I'm the wind that laughs It wraps you up until the summer returns ... Monica Bergo

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012713 Composed by Monica Bergo. Contemporary. Score. 10 pages. Moni Bergo #5742995. Published by Moni Bergo (A0.1012713). Music and song composed by me ALL AS BEFORE Tired flower bends the head photos in carved marble sad smell of the past along your tree-lined avenue how much peace in this place where you stand hidden cobwebs on your time and the scent of regret while I touch your beautiful face I ask myself who decided that your time would stop and that for you all would be over I, minstrel of my time, tell a thousand stories chronicles written in pencil real-life stories story now finished my fingers still drive, find notes and then the enchantment to disperse them in the wind there was a king in love, by a bewitched spell, with the madwoman his queen and everything comes back as before there tucked away in a corner There is a pathetic clown Look closer: it’s a little girl and everything comes back as before You clown what would you do? You want to approach the king and then you want to tell him of her polluted heart but him, he does not want to be touched and you have to amuse her smile and do not tire continue your ... dance ... in the void and silence suspended in time for your queen and everything comes back as before before your leap do you want to fly high mixed-up Icarus you have fallen into emptiness the beating of the heart makes too much noise rumbles here within into emptiness and silence no, do not love me, now or ever and hang on till the ultimate pain she'll pressure you and insinuate herself into your mind and end by doing you harm but I invisible to your eyes and I want to hug you, you do not want I would like to tell you what you do not know of me and then on swings of fantasy my hand close to yours we'll soar to the heights where she is not there if you want I will reinvent myself for you And I may please you ,I know but with your eyes you’ve already answered me and hidden I'll go .. The winter does not end the cold seems eternal here the sun dies ,effaces itself and then disappears Once upon a time there was or still is, who knows a minstrel that no longer has a court and he belongs to nobody, and no one will stop him while closing the door ,the king will delete him abracadabra here in my Kingdom nothing caresses, no kiss of goodby my name in history was written in pencil to be able to delete from a faded page the mind has its woodworm and you can not heal it past, present and she who reigns everywhere pages of your life flowing through my fingers for a king, tired and sick, who has not had a happy ending the spell is broken and now the veil has fallen regret makes its way into him and the minstrel would approach him puppet in love ,now disconnected from your wires seek your child and there is nothing like before there is the sunset in your eyes but I'm here by your side a daddy and his little girl and there is nothing like before .... ..... the be.

Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.988442 Composed by Carl Czerny (1791-1857). Arranged by KlavarScore. Instructional,Romantic Period. Score. 31 pages. KlavarScore #6667881. Published by KlavarScore (A0.988442). Book 1, containing the exercises 1-22 from Carl Czerny's 110 Easy and Progressive Exercices as an addition to the free Klavarscore Beyer Piano Course (See https://www.klavarscore.org). This book is in Letter/A4 format, suitable for printing, and is also available in A5 (Half Letter) format for sight-reading from a tablet or e-bookreader. In this book you will find links for free download of the audio files and KlavarScore Scrolling files, so you can play these pieces (with an appropriate app) from your cellphone, tablet or desktop PC. Perhaps not only for exercising, but also because it is such nice music to play and hear..... The Video example shown on this site is exercise No.16, the audio example is exercise No.22 Books 2, 3 and 4, each also containing 22 exercises are also available. Book 5, also containing 22 exercises will be coming soon. By practicing the exercises found in this and the remaining 4 books of this series, the student will quickly discover how Czerny must have intended these to be much more than simple exercises. As exercises, Czerny would of course want them to be meticulously practiced, revisited and improved upon, but in doing so, students will find them to be very pleasurable pieces of music to play, even for the enjoyment of an audience. These books contain instructions in Czerny's own words. Translations of Czerny's words are included in the Prefaces or in some cases as footnotes after the exercises, regarding choosing a proper tempo, the proper playing of ornaments, etc., mostly taken from Czerny's Piano School, Opus 500. In this way, Czerny himself becomes the teacher to students in need of one. Carl Czerny (1791-1857) was an Austrian composer, teacher, and pianist of Czech origin whose vast musical production amounted to over a thousand works. His books of studies for the piano are still widely used in piano teaching. He was one of Beethoven's numerous pupils, Franz Liszt was his most famous pupil. Source: Wikipedia. Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.948699 Composed by Mark S. Massey. …
