Solo Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1305660 By Tony Bennett. By Bart Howard. Arranged by FERNANDO LUIZ NEVES. 20th Century,Contemporary,Film/TV,Jazz,Pop. Individual part. 3 pages. Fernando Neves #895115. Published by Fernando Neves (A0.1305660). “Fly Me to the Moonâ€, originally titled “In Other Wordsâ€, is a timeless classic that has captured the hearts of many music lovers. The song was written in 1954 by the talented American composer Bart Howard. The first recording of the song was made in the same year by Kaye Ballard. However, it was Frank Sinatra’s 1964 version that became closely associated with the Apollo missions to the Moon. Sinatra’s rendition elevated the song to new heights and it has since been covered by numerous artists including Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, and Astrud Gilberto. Now, imagine this enchanting melody being interpreted through fingerstyle guitar. The intricate fingerpicking technique could beautifully express the nuances of this timeless tune.Whether you’re a seasoned musician or a beginner, playing “Fly Me to the Moon†on these instruments would be a delightful experience. Enjoy your musical journey! PDF file contains score with and without tablature and also includes chords and fingering. 3 pages.

Guitar - Intermediate - Digital Download SKU: ZY.DO-1522 Composed by Francis Bebey.…
(+)
Guitar - Intermediate - Digital Download SKU: ZY.DO-1522 Composed by Francis Bebey. Arranged by Ingrid Riollot. Score. 5 pages. Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) #DO 1522. Published by Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) (ZY.DO-1522). Son originalité continue de résonner dans le monde entier depuis son décès à la fin du mois de mai 2001.Francis Bebey was born in Douala in July 1929, into a large family where his father, a pastor, struggled to feed his children. But Francis had the opportunity to go to school. Admiring his elder brother, Marcel Eyidi Bebey, he educated himself, distinguished himself, and eventually received a scholarship to go and take his baccalaureate in France. We approached the end of the 1950s when he arrived in La Rochelle. More than ever, in this France where Africans were looked at with curiosity, condescension, or disdain, Francis relied on his intellectual resources. A diligent worker, he obtained his Baccalaureate, then moved to Paris where he started English studies at the Sorbonne. One day, he knew what truly attracted him: he wanted to do radio. Francis learned his craft in France and in the USA.After working for a few years as a reporter, he was hired in 1961 as an international civil servant in the UNESCO Information Department. In parallel, Francis had always been drawn to musical creation. His very serious daytime activity didnâ??t prevent him from frequenting jazz clubs in the evenings. In Paris, the Jazz, the trendy music of that time, but also rumba and salsa attracted him. He collected records and attended numerous concerts. With his accomplice Manu Dibango, Francis took the stage and played music.Francis liked classical music since his childhood. He grew up listening to the cantatas and oratorios of Bach or Handel that his father had sung in the temple. He became passionate about the guitar, impressed by the Spanish and South American masters, and decided to learn to strum the instrument himself. He started composing guitar pieces, blending the various influences that flow through him with the traditional African music he had carried within since childhood. His approach captivated the director of the American Cultural Center (then located in the Saint-Germain neighborhood of Paris), who offered him the opportunity to perform in front of an audience. Francis gave his first guitar recital there (1963) in front of a mesmerized audience. His first solo album was released shortly thereafter.Gradually, Francis became recognized as a musician and composer. Several albums of the African guitar ambassador, as described by the press, were released. He also wrote books, to the point that his artistic career became challenging to reconcile with his career as a civil servant. In 1974, even though he had become the General Manager in charge of music at UNESCO, he took the bold leap and resigned from this prestigious institution to dedicated himself to the three activities that interested him: music, literature, and journalism. He explored the traditional musical heritage of the African continent, notably through the thumb piano sanza, and the polyphonic music of the Central African pygmies, or singing in his native language and composing humoristic songs in French!Success followed. Francis Bebey traveled the world: from France to Brazil, Cameroon to Sweden, Germany to the Carribean, or Morocco to Japan... the list of countries where he was invited to perform, gives lectures, or meets readers is very long. In addition to public recognition, he enjoyed the recognition of his fellow musicians, such as guitarist John Williams or Venezuelan Antonio Lauro, who invited him to be a part of the jury for a classical guitar competition in Caracas. His life was the journey of an African pioneer, a man rooted in his cultural heritage and carrying a message of sharing and hope for the world. His originality continues to vibrate around the world since his passing at the end of May 2001.

