Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.581938 Composed by John Gibson. Contemporary. 102 pages. JB Linear #3494757. Published by JB Linear (A0.581938). Extinction Events by John Gibson Written for clarinet choir, it is a four movement work lasting about 11 minutes and is for very advanced players. The movements are: Buzzy Delights (Honey Bees), It Isn't Easy Being a Cuckoo, Jaguar Surprise, and Walrus Jump. Each movement imagines a different animal or insect living in its habitat as it gradually deteriorates. One might think this would be sad, violent music, but each earthly creature is shown in its musical habitat where it happily does what it does best....bees buzzing around flowers, cuckoos gently calling in the forest, Walruses jumping not so gracefully onto sea ice, Jaguars quietly stalking their prey. The habitat changes are depicted by gradual use of unstable scales, and the sometimes hidden ancient tune of the Dies Irae, the Day of Wrath. The point I wish to make is how humans must be watchful of wildlife habitats because we are all in this limited world together. Where wild creatures go, so do we. It was best said by Jane Goodall: Only if we understand can we care. Only if we care will we help. Only if we help shall they be saved. The parts included are: Eb soprano clarinet, Bb clarinet 1-2-3, alto clarinet (with an alternate 4th Bb clarinet part), bass clarinet, and BBb Contra/EEb Contralto.

Woodwind Ensemble Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108227 Composed by…

Woodwind Ensemble Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108227 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 25 pages. Regis Bookshar #710854. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1108227). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Clarinet Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Clarinet Quintet, consisting of 5 Bb Clarinets and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (25 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Clarinet Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Woodwind Ensemble Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813941 Composed by German Folk Song. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. 8 pages. Regis Bookshar #6631143. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813941). Clarinet Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of O Christmas Tree, or in German, O Tannenbaum, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts and recitals, and, perhaps, even church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of part (8 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.O Christmas Tree is a German Christmas song based on a traditional folk song which was unrelated to Christmas. The custom of the Christmas tree developed in the course of the 19th century, and the song came to be seen as a Christmas carol. The modern lyrics were written in 1824 by the Leipzig organist, teacher and composer, Ernst Anschutz. A tannenbaum is a fir tree. The lyrics do not actually refer to Christmas or describe a decorated tree. Instead, they refer to the fir's evergreen quality as a symbol of constancy and faithfulness. In this arrangement of O Christmas Tree, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic outline of this familiar song, but has inserted a short interlude, which brings to mind the sound of alphorns, or alpenhorns, instruments which may be made from red pine, or fir trees. and are used by mountain dwellers in the Bavarian Alps. I think that students will enjoy this imitative section in the song. In addition to this version for a Clarinet Quintet, there are also other arrangements of O Christmas Tree available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. Clarinet Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,Bassethorn,Contra Alto Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1500810 By Rick Astley. By Matthew Aitken, Mike Stock, and Peter Waterman. Arranged by David Boyd. Pop. 30 pages. David Boyd #1076879. Published by David Boyd (A0.1500810). IntroductionNever Gonna Give You Up, a classic pop anthem by Rick Astley, has been reimagined for clarinet choir, bringing its infectious melody and driving rhythm into a new, sonorous setting. This arrangement captures the essence of the original while exploring the rich timbral possibilities of the clarinet family. It aims to provide a fun and engaging performance experience for players and an entertaining piece for audiences.Instrumentation:E-flat ClarinetB-flat Clarinet 1B-flat Clarinet 2B-flat Clarinet 3B-flat Clarinet 4B-flat Clarinet 5B-flat Clarinet 6 (Alternate E-flat Clarinet)B-flat Clarinet 7 (Alternate E-flat Alto Clarinet)Basset Horn in F (Alternate E-flat Alto Clarinet)E-flat Alto ClarinetB-flat Bass Clarinet 1B-flat Bass Clarinet 2B-flat Bass Clarinet 3E-flat Contra Alto ClarinetB-flatContrabass ClarinetDrum Kit (optional)I encourage you to adapt this instrumentation to your ensemble as needed. Alternate B-flat parts are provided. The alto clarinet solo is cued in both the Basset Horn and Clarinet 7 part. The Clarinet 1 solo is cued an octave lower in Clarinet 2.Structure and FormThe arrangement retains much of the original song's form in a condensed format, including the iconic intro, verse, and chorus. It omits the bridge entirely. Careful attention has been given to the balance and texture, ensuring each section of the clarinet choir contributes to the overall sound.Performance ConsiderationsDynamics and Articulation: Players should pay close attention to the dynamic contrasts throughout the arrangement. The verses should be lighter and more articulate, while the chorus demands a fuller, more resonant sound. Articulations are marked to mimic the vocal phrasing of the original song, so accents and staccatos should be crisp and well-defined.Balance and Blend: Given the diverse range of voices in the clarinet choir, balance is crucial. The melody must always be prominent, particularly in the chorus where it may be in unison across several voices. Ensure that the supporting lines do not overpower the melody, especially in the lower clarinets.Technical Challenges: While the arrangement is accessible to intermediate players, some sections, particularly in the Eb Clarinet and 1st Bb Clarinet parts, may require attention to finger dexterity and breath control. Encourage players to practise these passages slowly, focusing on evenness of tone and clarity.

Woodwind Ensemble Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.782253 By Pentatonix. By Audra Mae, Kevin Olusola, and Kirstin Maldonado. Arranged by James Haynor. Contemporary. 16 pages. James Haynor #4266109. Published by James Haynor (A0.782253). PTX vocal percussionist Kevin Olusola describes Take Me Home as a Boyz II Men-meets-Toto song: I was thinking, oh how do you write a song that kind of combines both of what they do? He brought the idea to Kirsten Maldonado, the group's soprano, and with the help of singer-songwriter Audra Mae. We just wanted it to be five-part harmony, really simple; just an easy melody that people could understand, he explains. Scored here for Clarinet Quintet, the hymn-like nature of the piece is revealed. Duration 3:05

Woodwind Ensemble Clarinet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1377700 Composed by John Wilbye. Arranged by Alan Edgar. Renaissance. 35 pages. Alan Edgar Ted Moon #962294. Published by Alan Edgar Ted Moon (A0.1377700). Instrumentation: Eb Clarinet, four Bb Clarinets, Alto, Bass, Contra-alto and Contrabass Clarinets. The son of a tanner, John Wilbye was born at Brome, Suffolk. Wilbye is probably the most famous of all the English madrigalists; his pieces have long been favourites and are often included in modern collections. His madrigals include Weep, weep mine eyes, Weep, O mine eyes and Draw on, sweet night. He also wrote the poem, Love not me for comely grace. His style is characterized by delicate writing for the voice, acute sensitivity to the text and the use of “false relations between the major and minor modes. The text for this one goes:Ah! cannot sighs not tears, nor aught else move thee To pity me, who more than life do love thee?O cruel fates! see, now away she’s flying,And fly, alas! alas! and leave me dying.Farewell, most fair, farewell, yet more disdainful: Was never grief like mine, nor death more painful. No 30 from the Second Set of Madrigals, 1598. originally for SSATTB a capella. As Wilbye labelled this Apt for Viols or Voices, I felt justified in making this arrangement.
