnist, Johann Crüger and was used in three J.S. Bach chorales but the most common version we hear today was harmonized by Felix Mendelssohn in 1840. Martin Rinkart was a deacon in Eisleben Germany where he served during the Thirty Years’ War. The city of Eisleben and Rinkart’s own home became a sanctuary for political refugees during the war. The resulting overcrowding in the walled city resulted in a horrible plague which hit its peak in 1637. Rinkart was the only surviving pastor in the city and before the plague was over he would preside over 4000 funerals include that of his own wife. Despite this, it was during this time that he wrote Now thank we all our God. This new setting of Now Thank We All Our God draws on Rinkart’s fierce spirit of optimism and faith in a time of desolation and despair. To paint the picture of the circumstances in which Rinkart wrote the hymn, this setting opens with the text from Psalm 13: How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? The setting turns quickly, in an act of disruptive optimism and faith, to a lopsided dance of joy. In the end, the setting returns to the opening question of Psalm 13, How long? only to be answered by Rinkart’s declaration, Gifts of love today!

Stephen R Dalrymple #6668479. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818364). The Claims of the Son 5: I Am the Road♫ original song for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ based on John 14♫ This collection of songs focuses on the Claims of Jesus Christ based on the “I Am’s of the Gospel of John. ♫ On the night of His arrest, Jesus told the disciples that He was going away, leaving them, and they could not follow Him. ♫ He further explained that they knew the road He was taking. Philip asked His destination so he could figure out the route. ♫ But His claim “I Am the Road, the Truth, and the Life†was not speaking of a destination with latitude and longitude coordinates. Jesus is plainly claiming that He alone is the only path to God, the path to truth, and the path to eternal life.♫ “I Am the Road†has a dual listing. It is also used as a worship song.♫ music © 1999, 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2024 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ This.pdf file includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir parts on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet. In the first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Colossians, we discover the next known Hymn to Christ right after his introductory passages, beginning at the 15th verse. Paul opens this letter with a blessing, then immediately flows to one of the 1st century hymns, which I have called, The Icon of the Invisible God. The lyrics of this hymn are declarative, bold and illuminating as to whom the Christ figure is-the icon, the very image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. The text makes it abundantly clear that Jesus is the authority; that He was there before all things, that He created all things, and that through Him all things hold together. This anthem is composed for SATB choir with Pipe Organ accompaniment. The meter is set to 6/8 time, with a rhythm tempo of Totally Alive; which is one actual definition of the word Holy. The anthem starts at a good clip (♪=100). The key is G Major, with an incidental and occasional flatted 5th (Dâ™) as a surprise-landing befitting to the text presented, as if to say, This is so amazing, how can it be? The flatted 5th gives the piece it's own identity and causes the listener to stand up and take notice whenever it occurs. When the hymn's lyrics glide into the all-important resolution, having made peace through the blood of the cross, the song retards and lands on a surprising musical cadence, the sixth chord (E Major). In this piece, the pipe organ is boldly featured as it supports and under girds the musical line, occasionally trumpeting its own victorious motifs and adding some contrapuntal elements, such as this duplet motif, in the pedal line. The final lyrics about Christ having reconciled everything to Himself, whether things on the earth or in the heavens, finish the piece with a great, ‘High-Church’ choral ending.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.774757 By Keith Urban. By Keith Urban. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. Country. Octavo. 16 pages. Sandra Milliken #5324923. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774757). God's Been Good to Me is a song by New Zealand-Australian singer-songwriter Keith Urban. Keith was born in New Zealand in 1967 and later moved, with his parents, to live in Queensland, Australia. There he took guitar lessons and entered local talent competitions. In 1983 he was a contestant on the Australian TV talent show New Faces. A few years later, he began making inroads into the Australian country music scene. In 1990, Urban signed with record label EMI in Australia and released his first self-titled album. Then in 1992 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in the hope of furthering his career and seven years later released a self-titled American debut album. A single from this album, Your Everything, made him the first male Australian performer to reach the Top 10 on the US country charts. Several more successful albums followed.Whilst living in Nashville, Keith often used cocaine, but after reaching a low point in 1998, he became determined to stop using the drug. In January 2005 Keith met Australian actress Nicole Kidman. They began dating six months later and married in 2006.God's Been Good to Me is a reflection of the dark times that Keith encountered in Nashville and his thankfulness that those times were now behind him. This arrangement is available for SATB and SSA choirs as well as for High and Low solo voices. All versions feature piano, violin and guitar accompaniment.