Solo Guitar - Digital Download SKU: A0.1031003 Composed by John Philip Sousa 1892. Arranged by Art Carnrick / Arturo. 20th Century,Contemporary,Holiday,Jazz,Patriotic. Individual part. 3 pages. Art Carnrick #2855797. Published by Art Carnrick (A0.1031003). There is not enough good marching / toe tapping patriotic music for guitar solo that is easier to play... what is out there is often too difficult. I arranged this for a 50 year high school reunion. This arrangement is of intermediate difficulty and can be played at 120 to 130 and still sound fine... March tempo is probably 140 to 150 per quarter note. Appropriate for picnics, the parlor, the patriotic, or parishioners in church especially for Memorial day, fourth of July. It will work in a Dixieland style. This is my first submission and I hope to upload more... contact at www.arturoworks.com. .

Solo Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.978129 Composed by Arcangelo Corelli, Daniel Gottlob Turk, Dionisio Aguado, Dzyabenko, Georg Philipp Telemann, Hurlebush, I.S.Bach, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Johann Pachelbel, Krieger, Wiese, Wittgauer, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Valery Dzyabenko. Baroque,Country,Instructional,World. Individual part. 86 pages. Valery Dzyabenko #5354397. Published by Valery Dzyabenko (A0.978129). The collection of polyphonic pieces for classical guitar is intended for students of children's music schools. The complexity of the pieces is designed so that you can start learning polyphony even from 1st grade, and then up to 5th or 7th. Here you will find guitar arrangements of music by European composers of the 17th and 18th centuries. The collection contains many works that are not found in other publications. For example, the famous JS Bach's aria from Suite No. 3. The arrangement is performed in a comfortable key in C major, in good harmony with the transmission of almost all voices of this masterpiece of Bach. Or the famous Sarabande from JS Bach's suite. In other publications, it is presented in the key of B minor. In this edition, the Sarabande has been converted to the key minor. Sarabande became available to children. The collection also includes guitar arrangements by composers Mozart, Krieger, Türk, Rameau, Telemann, Aguado, Wiese, Corelli, Vitgauer, Hurlebusch and others.

By Christopher Kachian. For Guitar (Classical). Classic. 76 pages. Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music
ISBN 9781609744724. Traditionally the classic guitar has been either excluded or inadequately represented in orchestration textbooks, resulting in much misinformation about its technique, its practicality in various performance contexts, and its character. The guitar's unique tuning, broad timbral variety and intimate nature pose a formidable challenge to non-guitarist composers, for whom an extensive amount of time would be required to gain even a minimal hands-on acquaintance. For most composers this is an unrealistic expectation, leading to time-consuming consultations and extensive drafting or rewriting. The purpose of this book is to provide the non-guitarist composer with the fundamental tools needed to write idiomatically for the guitar. The first of its kind for the guitar, the reference was written in consultation with dozens of composers and conceived with three types of end users in mind: Experienced composers with a concern for writing idiomatically for the guitar. Guitarists who are commissioning a work from a composer who has never written for the instrument. Libraries that wish to add this essential sourcebook to their music reference section. The very structure of the book reflects the composer's own intuition by addressing such questions as: How is the guitar constructed? What does successful guitar music look like? How is the guitar played? How does the guitarist interpret music and express emotion? Which musical elements and gestures are most effective? How do these elements combine to create an effective pacing of idioms? By examining the parameters of successfully written pieces, The Composer's Desk Reference for the Classic Guitar provides an expedient resource of ideas and illustrations contributing to the fluency of both first-time and seasoned guitar composers.
