Furia Flamenca es una obra pianística de gran formato en que las armonías del estilo flamenco español se funden con el pianismo romántico. Obra de gran dificultad, basa su estructura en el desarrollo y variación de varios motivos melódicos. En cuanto al carácter, exprime del piano una variada gama de recursos expresivos y técnicos para poder llegar a la esencia y el temperamento del flamenco, pues aunque predominan pasajes de gran fuerza y virtuosismo (de ahí el título), también encontramos momentos intimistas y cantables, así como episodios pintorescos cargados de expresividad, siempre recalcando en las indicaciones el temperamento psicológico de cada sección.