The Heliotrope-the mind of man turned to GodAscensions (2009) for SATB chorus, traverso, baroque violin, viola da gamba, and organ was commissioned by and isdedicated to the Cornell University Chamber Singers, Holland J. Jancaitis, director. The work is a cantata consisting of an instrumental sinfonia followed by choral settings of three poems by neo-Latin poetJakob Balde, S.J. (1604–68), hailed as the Horace of Germany and considered one of the greatest Latin poets of any era.In the case of the three poems selected, Balde’s vivid imagery and mastery of Latin poetics are put in service of religiousexpression. The poems are filled with countless allusions to the classical poetic tradition; notably, he creates a strongcorrelation between the Virgin Mary of his Christian tradition (Balde was a Jesuit priest) and the goddesses invoked inclassical Latin poetry. Thus, Balde uses the older forms to express something that was, for him, contemporary andrelevant. (An analogue to this use of language is the idea of creating new music to be played on period instruments.)The opening sinfonia begins with an ascending pattern of triads, which returns throughout the work. The forwardmomentum is interrupted several times before the movement settles tonally. The first choral movement employs abouncy momentum to set the celebratory poem on the Virgin’s assumption. The second movement is a prayerful song onthe acceptance of death; it is spare and meditative, unfolding as a series of sectional canons over several drones. The finalmovement returns to the celebratory spirit of the opening; this time, instead of the Virgin’s journey, the poem describesthe speaker’s journey and compares a purposeful sea voyage to a directed life.Balde’s poems are provided in their original Latin and in two translations. One is a free translation in rhyming poeticEnglish created by James J. Mertz, S.J., longtime professor at Loyola University. The other is a newly-created literaltranslation by Edward J. Vodoklys, S.J., Senior Lecturer in Classics at the College of the Holy Cross.Carson P. Cooman, January 2009, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USAPERFORMANCE NOTES: The composer prefers a classically-informed Italianate pronunciation of the Latin(church Latin is acceptable). (It is important that V always be pronounced as V, not as the W soundoften used by classical Latinists.)The work is conceived for a chamber choir, as a larger choir would not balance the timbres of the baroqueinstruments. It is suggested that 16–24 singers be employed (no fewer than 12).As with much early repertoire, dynamic and expressive markings are kept to a minimum. It is expected thatdirector and performers will inflect lines expressively and naturally. The organ part is notated for a small portatiforgan with pull-down pedal (with no independent pedal stops). If played on a larger instrument, this smallerregistration plan should be kept in mind so as to create balance with the instruments and choir.

SATB choir, flute and piano (ad lib.) - Moderately Difficult - Digital Download SKU: MQ.7540-E Composed by Derek Healey. Instrument part. 9 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #7540-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.7540-E). English. These songs are dedicated to William Osborne. The title Three Sacred Songs: was given to these pieces rather than the more usual terms anthem or motet because of the strongly secular presence in the texts. The songs were written over a period of some eighteen months. The Shepherd Lad was finished on February 29, 2008. The Round Day and Magdalene’s Song were completed in Brooklyn on June 11, 2009, the music having been originally sketched-out on Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2008, at Putnam Valley, New York. In the first song, The Round Day, the singer hears the voice of the Blessed Virgin Mary as she sings to the glory of God throughout the day. The text was written on June 7, 2008. In The Shepherd Lad, the Spanish mystic Saint John of the Cross describes a shepherd lad’s (Jesus’s) love for a shepherdess (the Church) and how another (the Devil) tempted his love away. Heartbroken, the shepherd climbed a tree, “And threw wide his arms in sweetest charity, Since by His Shepherdess He was forsaken.†The original Spanish text was translated and adapted into Villanelle form by the composer in early December 2004. The text of Magdalene’s Song describes the feelings of a mystic, or a devotee of Jesus, inspired by the fresh beauty, grace and power of the Lord of creation. The main body of the text is given to a soprano solo. The text was written on April 27, 2008. These sacred songs were conceived as being performed either as a set or individually. The composer had secular ensembles in mind, such as college or concert choruses, but these songs may, of course, also be performed in a liturgical setting. The accompanying flute provides introductions, interludes and codas throughout the set and, on a few occasions, plays with the voices. The piano part is ad lib. (optional).