(+)
Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.948699 Composed by Mark S. Massey. 20th Century,Jazz. Score. 3 pages. Geofonica Artistworks #6038073. Published by Geofonica Artistworks (A0.948699). Flowers For Dorothy is a beautiful jazz waltz (in lead-sheet format here) from pianist Mark Massey's breakthrough jazz LP: API: Acoustic Piano International, performed by Mark Massey and his trio (Eric Stiller on acoustic bass and Aldo Bentivegna on drums). In the vein of great jazz waltzes like Someday My Prince Will come, Emily, and Waltz for Debby.ABOUT MARK:In 2018, the California State Assembly and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors issued proclamations recognizing Mark Massey as a Jazz Living Legend. Jazz pianist-composer Mark Massey was born and raised in Lynwood, California, where he showed early talent on piano, trombone, and drums. During high school, he studied classical piano and played in the bands Synopsis (with future trumpet giant Wayne Bergeron), and Sabor (with Poncho Sanchez and the Banda Brothers). Mark played in the Pico Rivera Stage Band, which won First Place at the Hollywood Bowl Battle of the Bands. Mark graduated from California State University, Long Beach (with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music), where he was recipient of the Carmen Dragon Fellowship for composition and he was dubbed A Young Giant by the National Association Of Jazz Educators. Mark has performed throughout the U.S., Europe, the former Soviet Union (in the 1980s), Russia (2001), the Far East and India. He has worked with Larry Carlton, David Benoit, Paul Horn, Hubert Laws, Louie Bellson, the Side Street Strutters, Phil Upchurch, L. Subramaniam, Freddie Hubbard, Maynard Ferguson, Yehudi Menuhin, Stéphane Grappelli, and Tony Williams. Mark was featured in The Four Pianos In Concert series along with pianists Paul Smith, Pete Jolly and Steve Allen. Mark Massey's debut CD, Acoustic Piano International, has received wide airplay on jazz radio. API featured nine of Mark's original jazz compositions--including Flowers for Dorothy, offered here--inspired by his musical excursions around the globe, along with Eric Stiller (bass) and Aldo Bentivegna (drums), and guest artists Alex Acuña, percussion (Weather Report), Justo Almario, flute (Mongo Santamaria), Plas Johnson, tenor sax (The Pink Panther Theme), Bob Mintzer, soprano sax (The Yellow Jackets), and Ron Stout, flugelhorn, More recently, Mark has been recording his iconic Jazz Thoughts for the Day albums of original jazz improvisional compositions for each day of the year. Jazz Thoughts for the months of January through July have thus far been issued. COMMENTS FROM MAJOR CRITIC REVIEWS OF MARK MASSEY: Mark Massey is awfully good. His friendly, lyrical, melodic piano has a sound unto itself, API Coverbop and post-bop influenced, contemporarily informed, and languishing solidly in the modern mainstream. ...This is a very good trio that is together in many aspects of jazz expressionism. In larger, more interactive settings, Massey proves he has ideas that work well. ...Massey's talent being exposed is a breakthrough. A majority of jazz listeners should find this a worthwhile purchase, and a keeper. Recommended.----MICHAEL G. NASTOS, ALL MUSIC GUIDE (CD review of Acoustic Piano International) Mark Massey is an excellent straight-ahead pianist who often appears in the L.A. area. ...his playing is consistently appealing. Of the trio numbers, the often-introspective Flowers For Dorothy, the heated Limejuicer Blues, and Seraphs Of Terpsichore are highlights. The opening track, Que Garota Linda, is a particularly rewarding Latin jazz number... All in all, a well-rounded and easily enjoyable release from pianist Mark Massey.----SCOTT YANOW (author of the books Swing and Bebop : The Essential Listening Companion), in L.A. JAZZ SCENE The Mark Massey Trio makes an exciting impression... Massey has traveled the world, perfor.

