Sechs Bagatellen

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022029 Composed by Fredrik Schwenk…

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022029 Composed by Fredrik Schwenk. Contemporary. Score. 33 pages. Fredrik Schwenk #6303801. Published by Fredrik Schwenk (A0.1022029). The present cycle of six bagatelles was created on the occasion of the final examination Master Piano by Hector Docx, who studied in my composition class at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater from 2017 to 2020. He had rehearsed Ludwig van Beethoven's Bagatelles, Op. 126, for the occasion and consulted composers to write new bagatelles to be performed along with Beethoven's last piano work. This is how the later fourth Bagatelle first came into being, which takes up the tempo as well as an essential element of Beethoven's material, and from this follows an approach that is consistent in form and content. After the successful premiere, the idea arose to build a six-part cycle from it, which is oriented to Beethoven's material throughout. The cycle can be performed either together and in alternation with or independently and without Beethoven's Bagatelles, whereby a performance of the third Bagatelle without Beethoven makes little sense. The premiere of all the Bagatelles in conjunction with Beethoven's Bagatelles took place on September 26, 2020 at the Tonali Hall in Hamburg. Hector Docx played.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1208277 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Wedding. 10 pages. Jmsgu3 #805530. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1208277). 3. Allegretto. Beethoven's Bagatelles Op. 33 are quite typical of his early style, retaining many compositional features of the early Classical period. The first bagatelle in particular is arguably one of Beethoven's most well-known pieces. While they may seem light-hearted and not to be taken too seriously, they are still well-crafted works that embody the younger Beethoven's style. The Bagatelles Op. 33 were composed by Beethoven in 1801-02 and published in 1803. Bagatelles are shorter and less complex than sonatas, often consisting of a single movement. They were intended to be played as light entertainment or as encores at the end of a concert.Beethoven's Bagatelle No. 3 of Op. 33 showcases the composer's evolving style. Bagatelle No. 3 is in ternary form, with a lively and playful A section in F major that features a chromatic mediant relation. The A section is characterized by a rhythmic motif that is repeated throughout the piece, while the B section develops a lyrical melody that modulates briefly to the dominant: C major. The piece ends with a return to the A section, which is played with slight variations. Overall, the Bagatelle No. 3 is a charming and delightful piece that showcases Beethoven's mastery of form and his ability to create memorable melodies.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1208721 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. 19th Century,Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Traditional. Score and Parts. 19 pages. Jmsgu3 #806801. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1208721). 2. Scherzo: Allegro.Beethoven's Bagatelles Op. They were intended to be played as light entertainment or as encores at the end of a concert. The Bagatelle No. 2 of Op. 33 follows a simple ternary form, with a lively and playful Scherzo character. The piece is in the key of C major and is written in 2/4 time signature. The A section is characterized by a catchy and rhythmic melody that is repeated twice, with slight variations in the second repetition. The B section, in the relative key of A minor, provides a contrast to the A section with a more lyrical and expressive melody. The B section is also repeated twice, with slight variations in the second repetition. The A section returns in its original form to close the piece. The piece is relatively simple in terms of harmony and texture, with a clear melody and accompaniment. However, Beethoven's use of repetition, variation, and elaboration creates a sense of unity and coherence throughout the piece.

They were intended to be played as light entertainment or as encores at the end of a concert. The Bagatelle No. 4 of Op. 33 by Beethoven is a sentimental Andante set in ternary form. The piece is cast in the key of A major. The first section of the piece is characterized by a simple tuneful melody that is repeated throughout the section. The second section is in the parallel homotonic minor key of A minor and features a more dramatic and intensely brooding harmonic sequence with no actual melody. It’s like a thunderstorm threatening to upset a picnic, but no real damage was done. The third section brings us back to our optimistic A major environment and develops the melody through artful variation. The piece ends with a brief codetta featuring octave displacement. Overall, the piece is an excellent example of Beethoven's ability to create a memorable melody, and a contrasting harmonic sequence, and develop these in a short amount of time.

The first bagatelle from 5 Bagatelles for harmonium and string trio, Op. 47 by Antonin Dvorak, in a colorful arrangement for woodwind quintet. This music fits surprisingly well with a wind quintet. The melody lines sound beautifully varied in all voices. The main theme of the set is the opening of the folk song “Hrály dudy” (The bagpipes played). Dvorak really enjoyed writing the Bagatelles, and you can hear that in this lyrical music... and it's a joy to play!
