Choral Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.801676 Composed by French Carol - unknown. Arranged by Connie Boss. Celtic,Christmas,Irish,Multicultural,Sacred,World. Score. 12 pages. Connie Boss #6403517. Published by Connie Boss (A0.801676). This lovely French carol is about two women that found out that Jesus was born and that he was very special. They went around the town to let everyone know. They made food for Mary and Joseph. They warned others to be very quiet as to not awaken Jesus if he was sleeping. This is in SATB parts with violin and piano accompaniment. It has a unique intro and the last verse has SATB taking turns. cdboss@cvalley.netBring a Torch Jeanette, IsabellaFrench CarolArranged by Connie Boss Bring a torchBring a torchBring a torchBring a torch Jeanette, Isabella. Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella!Bring a torch, to the stable callChrist is born, tell the folk of the villageJesus is born and Mary's calling.Ah![a] Ah! Beautiful is the Mother!Ah! Ah! Beautiful is her Child Who is knocking on the door?Who is it, knocking like that?Open up, we've arranged on a platterLovely cakes that we have brought hereKnock! Knock! Open the door for us!Knock! Knock! Let us celebrate! It is wrong when the Child is sleeping,It is wrong to speak so loud.Silence, now as you gather around HimLest your noise should waken Jesus.Hush! Hush! See how He slumbers;Hush! Hush! See how He's fast asleep! Softly now unto the stable,Softly for a moment come!Look and see how charming is Jesus,Look at Him there,] His cheeks are rosy!Hush! Hush! See how the Child is sleeping;Hush! Hush! See how He smiles in His dreams

Denise Bruckno #6064477. Published by Denise Bruckno (A0.815399). Early level pianists can surely play this well-written arrangement of a beloved French carol, key of F major. It's contrapuntal (single note melodies in both right and left hands) and each part is basically in a five finger position. It's simple, yet, at the same time, interesting, and easy to learn. Lyrics to four verses are included along with a seasonal title page.

Published by CG Publications (A0.882530). This traditional Christmas favorite, “Angels We Have Heard On High,†is set forth here in a lovely but uncomplicated arrangement for 2-Part Mixed Voices (with Optional 3-Part Mixed Voice Ending), and intermediate Piano, to provide a more impressive performance for average pianists than they may feel they are capable of. Although impressive sounding, with its relatively close positioning, it is actually not as challenging to play as it may sound in performance, yet a thoroughly delightful accompaniment.

Published by F & N Enterprise (A0.632033). An excellent arrangement of famous Holiday/Christmas Song Ding Dong! Merrily On High!-Pop Version. The composition is easy to read, fun to play and sound professional when performed. Arranged by Fishel Pustilnik, very well know as Composer/Publisher.His books Jazz & Pop Piano Paradise have become a commercial success and a hit with music teachers and students in Canada. (Thousands books already sold in Canada). They are also starting to enter the US, Brazil, Norway, Russia, Holland, Israel, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Latvia and UK markets. This is a wonderful new publication. These pieces offer much appeal for the young pianist and excellent choice for a supplementary book for students from Grade 3 to 8. Lore Ruschiensky, Editor, (from review in The Canadian Music Teacher) Yesterday I spent at least two pleasure filled hours playing through your imaginatively inventive compositions. Congratulations! I trust students will decide to program your well crafted and entertaining works on recitals and examinations. Review from Dr. Jack Behrens, B.Sc. (Julliard), PH.D (Harvard), Director of Academic Studies, The Glenn Gould School I liked this book the best so far. Great work! You have a gift for melody and your arrangements are very playable. Congratulations on the 3rd Volume. Mark Carlstein, Hal Leonard, Keyboard Publications Editor .

This piece is also available from CG Publications with parts arranged for 2-Part Mixed Voices (with Optional 3-Part Mixed Voice Ending) at: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/angels-we-have-heard-on-high-2-part-mixed-voices-with-piano-accompaniment-22146078.html.

Voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8492-12E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 7 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-12E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-12E). French.Gouvy was known for writing some of the most beautiful melodies of the Romantic period. His style is a combination of German forms and an early French romantic harmonic structure. His writing for the piano in the songs is totally unified in mood and description with the voice, just as the piano is in Schubert’s songs. The equal partnership of the vocal line and piano interact closely to bring the poetry vividly into life with unimaginable artistic heights and unbridled passion. This volume includes Gouvy songs set to 18 poems of Philippe Desportes (1546–1606), and 18 poems of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872). The elements of Romantic love poetry, such as enchanting love and its pain, and the personifying of nature, are fluently described with a great sensitivity in both voice and piano. Gouvy’s melody stir up the imagination because of his special treatment of words through a distinguishable and melodious vocal line, and his story telling and poetic treatment and development of the piano accompaniment. His compositional artistry places him in the upper echelons of art-song composers. One should note that Gouvy had a special fondness for the 16th Century poetry of La Pléiade (a group of Renaissance French poets, led by Pièrre de Ronsard (1524–1585). Desportes was truly the heir to Ronsard; however his work, when compared to that of Ronsard, is filled with greater abstraction and greater fluidity. Desportes seems to avoid any of the passionate anger that is occasionally characteristic of La Pléiade. This may be an indication that Desportes lived in a less distressed time. It also seems necessary to point out that he learned much in his early career by copying and studying the earlier works of La Pléiade. This has led some scholars to label him as a plagiarist, but it is important to realize that all the members of La Pléiade copied from each other when they wished to learn something new, and truly understand the style of the other poets in the group. Gouvy’s only choice of poems from his contemporaries, were the works of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872), a good friend of Gouvy’s. Much of his poetry was strongly political in support of freedom of the individual. He traveled to Leipzig in 1845, but when the authorities discovered a volume of patriotic poems entitled Kelch und Schwert (Chalice and Sword), he fled to Belgium and France. It is at this time that he possibly met Théodore Gouvy. Eighteen poems of Hartmann were translated from German to French by the French poet, Adolph Larmande, of whom very little is known. Pierre Toussaint Adolphe Larmande seems to have been a rather obscure poet and musician. We know that he taught music theory at the Paris Conservatory at the same time Anton Reicha and Michele Carafa were on the faculty. We also know that in 1847 he married an English woman by the name of Marie Caroline Bradley. There are random documents, such as a Certificate of Arrival in London, England, in 1837, but there are no birth and death dates given, and that includes his obituary notice.

Voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8492-31E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 7 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-31E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-31E).
