Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Baritone Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148916 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Instructional,March,Opera,Romantic Period. 10 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #749049. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1148916). This arrangement adapted for baritone saxophone trio was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, that is, inspiring and significant to the already known choral symphony by Beethoven, indicated to be performed by young music students, who want to enter the symphonic music, moreover, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change in key, so that it is comfortable for all instruments in the formation, thus maintaining the essence of the striking melody, as well as using it for ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Op. 125 incorporates part of the poem An die Freude (To Joy), a hymn written by Friedrich Schiller, with the text sung by soloists and a choir in its last movement. It was the first example of a major composer using the human voice as prominently as the instruments in a symphony, thus creating a far-reaching work that set the tone for the symphonic form that was to be adopted by Romantic composers. This is the last complete symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. The choral symphony, better known as the Ninth Symphony or The Ninth, is one of the best known works in the Western repertoire, considered both an icon and predecessor of Romantic music, and one of Beethoven's great masterpieces, where it was first performed on May 7, 1824, the same year it was completed, at the Kärntnertortheater in Vienna, Austria. The conductor was Michael Umlauf, the theater's music director, and Beethoven - dissuaded from conducting by the advanced stage of his deafness - was given a special place on the stage next to the conductor. It was later rearranged by Herbert von Karajan to become the anthem of the European Union in 1972, the national anthem of Rhodesia from 1974 until 1979, Rise, O Voices of Rhodesia, used the tune Ode to Joy..

Saxophone Trio and piano - Grade 2.75 - Digital Download SKU: DX.129305 Composed by Priscilla J. Owens. Arranged by Dana F. Everson. Sacred instrumental music. Sheet Music. Traditional. Score and parts. 8 pages. David E. Smith - Digital Sheet Music #129305. Published by David E. Smith - Digital Sheet Music (DX.129305). An accompanied saxophone (A-A-A/T) trio beginning with a piano introduction. The first section is a blocked harmony in the saxes with the first carrying the melody. The second section uses the same underlying rhythmic patterns but now the structure is in a different meter (quadruple vs the previous triple) which gives an extended feeling. A couple modulations take place and the style becomes smooth and expressive. This all leads towards the Coda where the whole premise shifts the moods of the beginning where it increases in tension and ends with solid impact.

Smith - Digital Sheet Music #129321. Published by David E. Smith - Digital Sheet Music (DX.129321). An accompanied sax trio (A-A-A/T) opening with an exciting motive. The first rendition is in block harmonies with occasional rhythmic punctuations. The next section has subtle contrapuntal statements amongst all parts giving a joyous texture. After a modulation the ensemble alternates between solo statements and full ensemble giving contrasts in texture and color. Another modulation ensues where imitative motives take place through the voices only to come together in a solid fashion for an exciting ending.Key of Ab, C, F.

La Paloma is a popular Spanish song that has been produced and reinterpreted in diverse cultures, settings, arrangements, and recordings over the last 140 years. The song was composed and written by the Spanish composer from the Basque region Sebastián Iradier (later Yradier) after he visited Cuba in 1861. Iradier may have composed La Paloma around 1863, just two years before he died in Spain in obscurity, never to learn how popular his song would become. La Paloma belongs to a genre of songs called Habaneras, a musical style developed in 19th-century Spain that is still today very much present in the form of folk songs and formal compositions, particularly in the Northern Basque Region and East Coast (Catalonia and Valencia) regions of the country. Like all Habaneras, its characteristic and distinct rhythm reflects the fusion of the local Cuban songs that the Spanish sailors of the time brought back with them from their travels to the island, with the rhythm structure of the flamenco tanguillo gaditano (original from Cádiz, Andalusia). Very quickly La Paloma became popular outside of Spain, particularly in Mexico, and soon spread around the world. In many places, including Afghanistan, Hawaii, the Philippines, Germany, Romania, Zanzibar, and Goa it gained the status of a quasi-folk song. Over the years the popularity of La Paloma has surged and receded periodically, but never subsided. It may be considered one of the first universal popular hits and has appealed to artists of diverse musical backgrounds.[1] There are more than one thousand versions of this song, and that together with Yesterday by the Beatles, is one of the most recorded songs in the history of music. Veni, Veni, Emmanuel, also known as O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, is a Christian hymn for Advent. It has ancient origins, as the melody synthesizes the great, ancient O Antiphons sung for Vespers during Advent. The familiar tune, Veni Emmanuel, was first linked with this hymn in 1851, when Thomas Helmore published it in the Hymnal Noted, paired with an early revision of Neale's English translation. While the Veni Emmanuel tune predominates in the English-speaking world, several others have been closely associated with the hymn.O Come, O Come, Emmanuel has been used in popular culture as a significant and enduring hymn, particularly during Advent and Christmas. Its universal themes of hope, longing, and the anticipation of the arrival of Jesus Christ have resonated with listeners of different generations, evoking strong emotions and connecting them to the deeper meaning of Christmas and Advent. The song's profound impact on listeners, touching hearts and stirring emotions, has contributed to its enduring popularity. Various artists have sung it, featuring it in numerous Christmas albums and performances, further solidifying its place in popular culture. Therefore, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel holds a special significance in popular culture due to its timeless message and emotional impact on listeners.

Baroque,Sacred,Standards. 179 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3387883. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534363). The Six Trio Sonatas, BWV 525-530 were composed about 1727 during Bach’s period in Leipzig. They were not composed for organ, but (according to Forkel, Bach’s first biographer whose information came from Bach’s son Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach) for the pedal harpsichord as means of improiving the pedal technique of his son Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. This instrument, which requires a great deal of precision in performance, contains a normal harpsichord with two manuals attached to a pedal board which activates another harpsichord which is lower to the ground. Many of the movements in these Italian sonatas were used in other settings, in Bach’s Cantatas and in other instrumental works.Bach always tuned his own keyboards and confided his tuning system to his student Johann Kimberger (1721-1788) who used this information to devise several tuning schemes to create a well-tempered system according to Bach’s ideas. The main principal that Bach gave Kimberger was that all thirds should be tuned slightly sharp (...alle grossen Terzen scharf). The saxophone is an ideal instrument to experiment with this sort of tuning, given the possibilities for adjustment in the embouchure. Nothing can replace a good set of ears in the process and use of electronic tuning devices should be avoided, unless they can be specifically programmed to reflect these sorts of non-standard tunings.Sonata no. 1 in Eb major, BWV 525 Sonata no. 2 in c minor , BWV 526 Sonata no. 3 in d minor, BWV 527 Sonata no. 4 in e minor, BWV 528 Sonata no. 5 in C major, BWV 529 Sonata no. 6 in G major, BWV 530