Timothy Stapay #809498. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1211946). Easter Parade by Irving Berlin, is arranged as played by legendary piano showman, Liberace. Here for the first time is the sheet music for this famous song, arranged as performed by Liberace. Now you can learn to play this classic Easter Season song, just like this world-famous pianist.Easter Parade is a popular song, written by Irving Berlin and published in 1933. Berlin originally wrote the melody in 1917, under the title Smile and Show Your Dimple, as a cheer up song for a girl whose man has gone off to fight in World War I.  Berlin resurrected the tune, with modifications, and gave it the now-familiar Easter lyrics for the 1933 Broadway musical revue As Thousands Cheer, in which musical numbers were strung together on the thematic thread of newspaper headlines. In 1942, it was featured in the musical film Holiday Inn, in which it was performed by Bing Crosby. In 1948, it was performed by Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in the musical film Easter Parade, which was constructed around the song.Władziu Valentino Liberace(May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor. A child prodigy born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin, he enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069959 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Pop,Rock. Accompaniment. Duration 184. Boothe Publishing #4633665. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069959). Most of the mistakes I made in life were between the ages of 12-16 years. Somehow I felt that I was smarter than I was. I thought that my friends were smarter than they were. I felt invincible. I made many foolish mistakes during those years. About that time, my family was preparing to move from Oregon to Utah. I remember my mother talking with me and saying that I could start over again. We would be in a new place with new people. No one would know me. I could be the person I truly wanted to be. I thought about this a lot, and when we finally made the move I had decided what kind of person I really wanted to be. In fact, I felt bad for being the wrong kind of person and hurting other people physically and spiritually. I eventually felt so bad about my mistakes that I decided that I would write or call the people I had hurt and apologize to them. Over the period of a year I was able to find, call and apologize to each of them. To my great surprise none of them were still angry with me. I was forgiven. That was a great feeling. This day will be forever what you choose. Once you leave this life you won't be able to return and right any wrongs that you have committed. So when you make a mistake, choose to make it right today so that this day, this day of good choosing will be what will last forever. Never let yourself do something that you know inside is wrong. If your friends are trying to talk you into doing something you know is wrong, don't just sit there and listen to them. Get up and leave the room, or the party, or the situation. Be true. Be the one. Be the son or daughter of God. Do what He would do.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1135456 Composed by Carl Czerny. Arranged by KlavarScore. 19th Century,Instructional,Romantic Period. Score. 25 pages. KlavarScore #735494. Published by KlavarScore (A0.1135456). Book 5, containing the exercises 89-110 from Carl Czerny's 110 Easy and Progressive Exercices as an addition to the free Klavarscore Beyer Piano Course (See www.klavarscore.org). This book in Half-Letter/A5 format can be sight-read from a tablet or e-book reader. It is also possible to print two pages on one Letter/A4 sheet in landscape orientation. In this book you will find links for free download of the audio files and KlavarScore Scrolling files, so you can play these pieces (with an appropriate app) from your cellphone, tablet or desktop PC. Perhaps not only for exercising, but also because it is such nice music to play and hear..... Books 1-4, also containing 22 exercises each are also available.