Octavo. 98 pages. Christian Music Ministries #6135917. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927456). Rock - a worship musical.Full piano score with SATB choir, solo parts and narration.Starting in Caesarea, Peter's story unfolds in flashback. From fishing, his 3 years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus calls Peter 'the Rock' - but we see that only in Christ, and filled with His Spirit, is Peter on solid ground.Synopsis Traditional words introduce the theme of the Musical: Jesus is our ROCK OF AGES, but the story starts IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. Here, centurion Cornelius declares I’ve had a vision - but who can explain it, who can help? Cornelius’ household tell of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus, and we are taken back to Galilee when Peter, a fisherman, WORKING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, hears Jesus’ call to leave your nets and leave your boats. He responds I WILL FOLLOW YOU. For three years Peter follows Jesus, and when challenged declares YOU ARE MESSIAH, the Son of the living God! Jesus replies On this rock I will build my church, then, ominously, points towards Jerusalem. He and his followers eventually arrive in the city at Passover, and during the meal they wonder IN THIS BREAD, IN THIS WINE, is there love for me? At first reluctant, Peter allows Jesus to wash his feet. Events turn against Jesus; he is arrested, and Peter is afraid. The taunt SURELY YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WITH HIM sees Peter denying he ever knew Jesus. Then their eyes meet across the courtyard, and Peter is devastated by his own failure. But even at such an awful time as this, THE LOOK OF LOVE contains acceptance and hope. WERE YOU THERE WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED MY LORD? Peter wasn’t - he was in hiding along with many of the disciples. But after the resurrection, Jesus greets Peter and the others in Galilee: THIS IS THE PLACE – I am the Lord who comes to meet you here. Jesus asks: SIMON PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME? After being asked three times Peter reaches reality: Lord, you know everything … you know how much I love you! and receives the commission Feed my sheep. Peter and the disciples return to Jerusalem, and wait for the promised Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the Spirit comes, and as A CHOSEN PEOPLE, the followers of Jesus receive his power. Peter preaches, and thousands believe and respond JUST AS I AM … O Lamb of God I come. The Church is born and in the power of the Spirit begin WORKING IN THE FATHER’S BUSINESS, doing the things that Jesus did! Peter eventually arrives IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. He shares his vision with Cornelius and his household, and declares God has no favourites … you can be saved too … if you believe in Jesus. They believe, receive the power of the Spirit, and Gentiles also become members of the Chosen People, called out of darkness into wonderful light! Peter’s vision is fulfilled – the Gospel is for all who believe in Jesus. Peter declares HE IS THE STONE that the builders rejected … on Jesus the ROCK I will build my life! .

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD (SSATB) – John 1:1-18

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.926671 Composed by Michael A. Morizio. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 24 pages. M.A. Morizio #3588445. Published by M.A. Morizio (A0.926671). My dear friend, and Pastor Don Colageo and I cut our teeth together with this piece when we decided to dive headlong into this cycle of Seven Anthems to Christ. It was the second song of the (SEVEN ANTHEMS TO CHRIST) cycle that I had composed, but the first using his Greek translation(s). It eventually would become the last piece to grace the cycle of seven in order of my musical presentation sequence. In fact, this known 1st century Hymn to Christ spans 18 verses of the first chapter of the Gospel of John. My setting of the anthem is seven plus minutes long in performance length. The song's length was not on purpose, but the number seven does have Biblical significance (seven days of creation, seven golden lamp stands, etc.) The number seven is also known among Biblical scholars as the number of Holiness and Perfect Creation. Since this rather long, yet theologically complete Hymn to Christ already existed in the 1st century, it is no wonder the Apostle John opted to begin his Gospel with it, probably quoting the entire text. Consequently, he converted this particular Hymn to Christ’s lyrics into what would later become canonized Scripture. The anthem is composed for SSATB with solo SSA trio, and Solo Soprano and Solo Baritone lines, accompanied by Flute and B♠Clarinet. The key signature of the anthem is B♠Major. However, a lot of time is spent weaving and bobbing around the Dominant chord, (F Major). The Flute and Clarinet introduction play seven different motifs, interweaving with counterpoint, musically connoting the dual natures of Christ--fully God, and fully man. An SSA trio opens the piece recounting the creation story. A bass solo shortly follows, introducing John the baptizer's story and purpose. Soon, the anthem breaks out into full SSATB illustrating Christ's life and purpose for our salvation. The final coda is the great Doxology, sung in 5 parts, accompanied by the Flute and Clarinet, and the entire congregation (or audience) is invited to sing along with the familiar tune.
