Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.590472 Composed by David McKeown. Holiday,Love,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6211991. Published by David McKeown (A0.590472). Liebe, (German for Love),is a beautiful original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for one Trumpet and one Alto Saxophone. This duet is inspired by the German Baroque style, particularly the slow compound-time compositions of JS Bach and the canonic sonatas written by GP Telemann. Both composers filled their works with deep emotion, transcending the strict musical rules of the period. Liebe is a Canon, with the first part following the second throughout, one bar behind, like lovers in intimate conversation.Liebe is written for players at an intermediate standard and upwards. The melody should always carry momentum and adding plenty of expression will help convey the style. Liebe has a performance time of around three minutes. 7.40pm, Traditional Klezmer tune for Trumpet and Tenor Saxophone Duet
Trumpet, Saxophone (duet)
Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Tenor Saxophone,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Tenor Saxophone,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589001 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David McKeown. Folk,Hanukkah,Jewish,World. Score and parts. 6 pages. David McKeown #6017121. Published by David McKeown (A0.589001). 7.40pm is a traditional Russian Jewish tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for one Trumpet and one Tenor Saxophone. It isn’t completely clear where the title 7.40pm comes from. One interpretation is that 7.40pm was the time the Odessa tram conductors finished work and danced to this tune. But there are versions titled 7.40am which may refer to the time of Jewish early morning prayers. Whatever the origin, there are several Russian recordings of 7.40pm that predate the 1917 revolution.7.40pm is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a slow and expressively beginning, the melody switches to dance tempo. 7.40pm is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of 7.40pm is perfect for recital and concert performances, both formal and informal. Click the link above to listen to a full Youtube performance of the Clarinet version of this duet. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

O Christmas Tree, (O Tannenbaum), Jazz style, for Trumpet and Alto Saxophone Duet
Trumpet, Saxophone (duet)
Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download

Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.594323 Composed by Ernst Anschütz. Arranged by David McKeown. Christmas,Jazz,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6574691. Published by David McKeown (A0.594323). O Christmas Tree, (O Tannenbaum), is a much-loved Christmas song. This version is arranged as a duet in a Jazz Waltz/Swing style for one Trumpet and one Alto Saxophone. Click on the YouTube link above to listen to a full length performance of this arrangement played on Clarinet. The melody of O Christmas Tree is Polish in origin and dates back to the sixteenth century. The lyrics we know and love were added much later by German composer Ernst Anschütz in 1824. The lyrics were originally a homage to the fir tree, using the evergreen foliage as a metaphor for constancy and loyalty. The association with Christmas appeared later in the nineteenth century. With a performance time of three minutes and a half minutes, this version of O Christmas Tree is perfect for seasonal celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal. The jazz waltz style is a fun and fresh take on this familiar traditional tune.O Christmas Tree is arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. Rhythms are syncopated, as one would expect in jazz waltz music, and there is plenty of articulation detail to help deliver an authentic style. While the key is straightforward, there are several busy passages to keep players on their toes. The melody is played four times, the last in 4/4 time with a short coda. This arrangement is suitable for players at an intermediate level.