It constantly amazes me how many outstanding composer/pianists there are out there - especially in relation to the few who are highly (commercially) successful within this broad genre. I would say that Active Imagination definitely belongs near the top of the heap. Isadar’s style is original, and his pianism is excellent. He lists his inspirations as Liz Story, Keith Jarrett, and Bill Evans, and I can hear traces of all three in his playing, but find his composing and playing styles to be uniquely his own.<br> <br> The first three tracks are lively and upbeat (“Active Imagination”, “Throwing the Dice”, and “Where the Wild Things Are”) with an easy, jazzy, improvised feel. Isadar’s cover of Liz Story’s “Wedding Rain” is wonderful - this is a piece I often work on with my advanced students, and everything about Isadar’s interpretation of the piece seems right without being a carbon-copy of Liz’s recording.<br> <br> “Feu Follet (the ‘spook’ light’)” has a nice, easy flow with a strong sense of mystery; it also has an unusual rhythm that lightens the mood and adds a bounce. “Uncertainty” is cooler and more aloof, but gorgeous in its flowing introspection - that it ends with a major chord, feels like the soul-searching has had positive results. “Love Chaconne” is the closing track, and is the longest and most abstract piece on the CD. The left hand plays a repeated pattern while the right hand goes off in several different directions (one of the primary characteristics of a “chaconne”). Beautiful in its simplicity, this is the only track that seems to contain an element of pain and sorrow, but never dissolves into melodrama.<br> <br> Active Imagination is excellent from start to finish and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes solo piano with substance and complexity, but is still accessible, melodic, and rhythmic. Bravo amundo!<br> <br> Active Imagination Sheet Music Collection is the companion songbook to Isadar’s 1999 CD release, Active Imagination. The CD was one of my favorites for the year when I reviewed it for the print version of “Wind and Wire” magazine, so I was really looking forward to the sheet music! Transcribed note-for-note by David Shenton of ShentonMusic.com (I proofed about half of the book, so I can attest to how accurate it is!), it is up to you to make the music sound as close to the CD as you want or to interpret the music and make your own statements with it.<br> <br> One thing that really stands out about this collection is how much FUN it is to play. The rhythms are interesting and catchy, and the mood in several of the songs is playful and upbeat. This is especially true with the title song, “Throwing the Dice,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” and “Feu Follet (the ‘spook’ light).” “Waiting,” “Love Chaconne,” and “Uncertainty” are slower, more introspective, and a bit moody, making this a sheet music collection that contains a variety of moods and styles. The only piece missing from the book is Liz Story’s “Wedding Rain,” but the sheet music for that song is available in some of Ms. Story’s own collections.<br> <br> Early-advanced players should have no trouble with this music. The timing on some of the songs is a little bit tricky, but if you count it as you are learning it, it will fall into place.<br> <br> If you haven’t heard the CD, check it out, too! Piano Solo - Advanced - Digital Download Composed by Sigismond Thalberg (1812-1871). Arranged by Editions Melodia. Romantic Period. 10 pages. Published by James Keenan
Originally a poem written by Thomas Moore in 1805, "The Last Rose of Summer" is based upon the Irish traditional tune of "Aislean an Oigfear", or "The Young Man's Dream."
Sigismond Thalberg was one of the most famous and most successful piano composers of the 19th century. During the 1830s and the 1840s his style was a major force in European piano-playing.[57] He was greatly in fashion and was imitated by others.[58] In 1852, Wilhelm von Lenz wrote:
'The piano playing of the present day, to tell the truth, consists only of Thalberg simple, Thalberg amended, and Thalberg exaggerated; scratch what is written for the piano, and you will find Thalberg.'
Ten years later, in 1862, a London correspondent of the Revue et gazette musicale wrote:
'Nobody in fact has been so much imitated; his manner has been parodied, exaggerated, twisted, tortured, and it may have happened more than once to all of us to curse this Thalbergian school'.
Expressions like "exaggerated", "twisted" and "tortured" indicate that some contemporaries were starting to feel jaded of his style. It was at this time when Thalberg's career as composer and as virtuoso came to an end.
In the late 19th century, Thalberg's fame had come to depend on his association with a single piano technique, the 'three-hand effect'. Carl Friedrich Weitzmann, in his Geschichte des Klavierspiels (1879), wrote about this.
'His bravura pieces, fantasies on melodies from Rossini's Mosè and La donna del lago, on motifs from Bellini's Norma and on Russian folk-songs, became extraordinarily popular through his own, brilliant execution; however, they treat their subjects always in one and the same way, [namely] ... to let the tones of a melody be played in the medium octave of the keyboard now by the thumb of the right, now of the left hand, while the rest of the fingers are executing arpeggios filling the whole range of the keyboard.'
